Doodlebug Spring Garden Disney Layout

Today I thought I'd share a Disney layout using Doodlebug's Spring Garden collection, which was on Doodlebug's blog earlier this week. Last April, when my daughter was in Louisiana on an Exchange year she had a school trip to Disney World, which was a dream come true. As she wanted me to scrap lots of her memories she came home with hundreds of photos, like these two of her and Daisy. I was so happy that the colors of the photos matched this collection to a tee!

As I couldn't decide which papers to use, I chose a design for which I needed lots of different papers and came up with these triangles. For the title I used my Silhouette Cameo and beneath it I adhered two strips of journaling, followed by two strips of fancy frills and an adorable little ladybug.

As this trip was definitely something to be thankful for I chose this journaling card, which I decorated with a few stickers, like for example "mr. sun doodle-pop":

In the bottom right corner I added some cardstock flower stickers and another ladybug sprinkle:

How I love this collection! Hope you do too!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! Wishing a wonderful day.

Hugs & Kisses - Scraptastic Club

A quick blog post about another layout I created with the fabulous March kit from Scraptastic Club "Sweet Child O' Mine" and the boys add-on.

The heart cut file is a Scraptastic cut file from February last year and is still one of my favorites.

The Crate Paper vellum sheet with all the gold words is just perfect to hand cut a title from!

The kit is full of Crate Paper's "Little You" collection and although my kids aren't very little anymore I love it sooooo much! Look at this super cute card:

Thanks you so much for stopping by my blog to have a look at my project! Have a fab day!

Happy Easter - Imaginisce

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share my Imaginisce Easter layout with you, which featured on their blog last Wednesday.

I created this layout, not using any real Spring/Easter papers at all, but with the beautiful papers of Imaginisce's Sunny collection and with some help of my beloved Silhouette Cameo.

Each year on Easter morning my kids go hunting for chocolate Easter eggs and bunnies my hubby and I hid the evening before; sometimes outside in the garden en sometimes in our house, depending on the weather. And although my kids are 11, 16 and 19 years old they all enjoy this tradition very very much!

I love the "Happy Easter" title I found in the Silhouette store because of the fun bunny ears and eyes on the "E". I used some pink American Crafts cardstock to cut it from.

I also cut the word "bunny" and the little chicken (from 17Turtles) with my Silhouette and added a little Imaginisce word sticker for the finishing touch. The strip with the colorful triangles on the right of the photo is one of the fun die-cuts in the Sunny collection:

To create the tags I used a punch from my stash:

The little banner was hand cut and the puffy sticker is from Imaginisce's "Let's Travel" collection:

With the addition of some stamped sentiments and the date and a few drops of ink my page was finished. Hope you like it!

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, word sticker, die-cut (Sunny collection), American Crafts: cardstock, twine, stamp.

For a good look at the "Sunny" collection hop over to this blog post and scroll down a little.

Btw, I happened to notice that Juliana, from 17Turtles, shares a few Easter/Spring cut files on her blog, among others the cute chicken I used!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Wishing you a wonderful day!

Love Here + Now | Pretty Little Studio

Hello everyone!! Today I want to share this page I created for Pretty Little Studio's blog using the brand new PLS designer collection from “Hello Heather” called "Here + There". And what an awesome collection this is! I adore the colors, the designs and all the gold elements. I used this fun photo of my daughter and her host sisters from last year. Because of all the blue colors in this photo I thought it was a perfect fit for this collection.

To create this layout I painted the white cardstock with pink watercolor paint and added a few drops of paint as well. While the cardstock dried I selected papers, a clear sheet and a 3×4 journaling card and layered these on top of each other. Using a small attacher I stapled these together and adhered the photo on top. Next I chose the large heart cut file from my own stash and adhered this too. When the cardstock had dried I adhered the little pile of papers with the photo & cut file and started decorating using some die-cuts like the flower, the flair, the word etc. and also added some handwritten journaling. Next came the little cluster in the bottom right corner and last but not least I added the machine stitching.

Flowers are not my “go to” embellishments, but I happily made an exception for these … aren’t they awesome?!

I’m a huge fan of flairs and use them on almost all of my layouts and this one is so fabulous!

I so adore the gold dipped die-cut hearts!!

PLS products used: Hello Heather, Here + There collection: paper: Here+ There 8×8 pack, Louvre, Jadore, Gold Metallic; Clear: Hello Pink; Die-Cuts: Bonjour Words, Heart of Gold, Here; Flair: Adventure;   Journaling Cards: Beau 3×4. Other: "love" cutting file: Studio Calico.

Thank you so much for stopping by our blog to take a peek at my project!

Paper Issues Spring Crop | March Into Spring Challenge

With all the new collections in my possession, I wanted nothing more than to use those! So I decided to do another layout for one of Paper Issues Spring Crop challenges, this time for the "March Into Spring" challenge and use the "Everyday" collection from Pebbles.

The photo was taken not last weekend, but the weekend before when I was away for a couple of days with 2 of my best friends to do nothing more than scrap, read, laugh, shop, eat and sleep. Bliss!! I want more of those weekends!!

Pebbles' Everyday collection is so beautiful with all the golds, awesome die-cuts and fabulous colors!

And at the moment I have a thing for using watercolor paints. I love the look of it!

Thanks for stopping by today! Wishing you a wonderful week!

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Welcome and thanks for stopping by today. I'm so happy to be playing along with the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

The Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop started today Friday, March 18th and will run through Friday, March 25th. The theme for this hop is Spring and the Spring Garden collection from Doodlebug seemed just perfect to use to create a card. I pinned this digital coffee stamp long ago and knew straight away I wanted to use this as well! So here's what I created:

To create this card, I stamped the image and the sentiment onto white cardstock and then colored in the image of the woman using Stampin' Write Markers and Copic Markers and used a glitter brush to give the coffee cup a bit of a sparkle. Finally, I fussy cut the image and adhered it to the card front.

Here are the details for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop:

  • To play along all you have to do is create a new Spring coffee, tea and/or cocoa themed project and then head over over to the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog to link it up and to check out all of the details.

Paper Issues Spring Crop!

Hi everyone! Today is my day off and I decided to join in Paper Issues' Spring Crop! One of the challenges that caught my eye straight away was the "Tic-Tac-Toe" challenge. So I grabbed the Fancy Pants "Happy Place" collection that just had arrived and got started. I chose the tic-tac-tow row "cardstock - stamp - paint/mist" and here's what I did:

I love using paints and inks, but hate the wobbly cardstock it creates. So when my page had dried I adhered it to another (very sturdy and straight) piece of cardstock and machine stitched it as well and that helped some.

Here's the "Tic-Tac-Toe" image we got:

And here are a few detail photos of my page: btw, the flair is from a much older FP collection (Memories Captured).

I love that this Fancy Pants collection contains so many ephemera and die-cuts!!

I loved playing along and hope I'll find the time to join in a few more of the fun challenges. If you've got the time then don't hesitate and play along too! You'll find the challenges on Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook Page.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Doodlebug Bunnyville Projects

Hi everyone! Last Monday it was my turn to share my Bunnyville projects on Doodlebug's blog. I had such a great time creating these projects that I can't wait to show them to you here as well.

First of all I made this shadow box using lots of the Bunnyville stickers. The stickers are so cute I just needed to use as many of them as possible and so I came up with this shadow box idea:

I love decorating my house for Eastern, so this box is just perfect!

The shadow box comes from my own stash and wasn't of a very good quality, so I wanted to do something to cover that up and adhered Doodlebug's washi tape on all sides. I think it looks much better now!

And aren't those birdies adorable?! (I have a soft spot for Doodlebug's birdies... )

And then on to my next project ... here's a layout of my youngest who came home from school with a huge drawing of an Eastern egg. He was so proud of it that I had to scrap this (even though the photo is from a couple of years ago)!

Here's a detail photo of my title: "you" was cut using my Silhouette Cameo and adhered with little staples. For the words "make me" I used the Tangerine colored Teensy Type letter stickers and the word "smile" comes from the Spring Garden collection.

Have I already mentioned how I love all the super cute stickers? Yes? I thought so, but I really do! And just look at that mini carrot sprinkle! So awesome!

To check out the entire Bunnyville collection just click HERE to hop over to Doodlebug's catalog on their website.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! And I would love to learn what you think of my projects! Wishing you a wonderful day.

Pretty Little Studio Pinterest Inspired Layout

Hi everyone, here's a layout I created for Pretty Little Studio's "Pinterest Inspiration" feature. I used the "Let's Go" collection because of the soft colors of some of the papers, which were perfect for what I had in mind.

This is the Pinterest image we used:

I really love the soft colors of this photo so I chose a few papers, a clear sheet and a vellum strip in soft neutral colors and got started. I selected this photo of my daughter and her partner because of the romantic aspect of the Pinterest photo.

I also added a journaling card, some die-cut feathers and flair button, but wasn’t very happy with the end result. I decided to add a large pink flower cut file, a large title and a die-cut note flag with a gold heart sticker and that was so much better. (The sentiment I stamped on the note flag came from my stash.)

Next came the banner in the top right corner, the machine stitching and the paint drops and I was finished!

PLS Products Used: Let’s Go Collection: paper: Boston, Portland, Zurich, Denver; Clear: Snapshot Grey; Vellum Tape: Let’s Go; Journaling Cards: Itinerary 3×4; Flair: Fresno; Die-Cuts: Feathers Florida, Note Flags Nebraska, Tabs Tahiti; Cut-Aparts: Word Flags West; Stickers: Geotags Gold.
Other: cut files: Silhouette Store #11453 (rose branch) and the "love" word I forgot ... sorry! if you really want to know I'm sure I can find it somewhere.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, I really appreciate it!
Have a great day!
