My Creative Scrapbook - Christmas Tree Button Cards

Hello friends. Today I thought I would share my "button" Christmas cards with you. I received the December Creative Kit from Pam from the kit club My Creative Scrapbook containing among others the "Gnome for Christmas" collection from Photo Play Paper, puffy phrase stickers from Pinkfresh Studio and a package with buttons from Pebbles. As I want to send my family and friends a "real" and handmade Christmas card this year, I decided to use the kit also to create some fun Christmas cards.

These are the cards I created:

Here're the puffy phrase stickers, the buttons and the word stickers I used for my cards:

For the base of my 4" x 6" cards I chose a piece of kraft cardstock, a piece of patterned paper and a piece of red cardstock.

Using red and yellow twine I tied little bows in the top buttons and knots in the rest of the buttons:

I adhered the red cardstock on top of the patterned paper and machine stitched all the sides of the red cardstock:

With large glue dots I adhered the buttons in a "tree design" onto the red cardstock:

Below the button tree I placed on of the word stickers from the Photo Play Paper sticker sheet:

From the sheet with the Pinkfresh Studio "Oh What Fun" puffy phrases I chose a word that fitted the size of the card and adhered this below the word sticker and the button tree:

Using double sided sticky tape I adhered the card onto the kraft cardstock base:

And I was done!! Really loving the result!

Here are a few close-ups of my cards:

Joyful | Pretty Little Studio

Hello Pretty Little Studio friends! It’s Monique here today and I’m so happy it’s my turn on the blog to share my Christmas Cheer layout with you! For this layout I also used my watercolor paints and my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the cupcake. The photo is an oldie, from 8 years ago and isn’t very beautiful, but as it holds an important memory for me I decided to use it anyway.

I love the new Christmas Cheer papers and colors and love the combination with the vintage die-cuts like the dog die-cut I used here.

Isn’t she cute?! The red stitches below the photo is a clear sticker. Don’t they look exactly like the stitches from my sewing machine?

The cupcake is a cut file I got from Cut To You and I really love how it looks with the papers from the Holiday Cheer collection behind it.

Above the photo I adhered a few lines of journaling, typed with my pink We R Memory Keepers typewriter (love that you can type in two colors!). Behind the photo I added a journaling card from the “Holiday Promps” package and on the photo two word die-cuts.

At the top of the journaling card I adhered another piece of the clear “stitched” sticker.
Luckily I managed to fix my sewing machine (it broke down a week ago) so I was able to add a stitched line along all four sides of my layout. With the addition of the stitching my page was finished! Hope you like it.

Wishing you a wonderful week and thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to take a look in the shop at this awesome Christmas Cheer collection!

Here’s a quick list of the PLS products I used:

Family Is Everything | Step-By-Step My Creative Scrapbook November Creative Kit

Hello friends! Are you already in the mood for Christmas & Christmas layouts? I am! I was so happy when Pam from My Creative Scrapbook sent me the amazing November Creative kit filled with Crate Paper's Hey, Santa collection!

Here's the layout for which I've made a little step-by-step:

Except for November Creative kit I've also used one of this month's free subscriber cut files:

The first thing I did was cutting 12 strips of paper, measuring 2" x 12". As I couldn't choose which paper I liked best, I cut off strips of six different papers. As they are double sided I now had 12 different designs.

Next I cut these in smaller parts, varying in length:

I arranged them on my background cardstock, leaving a spot where my photos was going to be:

Using my Singer sewing machine I stitched all of these in place:

I already love this, even without the photo!

Next I placed the matted photo and the cut file on my page to see how it looked and trying to decide where my embellishments should go. One thing was sure, Santa had to be included!

Here are a few detail photos of the finished layout:

This is it! Easy peasy! I'm so happy I received this kit, I'm totally in love with it! ! We Need A Little Christmas | My Creative Scrapbook November Creative Kit

This month I received the Creative kit from Pam, from the kit club My Creative Scrapbook. It's because she knows how much I love Christmas collections and especially when they are cute! The November Creative kit features the Crate Paper Hey, Santa collection, which so super cute! Here's my first page:

And here are a few detail photos:

I just love that the kit contains both cardstock & vellum die-cuts, but also chipboards. I love the chipboard car above and the cardstock santa and vellum bow below.

In the top left square I created a little pocket for some journaling cards:

Back to School | Step-by-step tutorial for My Creative Scrapbook

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing the step-by-step I created for My Creative Scrapbook of my "Back to school" layout which I made with the wonderful October Main Kit featuring the Fresh Bouquet collection from Crate Paper and one of the free subscriber cut files. I also used this month's sketch for this layout.

This is the layout I created, with a (not so recent) photo of my oldest son on his first day of school after the summer holidays.

And this is the October sketch I also used:

When I got started on my page I displayed everything I had left of the kit:

And I selected a whole bunch of my border punches:

I punched about 15 borders of approx. 0.5 and 0.75 inch wide:

I also cut the "Back to school" cut file using my Silhouette Cameo:

Next I also cut three mats for my 4" x 6" photo and chose a blue sheet of cardstock from my stash for the background:

While deciding how I wanted to build my page I came to the conclusion I wanted to separate the "Back to school" cut file. So, using a pair of scissors I just cut them apart:

The punched strips of paper I used for the top left corner. I adhered them in the order I wanted them, turned the page around and cut off the excess parts:

The photo was matted on three different pieces of paper and was placed in the bottom right corner of the layout:

I selected the die-cuts that had something to do with school, like the row of books, and placed these around the photo. I also added the two parts of the "Back to school" cut file; one on the photo and one behind it.

Next I got my sewing machine and stitched around my page:

I also stitched on other places of my layout, like here over the cut file:

And I stitched above the photo:

And here over one of the die-cuts:

I added a few lines of handwritten journaling and a few drops of silver colour mist and I was done!

I really loved working with this kit! I had so much fun creating this page!
