A layout & a card!!

As it's Monday I can show you Liz' new sketch for this week!

And here's my take on it:

My dear sis gave me this wonderful photo of Julia, my niece and I knew straight away that I would scrap it!! I grabbed my May Nook kit and got started.

For the background I used Core Impressions "Cosmo Cricket", for the rest of the layout I used October Afternoon "Fly a Kite" papers, Wild Cards & Mini Market Stickers in green and for the title I used American Crafts Thickers Umbrella Alphabet and Jillibean Soup Corrugated Alphas (former kit).
The butterflies, the circle and the photo camera's are all stamps from myStampBOX!!
I used the following stamp sets:

If you like this sketch as much as I do then maybe you'll want to give it a try too!! Don't forget to post a link to your layout on The Scrappiest blog!
You'll have a chance to win a fabulous kit from Scraptacular if you do!!

Last but not least I want to show you a card I scrapped "just because"!
I used this sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You:

And this is my take on it:

Again I used my "Colorful Companions" stamp set from myStampBOX! <3 them!!!

The background circle "congratulations" I got from Marjan's blog!! Thanks Marjan!!

This is it for now. Hope you enjoyed my efforts!!

A new layout and a weekend away!

Let me start with the layout I created for Liz and The Scrappiest.

This is the new sketch:

And this is my take on it:

I used the May Nook kit which was filled with wonderful October Afternoon goodies and my new stamps from myStampBOX!!! I used "Road Trip" and "Snapshot", love them!!!

And then some photos of our weekend away! As we had the Monday off we decided to book a holiday cottage in Mierlo. It was terrific!!! The weather was awesome and there was soooo much to do!! And you know what I liked best??? That it was only 1,5 hours away!!!

One of the reasons we were here was the birthday party of Jesper, Fred and Patrick's father on Sunday which was being held here (we booked our holiday cottage secretly to surprise Patrick's sister and her family!! and it worked!!)

Today we had to leave because the kids have to go to school tomorrow.... but it feels like we've been away for at least a week!!!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you'll leave a comment!!

My Little Shoebox mini album

Today I want to share this mini album I created with My Little Shoebox products! I used the photos I had taken the day Mats learned to cycle without the trainers!!!

I had sooooo much fun creating this album that I just couldn't stop, so that night I went to bed around 1.30 am!! (and had to rise at 6.30 am..... you don't wanna know what my eyes looked like!! LOL!)

For this album I used all the different MLS lines I had, that means:

* All A Flutter
* Lil' Critter
* Away We Go
* Flying High
* Just Add Butter
and my favorite:
* Imaginary Friends!!
and of course their mini alpha's!!!
(but those I use on every project!!)

This is it!! Thanks for stopping by and would love to read what you think about my album!!

A little impression of Denmark!

I know, I know, we've been back for a week now and still there are no photos!!! BUT.... here they are!!! A little impression of how our holiday has been!!!

The first few days we stayed in a holiday cottage in Middlefart. The kids (and the grown-ups too) enjoyed themselves tremendously because there was a swimmingpool, a playground, the sea, ICECREAM and some deer and very nearby Arhus with the "hus" of Hans Christian Andersen" and a scrapbook store!!
After Middlefart we went to Copenhagen. The huge building on the right was our hotel; it was situated right across the entrace of Tivoli!! As Patrick had to work for 3 days I took the kids to do some sight seeing. We jumped on a "hop on - hop off" bus and saw soooo many sights! I really loved to see "Nyhaven" with the colored houses, the little "hotdogs" stalls, the red mail boxes and would have loved to see the mermaid, but alas she was on holiday as well.... to Japan!
And then here are some photos taken in Tivoli! According to the kids this was the best day of the whole week! We spent here one day from 11 a.m. until almost closing time 11 p.m.!!!
This really was a FABULOUS vacation!!! We're hoping to go back to Denmark in July!!

Thanks for visiting my blog and hope to see you back some time!

So much to share....

.... and so little time!

Let me begin with my post on myStampBOX!!! This month the Friday was appointed to me and that meant a "show and tell" post. I decided on this cute doorhanger. Used the papers from My Little Shoebox and combined them with the myStampBOX stamps "Abundant Blossoms".

I stamped a lot of flowers on different sheets of papers and cut them out, then I cut out a few images from the MLS papers, embroidered a few images, added a border, some ribbon and a "title" and created this:

If you have some time on your hands please head over to the blog of myStampBOX and leave me some love!!

Then secondly, this morning I got an e-mail from Pamela Young from ScrapStreet.com Magazine requesting one of my layouts for publication in one of their future magazines!!!! How exciting is that!!!!!

And then last but not least, THREE of my layouts are now featured on Nikki Sivils' blog!!!!! Please have a look (and maybe leave a comment....??).

This is it for now.... the photos of Denmark are on their way, I promise!!

New layout with My Little Shoebox!

I just{heart} everything from My Little Shoebox and bought every single paper my LSS had in store....the only line they didn't have was the"Lil' Critter" line :(. And then when I was in Denmark last week I visited the house Hans Christian Andersen was born in, in Odense, and you know what I found???? The biggest and oldest scrapbook store of whole Denmark right beside it!!!! And you can probably guess what I bought there.... the "Lil' Critter" line from MLS!!

So here's my layout, made with Liz' new sketch:

and here a collage of some details:

and this is sketch #64 from The Scrappiest:

Don't you just love this sketch??? And by now you probably know that if you create a layout based on this sketch and link it to the blog of The Scrappiest you'll have a chance to win the May kit from Scraptacular!!!
