A few layouts made with my Crop Addict February Kit!

The last few days I've been very busy scrapping and I loved every minute of it! You know why? Because the February Kit from Crop Addict is as gorgeous as ever; filled with lots of Bella Blvd, which I absolutely LOVE!!!

Here are the first layouts  I made:

Jump For Joy:

My son having fun on the trampoline!

30 December:

.
A layout about my youngest on the day he turned 6! And when you're six you act goofy as soon as someone wants to take your pic!! LOL!

Aged to Perfection:

A layout about my dad and his wife ... who isn't my mom, but who's very sweet! She's the one who made the green and blue flowers. Aren't those cute? The rest is all from the February kit.

This is it for now. I'm off to scrap some more!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!

You hold the Key to my Heart!

Yesterday another one of my layouts was up on the Sampler's blog (The Crop Spot). It's called "You hold the Key to my Heart" and is about my dd and me.

I find I love to create layouts with all different kinds and colors of papers. Normally I scrap with one certain line from one manufacturer, but this kit forces me to let that go and scrap with what I have at hand .... and it works quite well for me. I love to use all these different colors on 1 layout!

A close-up of the heart and the flower centre, which are both made with my tools from Epiphany Crafts  (LOVE those, but hey you know that, LOL).

The title is hand cut from some cardstock scraps I had left and with the press-on from Pink Paislee they look actually quite nice, I think.

The day I finished this layout my dd came home all upset because she had been bullied by a girl from school (who had hit and kicked her and knocked her off her bike). When something like that happens to your little girl you realize all the more how much you love your kids! You don't want to know what I wanted to do to this other girl! but I didn't, I was good and contacted the school and let them deal with it (which they are doing very well, luckily!).

Ok, I got sidetracked.... back to The Sampler! This layout was also made with the January Kit. If you want to see what the other designers made with their kit, why not have a look at The Sampler's blog "The Crop Spot"?

This is it for now!
Thanks for stopping by and a BIG hug from me!

Here is ..... SKETCH NO. 100!!!!!

And here is my take on it:

December 30th my youngest turned six and his teacher at school made him a party hat! It's supposed to resemble a miner's hat with a big diamond in it! I used the January kit from The Sampler for this layout .... LOVE this kit!

To add to the fun I tell you 3 things about myself you might not know... here we go:

1. I really really HATE sprouts, I can't even stand the smell of them!
2. I'm very impulsive; I often say or do things impulsively that I regret later ....
3. I have a thing with the number 11: I've lived on 11 different addresses, I've  had 11 different jobs, I was born in the 11th month, we have 11 fish, Murphy (our former dog) was 11 years old when she died and now it's the year 2011, LOL!!!

To celebrate The Scrappiest 100th sketch I've decided on giving away a RAK too! and maybe you can guess.... this RAK will consist of 11 different things!! For a chance to win it, all you have to do is become a follower of my blog (if you aren't already) and leave me comment!!

Pink and Purple

Yesterday was my turn again to post my layouts on the INKIDO blog!

When I opened my new Inkido box last week I was so happy to see what was sent to me ..... pink and purple papers and lots of flowers!!! I LOVE pink and purple!! and because I have 2 sons and only 1 daughter this layout is about .... my daughter! Not really a surprise :-)

Here are my daughter with her grandmother (my mother) some 13 years ago.

And one of the stamps I got was this gorgeous cross stitched heart stamp!

Inkido materials I used: Patterned paper: Inkido: Drömmat (Ruta Rosa), Papir Design: Ingrid, Ladybug & Friends: Piece of Cake (For Someone You Love), white corrugated cardboard, flowers, crystals, charm and the heart stamp. And from my own stash: purple ink, pen and glitterglue.

And then my second layout: Last year, when we celebrated my SIL's birthday, we decided on a little photoshoot and this is one of the photos I took: my dh with his parents, his brother and his sister. I printed this photo straight away, but as the right papers didn't come along it stayed on my desk for almost a year.... until now!

I have almost no purple papers in my stash, not because I don't love them, but because there are almost no purples to be found. So I was very happy when I found these in my Inkido box!!

Inkido materials I used: patterned paper: Ladybug and Friends: For Someone You Love (From this moment and Piece of Cake!), Papirdesign, White cardstock, ribbon, stamp, butterfly charm, crystals, flowers, leaves, pearl. And of course I machine stitched my layout (it just doesn't feel complete without a stitched border).

And do you want to see some of the new papers INKIDO is releasing right now? Yes, I thought you would!! LOL!

Aren't these FABULOUS???!!! I can't wait for them to arrive in my mail!! If you want to see more of the new releases just visit Inkido's blog!! The new stamps are to die for too!!!

Thanks for visiting my blog today and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

My No.1 Bookshop .....

..... has a Coffee Corner!! This is one of the layouts I created with the January kit from The Sampler (Scrapbooking Supplies R Us). I absolutely love the versatility of this kit!!

The photos are taken in a bookstore in Copenhagen, Denmark in May 2010. Everywhere I am I just HAVE to visit all the bookstores. And because it takes me hours (well, with the kids there too maybe a bit less, LOL) I crave some coffee (and the kids hot chocolate) when I'm done!

And some details: love the stamp! and creating the flower was fun!

The alpha stickers are the only items that come from my own stash, the rest is all from the kit!!

If you want to see the projects of the other members of the design team, have a look at the blog! It's filled with so much inspiration!!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

January Sketch Challenge at The Sampler!

Today is the day I can finally show you the very first layout I created with the January "A Bright New Year" kit from The Sampler!!

Here's the January sketch:

And here's my take on it; a layout about my dd with two of her friends, all dressed in the same attire! Don't you just love that Bazzill Blackbird Glazed Stripe paper??? I used my edge distresser and added some red machine stitching to give it a final touch.

The flowers in the lefthand bottom corner I handcut from the sheet "Scarlett, Polka" from Glitz Design. The only thing that wasn't in the kit is the bookpage I tore from one of my own books.

The bird I cut from the American Crafts laser cut sheet and then I added the Pink Paislee press-on on top of it.

The "3" comes from the Jillibean Soup sheet and to make it stand out I used my new 1 inch Epiphany Craft tool to create an epoxy shape.

Nap time!

With the new sketch for the Dutch Dares blog I created the layout below. I used some old photos of Mats, napping on a sun bed on a beach in Greece. I used papers from one of my favorite manufacturers: Sassafras! and of course I used one of the Epiphany Crafts tools: round 14.

And here the round epoxy shapes from Epiphany Crafts.

En dit is Marscha's schets:

Als je ook besluit de schets te gebruiken voor je layout vergeet dan niet om 'm door te linken naar het blog van de Dutch Dares. Wie weet ben jij onze volgende gast designer!!

If you would like to be our next guest designer then use the sketch and link it to the blog of the Dutch Dares.... who knows, you might win!!

Thanks for visiting my blog again and hope to see you back soon!!

My Mum - sketch #99 The Scrappiest!

After scrapping of photo of my dad last week, I thought that this week it was high time to scrap a photo of my mum! So here it is.... a layout with lots of her favorite things in it: antique typewriter, antique photo camera, little birdies, music, yellow flowers, rust colored clothes, France, antique watch, handwritten text... it's all there!

She used to have this exact typewriter and now I have it...

And she always used to wear watches like these! She actually had a few of them and the ones she wasn't wearing hung on the wall in the living room. The postcard of Lyon, France, I bought in the south of France and is soooo her. Creating this layout was a hard thing to do, I still miss her so much, sigh.

I used the November 2010 Nook kit again with lots of Cosmo Cricket "circa 1934".

The layout is based on this sketch by Liz, The Scrappiest, number 99:

We are only one week away from our 100th sketch celebration! We have a lot of fun stuff planned for next week with a whole lotta' sketches and prizes all week long. So don't forget - the fun starts on Monday Jan 24 and ends on Friday Jan 28th!!!

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon!
