Mix & Match

This week it is "mash up" week at My Little Shoebox. We were asked to create a layout mixing up any of the MLS papers we wanted.

I love assignments like these as that's what I love to do most ... not being confined to just one collection, but to just use whatever I feel like.

So here's what I made, which was on MLS' blog last Monday. A page with an old photo of Manon (16 years old, to be exact).

Although I really love to find old photos like this one (found this while clearing out my mum's house), they also scare the hell out of me .... they make me realize even more how time flies! I can remember so well, the day I took this photo and it doesn't feel like 16 years ago AT ALL!!! Can someone tell how I can stop the time? Please!!!

and a few close-up photos:

Supplies I used: Patterned Paper: Aiko (One Fine Day), Up in the Trees (Woodgrain Love and Free as a Bird), Keepsake (Window View),Lovely Day (New Story). Cardstock Stickers: Lovely Day and Keepsake. Other: Cardstock (Bazzill), Doilies (misc), Pen (Smash, K&Company).
Tools: Silhouette Cameo.

If you love My Little Shoebox as much as I do and you live in California (Berkeley), then maybe this is something for you! I wish  their warehouse was a little bit nearer, then I would certainly have gone there myself!

Thanks for stopping by again and hope you have a wonderful day!

January Doodlebug projects

Hi everyone! Today I'm back with some projects made with Doodlebug's new fantastic LOVEBIRDS collection! I absolutely adore this collection. The colors and patterns are so bright and happy and I so love all those cute stickers and embellishments!

Let me show you what I made. First up is this layout about my 3 kids:

See that tiny envelope with the note? Isn't it adorable?

Next I have a layout about my daughter meeting Minnie Mouse in New York:

This is it! Isn't this collection absolutely fabulous!! For more inspiration, hop over to Doodlebug's blog! They are featuring this collection the whole month!

Supplies: Doodlebug's Lovebirds collection: Patterned Paper; Cardstock Stickers: This & That, Doodles Seals, Fancy Frills, Icons; Heart Pearls and washi tape.

For the titles on my layouts I used my Silhouette Cameo.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

{ GOOD DOG }

Today Imaginisce's second reveal party has started. This week they're revealing their new "Good Dog" collection. An awesome collection for everyone with a cute doggie or maybe a cute doggie cuddly toy.

As most of you know, I have a super cute Cocker Spaniel so the choice was easy ... here's a layout with our sweet Jippie in the spotlights:

and a detail photo of the paw print sticker stacker:

Jippie is only 2,5 half years old here and very playful. The toy she's holding was her very favorite (sadly it passed away a couple of months later ... ) and every time she wanted to play with us she would bring us this thing and dangle it in front of us frantically chewing it as there's a "peep" in every leg. We never could resist her, I mean look at those eyes!

Here's a quick card I also made:

So, what do you think? Fun collection right? This week you have the chance to win the entire collection. Just leave a comment on Imaginisce's blog this week (or every day this week) and you'll be automatically entered into a random drawing!

If you want to see the complete collection have a look HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today and hope to see you back soon!

Imaginisce's Childhood Memories layouts

I'm so sorry for not being here most of last week, but I've been in bed with the flu. Although I still don't feel too well I just had to get up and post this.

Last week was the release week of Imaginisce's new collection "Childhood Memories". I've really loved working with this awesome colorful collection!

Here are my two layouts which were shown on Imaginisce's blog last Friday: first one about my youngest son and his very best friend having a great time at the Queen's Day fair: "Love life & life will love you back"

and a few close-ups:

Don't you just love that camera sticker? and you know what? there's also a camera stamp!!

And my second layout is called "Look the Simpsons!" which was exactly what the kids said when they saw them sitting in this street in Middelfart, Denmark.

For both my layouts I've put my Silhouette Cameo to good use!

If you want to see what the collection looks like then have a look HERE! Fabulous right?

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I really appreciate your visits!
Have a great weekend!

Dutch Card Lovers #170

Al maanden ben ik van plan om eens mee te doen met de challenges van de "Dutch Card Lovers", maar steeds komt het er niet van ... tot vandaag! Vandaag was het echt weer om thuis - lekker warm - een kaartje te maken!

For quite a while now I've been wanting to join in the challenges of the "Dutch Card Lovers", but I never seemed to find the time, until today!! with their fun sketch I made this Valentine's card using Doodlebug's Lovebirds collection.

Voor DCL challenge #170 heb ik Doodlebug's nieuwe collectie "Lovebirds" gebruikt en er een echt Valentijns kaartje van gemaakt:

en dit is de schets die erbij hoort:

Leuk he?

Alhoewel ik van plan was om vandaag heel veel te scrappen is het helaas bij dit ene kaartje gebleven. Maar gelukkig morgen weer een dag.

Nog een hele fijne avond en bedankt dat je even op mijn blog langs kwam!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, hope to see you back soon!

Mini Album "Girls Day Out"

My Little Shoebox was having a product swap with Punky Sprouts and the designers could get a Punky Sprouts mini album if they wished ... well I did!

During the hectic month of December I had so much fun "unwinding" with this fun mini album from Punky Sprouts and MLS' Oh, Deer! collection! I find nothing more relaxing than creating a mini album.... every day I do just one page, no hurry, just having fun with this awesome collection!

I made this album about a day out with my friends. Let me show you:

and the inside pages:

And this is the Punky Sprouts album I used: "Soul Sprout":

I really loved this album; no two pages are the same even the texture of a lot of pages is different! And although the Oh, Deer! collection is all about nature and woods and little animals living in those woods it worked perfectly with my city-photos!

MLS supplies: Oh, Deer! collection: Patterned Paper: Creekside Trail (50051), A walk in the Woods (50052), Knock on Wood (50053), Happy Campers (50054); 3D Roll-Up Flower and Accents (50055); Cardstock Stickers (50056); Muse Alphabet Stickers: Woodgrain (50106), Newsprint (50102); Mini Alphabet Stickers: Apple (50156), Cream (50152); Trim Pack: Morning Mist (50057).

Other supplies: Punky Sprouts mini album "Soul Sprout"; Flowers, Words-To-Go, Pen: K&Company; Chipboard Words: Maya Road; Twine: The Twinery; Wood Veneer Shapes: Studio Calico; Pen: Stabilo; Stamping Ink: ColorBox and VersaMagic; Doilies: Royal Lace, Pipoos; Embroidery Thread: misc.

That's it for today! Thank you so much for visiting my blog and hope you enjoyed my album.

{ FRANCE }

Last October I won a scrapbooking kit from "C'est Magnifique". It was the most magnificent kit I had ever seen! Truly! It was filled with papers mainly from Inkido (Sunshine collection), 2 sheets from Teresa Collins, shapes from Kaiserkraft, ribbons, flowers (Inkido), stickers and transparencies from MME and an chipboard alphabet from FabScraps ... there was sooo much! The kit was lying on my desk waiting to be used, so when it was time for this sketch from Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge I knew what I was going to use!

Here's my page:

And some details:

The photos are Instagram photos of our vacation in France last July 2012.

And this is Anne's sketch for January:

I would love for you to join us this month!! There's an awesome prize from Scrapbook Fantasies for grabs or you could win be our guest designer for a month. Hop over to "Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge's" blog and have a look at both the prize and the layouts of the other designers!

Thanks for visiting my blog again today and hope to see you back soon!

New Doodlebug Winter Releases!!

How I wish I could go to CHA! Every year I promise myself that next time I'll go ... but I never do.... but I keep hoping that one day I'll be there! It would be easier to go together with one or more other scrappers, so who'll join me next time?

For now I do have the new Doodlebug Winter Releases!!!

LOVEBIRDS (on my desk right now!)

TAKE NOTE:

STARS AND STRIPES:

DOODLE-POPS:

CARDSTOCK STICKERS:

LOTS OF WASHI TAPES!! (these are only a few)

There are two other fabulous new collections: Fruit Stand and Flower Box and if you want to see those too, have a look at Doodlebug's blog! (I had the photos included in this blogpost as well, but the post had so many pics it wouldn't load anymore, so I removed them).

And? What you do think? Awesome right??
