Belated Father's Day Card - Lily Bee

Op vaderdag vierden we het verjaardagsfeestje van Mats en dus hadden we geen tijd voor het "vaderdag-ontbijt" dat we eigenlijk hadden willen doen. Dus zouden we dat een weekje later doen ... maar toen vergaten we het (de vader niet, maar de kinderen en ik wel!)! Maar vandaag hebben we dan eindelijk het "echte" vaderdag ontbijt gehouden! en daar hoort een kaartje bij!

I made a belated Father's Day card for Patrick as he didn't get one two weeks ago. On Father's Day we celebrated Mats' birthday party (he had his bday in December, lol) and because we didn't want to rush it we decided to celebrate Father's Day a week later ... and then the kids and I forgot all about it, shame on us! So now we celebrated Patrick's Father's Day today. Here's the card I created for him (even though he's not my father of course).

Doodlebug PageMaps layout

At Doodlebug we're using Becky Fleck's PageMaps sketches this week. We all got to choose a sketch to our own liking and create a layout with that.

I used my typewriter to type my journaling straight onto the layout:

Shaped Cards week at Imaginisce!

For this week the Imaginisce design team was asked to design a "shaped card" and because I now have the Silhouette Cameo, creating a shaped card was EASY! 

I used Imaginisce's "Outdoor Adventure" collection, which I love not only for its cute designs, but also for the warm colors. The card I chose to create is all about warm colors, look:

I cut the shape twice (one mirrored) and stitched them together. Then I cut and added a fun sentiment and ... ready! 

Supplies: Imaginisce (Outdoor Adventure: patterned paper). Tools: Silhouette Cameo and shape design (sunset) by Loni Stevens, sentiment design by Samantha Walker.

American Crafts Shoreline Projects!

As of September last year I've been a member of the kit club "Scraptastic Club" and I just love it there. The kits and stamps are fabulous & everyone is so super friendly!

The very first kit I received was the "Just Beachy" kit and its add-on, filled with American Crafts' Shoreline collection! How I loved this kit!!! I created a layout straight away (and showed it to you way back in September), but I never got to share the other projects I made with it, so that's what I'll do now!

I used my Silhouette Cameo to create the pinwheels. The sticks of the pinwheels are covered in (Doodlebug) washi tape. The ribbon is from May Arts.

Black Ice Projects - Imaginisce

This week Imaginisce is having the "Black Ice" reveal week and these are the projects I created with this new collection:

A layout of my daughter:

The doilies, title and bird with heart were cut with the Silhouette Cameo, the birds on a row and the butterflies with Martha Stewart punches:

And a photo frame:

The brads were made with the I-Top tool from Imaginisce, the title with the Silhouette Cameo and the butterflies with the MS punch.

I just love to combine all the different patterns in this collection!

What I find so fantastic about this collection is that it can be used for all kinds of projects: classic, romantic, everyday, wedding, kids .... you name it! Hop over to Imaginisce's blog to have a look at all the fabulous projects the design team created with this collection!

This makes me ridiculously happy!

For the June 15 challenge at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge I created this layout about my two sons, using a photo from more than 8 years ago! How time flies!

I love everything about this photo (except that it's so dark), see that look on Timothy's face and look at those hands ...  Tim was so in love with his baby brother!

I mainly used the Dear Lizzy/American Crafts "Neapolitan" collection for this page. Such an awesome collection!!

Another sunny Doodlebug layout!

I just can't get enough of Doodlebug's collections! They really make me happy!

Here's another layout I created with one of their collections. This time I used Fruit Stand. And I know it must  sound crazy, but because I love this collection so much I have such a hard time cutting the papers up. So for this page I used lots and lots of scraps I had left from one of my other projects. Crazy right? Considering, I have a whole pile of the new papers on my desk ....

But I love the result:

Boys layout using DOODLEBUG!

With Father's Day approaching I've got a "masculine" Doodlebug layout to share with you. Lots of crafters consider Doodlebug's colors and designs too feminine for a boys layout/card and I'm about to show you Doodlebug is just perfect for boys layouts!

Using the "Take Note" collection I created this page about my husband and sons:

The photos were taken last year during our holiday in France. The Tour the France was passing very near where we were staying and of course they couldn't resist the chance to cheer them on!

Hopping with Imaginisce and Tombow!!

Hi there, welcome to my blog!!

This week Imaginisce and Tombow have teamed up for a super fun blog hop and I'm so happy you're joining me today. I hope you've been enjoying the hop this week!

Let me show you what I created for today's hop: a layout about my daughter and my youngest son playing in the street with their water guns. For this page I used Imaginisce's Endless Summer collection and Tombow's Dual Brush Pens (Jelly Bean set) and their adhesives. 

I was really happy I got to work with some of Tombow's products because I just love their markers and their adhesive is amazing!

Here're some details of the Snag'em Stamps (sun) from Imaginisce I colored with the Dual Brush Pens (Jelly Bean set) from Tombow. They are a perfect combo! The colors in this collection are super fun and bright!

Let me show you one of the ways I stamped the sun. The sun at the top of my page is stamped in a "normal" way with an black ink pad and then I colored the image using the soft side of the pens. However, for the second stamped sun I used the pens to color the stamp (see image below) and then I stamped the image.

and then it looks like this: fun right? 

I adhered the wood veneers using the Power Tabs from Tombow (which is an adhesive with a bit of dimension) to make them pop a bit.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Endless Summer: patterned papers, Snag 'em Stamp (sun), Die Cuts); Tombow (Mono Adhesive, Dual Brush Pen set (Jelly Bean), Power Tabs); Other supplies: Studio Calico wood veneers and Freckled Fawn wood veneers; Bazzill Basics cardstock; tag: misc. Tool: Silhouette Cameo.

Not Everyday!

For today I have a layout for you without a photo! That's a first for me! Last month my husband had his birthday and I decided to buy tickets for the cinema, for the film "Nighttrain to Lisbon". I can't remember the last time we went anywhere -just the two of us - so it was really something special. And it was! special, I mean. The film was perfect and we had such a great time together.

So when I saw the cinema ticket lying on my desk I knew what to scrap! I used the Dear Lizzy "5th and Frolic" collection from American Crafts (LOVE!!!) and lots of bits and pieces of Elle's Studio. I also decided to use her Thursday sketch, but I don't know if you still recognize it:
