You make me happy when skies are grey - Imaginisce

Happy Ascension Day everyone!!! Are you having the day off too? I have! And as it's grey and rainy here in The Netherlands I'm spending my day scrapping!

Here's a "just because" layout using Imaginisce's "My Baby" - baby boy collection. The photo is my youngest a couple of years ago (realize now I've forgotten to include the date!).

I've been playing with my Gelatos for the background. Love this messy look! (though not for all my pages, mind you!).

The title was created using my Silhouette Cameo and some Thickers.

And I've also used the stamp from this collection:

Supplies: Imaginisce "My Baby" - Baby Boy: patterned paper, die-cut tags, dimensional sticker, stamp. American Crafts: cardstock, Thickers. Xenos: wood veneer stars. Doodlebug: Spinkles. Gelatos. K&Company pen.

And you? Have you been crafting too? Would love to see it if you did!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Having tea with my friend Mieke - Imaginisce

It's sketch week at Imaginisce! The team has been working with a sketch Christine Meyer has created for us. I've used the "Welcome Spring" collection to create my "English Tea" layout:

The photos were taken when I had a real “English High Tea” with a friend of mine. This counts definitely as one of my favorite “activities”, I LOVE English Teas!!
The title was done with my Silhouette Cameo and a black sketch pen.

I just love all the coffee cutting files I found in the Silhouette online store!

Supplies used: Imaginisce: 12x12 paper pad, die-cuts, buttons (Welcome Spring), American Crafts: cardstock, glue runner, Studio Calico: wood veneer.

And this is the sketch Christine created:

I love us - Ruby Rock-It

Hi everyone, I'm so happy to be able to share this project I created for Ruby Rock-It's "Beyond The Page Saturday" using their Oriental Chic collection.

A little while ago I bought this beautiful photo frame thinking that one day it might be just what I would need and how true that was!

I just love all the different shades and patterns of "blue" this collection contains!
I also added one of two items from the "Heritage" collection, like the wood veneer and the feather and bird die-cuts.

The title I made myself using my Silhouette Cameo. I sprayed the white cardstock with some gold mist and added some glitter stickles.

Except for this beautiful collection, Ruby Rock-It also sent me some very beautiful Nestabilities from Spellbinders (Majestic Elements) which I used to create the circles in the middle. I cut different sized shapes and layered them all on top of each other. I really love the result!

Last but not least, my Ruby Rock-It supply list

Oriental Chic - patterned paper Resplendent
Oriental Chic - patterned paper - Sakura
Oriental Chic - patterned paper - Zen Garden
Oriental Chic - Floral
Oriental Chic - Cardstock Stickers
Heritage - Wood Veneer
Herritage - Die-cut Pack
Bella! Florals (blue)

This is it for me for today. What do you think? Isn't this collection beautiful?!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

Scrapbook Magazine UK & Bella Blvd

I've been designing layouts for Scrapbook Magazine UK for some time now and today issue #81 arrived at my home. For this issue Lindsey asked me to write an article called "Plastic Fantastic" (use plastic cd sleeves on my pages) and create 3 layouts to accompany the article, which I thought was a very cool assignment! So I grabbed a few cd sleeves and my Bella Blvd stash and got started ... and here's the result:

I really love love love Bella Blvd!!!

I made another page which you can find on Papercraft Magazine's Facebook page: HERE and HERE.

My challenge at Amanda Robinson Studio is up!!

Hi everyone! Today the new monthly challenge at Amanda Robinson Studio is up and because I was the one thinking it up, I would really LOVE if you'd join in!

I don’t know about you, but I really love using those large “hand written” titles on my layouts! And that’s what I did on my page, “Valentine.”

I used Amanda’s Valentine Freebie which I cut from a scrap of red cardstock and adhered with my Tiny Attacher from Tim Holtz.

I really love how this turned out! A few more close-ups:

I used the Pebbles collection "Yours Truly" for this layout (love it!!).

So my challenge for you today is to find a cutting file in Amanda’s shop which you then use as the title for your layout.  One lucky participant will win a $10.00 gift certificate to Amanda’s shop!! So don’t forget to return to correct blog post on Amanda Robinson Studio's blog to link your project in the comments! Can't wait to see what you'll create!!

What I almost forget to mention is that I used one of Kristine's Creative Scrappers Birthday Bash sketches!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Wishing you happy scrapping!

In the M&M Store! - Pretty Little Studio

Another layout I created for Pretty Little Studio is this one using their bold colored "Birthday Cake" collection! I just love the bright colors of this collection and love using this “birthday” collection for “non-birthday” photos of my kids!

In this case I’ve used the collection for a photo I took when we visited the M&M store in New York. The Birthday Cake papers and die-cuts were just perfect for the red color of the M&M person! Both the circle background and the title were created with the Silhouette Cameo.

Don't you think the Pretty Little Studio die-cuts are super super super cute?!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!

Today only happens once - Imaginisce

Imaginisce has dedicated the entire last week to celebrate those who are graduating and so today I've got a Dutch “graduation” layout which I'd like to share.

As my kids aren’t old enough to have graduated from High School yet and also because here in The Netherlands “graduation” is not celebrated like it’s being done in the USA, I don’t have any photos of a real, genuine, American graduation. But what I do have are these photos of my oldest son celebrating the end of primary school and receiving his leaving certificate. The evening was awesome and these photos have been on my desk for ages (it’s been 3 years now, since he left)

I’m so glad I finally found the right papers for these photos, even though I’ve used the “Perfect Vacation” collection!!

I’ve said it before, but I really love that the current collections from Imaginisce contain so many sheets with a “neutral” design. You can use them for any and every occasion!!

Supplies:
Imaginisce: 12x12 paper pad, die-cuts (Perfect Vacation), American Crafts: cardstock, flair button, glue runner, Studio Calico: wood veneer.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're enjoying your weekend as much as I do!! It's warm and sunny here, yay!!!!

The Story of - Ruby Rock-It

Yay! It's Friday!! For me the weekend starts on Friday, as that's one of my days off!! This will be a very busy weekend though, as we've got 2 birthdays to celebrate: my husband's and my eldest son's! Looking forward to that!

Today I've got a Ruby Rock-It layout I want to share with you. I've used the wonderful Heritage collection to scrap this photo of my mom, taken at the roller-skating ring in The Hague in the sixties.

When my mother was in her teens she spent most of her time on this roller-skating ring where she also met my father. Because this place was so important to my mum I decided I had to scrap one of her photos from there and the Ruby Rock-It Heritage collection was just perfect for this!

Don't you just love the wood veneer silhouette? I've sprayed it with some gold mist and really like the result.

And those die-cuts of the feather and the banners are just fabulous too!

Here's a list of Ruby Rock-It Bella! Fundamentals products I used:
Heritage paper collection
Heritage Die-Cut Pack
Heritage Wood Veneer
Heritage Cardstock Stickers

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today and I hope I've given you a little bit of inspiration to scrap those old photos you've got lying around!

Sweet Summer Days

Today I'd like to share another layout made with one of the new May cutting files from Amanda Robinson Studio. This cutting file is called "Rain or Shine Stencils" and can be found in the store. As 2 of my projects for Amanda involved rain cutting files, I decided to focus on the "shine" cutting file. I've used both the positive and the negative pieces of the sunshine stencil.

I've used the fabulous American Crafts' Mayberry collection for this page.

Thanks for stopping by once again!! xoxo

Have a fab day!

Let's talk Minecraft!

Last Christmas I got a big box full of Gelatos in the most amazing colors, but until now I've almost never used it. So when I saw the Thursday challenge at Elle's Studio I decided I had to give it a go! (if you see the challenge, you'll understand why!).

I used the "Everyday Moments" collection from Elle's Studio and an older kit + add-on from the Scraptastic Kit Club (Classy Girls, August 2013) which I loved but (also) had barely touched (so much to do, so little time!) and here's what I made:

Very messy for me, but I loved giving this technique a try!

My boys (14 and 9) LOVE the online game Minecraft. So when we were away for a couple of days, they would look forward to the afternoon coffee in the hotel lobby where there was free wifi!

And because I made this page with the Scraptastic Club kit, I thought I'd link this up to their May 1st challenge as well (use a telephone on your page). As the boys are playing on their iPhone and iPod the cardstock sticker of the telephone was a perfect finishing touch!

So this is it for today, thanks for visiting my blog and hope you'll have a great day!
Hugs,
