He said - Creative Scrappers Reveal Sketch #272

It's time for the reveal of the brand new Creative Scrappers sketch #272! Today's sketch is a "no photo" sketch and I have to admit it took me days to find inspiration for this one. But as soon as I had an idea I couldn't stop!

A year or so ago my youngest's favorite pastime was writing little poems. As he was only 8 years old, most texts were hilarious. So for today's layout I chose one of these little poems.

and for those of you who can read Dutch, no I don't have a "golden tooth", lol!

Supplies: paper, chipboard, stickers, enamel shapes: My Mind's Eye; cardstock: Bazzill Basics; cork butterflies: American Crafts; alpha letter and word stickers: Jillibean Soup; paperclip: Maya Road; Pen: K&Company; washi tape: Marianne Design. Tools: Silhouette Cameo, sewing machine and stapler.

And here's sketch #272:

You can play along with Sketch 272 for the chance to win from our Sponsor, Paper Camellia.  Link up on the Creative Scrappers Blog for Sketch 272 by the deadline, July 31st.

To see what the other designers created, please hop over to the blog of Creative Scrappers! It's worth it!!!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Delighted - October Afternoon & Scrapbook Magazine UK

For the November 2013 issue of Scrapbook Magazine UK (#77) I was asked to create a layout with the theme 'to my delight'. And here's what I created:

It has become a kind of tradition that on their birthdays the kids get a birthday cake with a photo or image of their favourite character. So, when my son turned 7 we had an “Angry Bird” cake made for him and he was delighted with it!! The only disadvantage was that he didn’t want anyone to cut and eat that part of the cake!

I’ve used October Afternoon’s “Cakewalk” collection for my layout which I find so super fun and just perfect for this photo.

Supplies used: patterned paper, Micellany: October Afternoon (Cakewalk); cardstock: Bazzill Basics; alpha stickers: American Crafts Thickers; twine: The Twinery; text tape: Dymo; staples: Tim Holtz; 3D foam squares: Scrapbook Adhesives. Tools: die cutting machine: Silhouette Cameo; sewing machine: Aigger; stapler: Tiny Attacher Tim Holtz; Dymo tool; Xyron Mega Runner.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you're enjoying your weekend!!

I'm on Creating Keepsakes' blog!! - Ruby Rock-It

This month I had such an exciting opportunity!! Since Ruby Rock-It sponsors CKC events throughout the year, they have the opportunity to spotlight their products and designers and this month Erin (our dt coordinatior at Ruby Rock-It) asked me to create another layout and vellum tutorial (I did one in April for them, you can find it here). Of course I happily obliged!

Here's the link to my layout and tutorial on the Creating Keepsakes blog and here to the Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking blog. Who would have thought that one day my work would be shown on the blog of Creating Keepsakes?!!!!!

Call me! - Pretty Little Studio

Hi everyone! For Pretty Little Studio I created a layout using the "Baby Claire" collection and my Gelatos. The photo was taken last February, when my daughter and her friends were about to leave for Austria to do some skiing (they're sitting in the bus). And because I knew I would miss her like crazy, but that she would definitely NOT miss me, I yelled to her to "call me", just as they were about to leave (I think she must have heard me, as she did call once or twice that week, lol).

I love playing with my Gelatos lately and I thought the white "call me" card could use a bit of pink. So here's what I did: I grabbed my craft sheet, my box with Gelatos, chose a nice pink color and drew some lines straight on the craft sheet like this:

Next I misted the pink Gelatos lines a bit:

With a brush I spread the water a little and placed my white "call me" card upside on the sheet and pushed gently:

And this is the result:

Fun right?

And here're a few close-ups of my layout:

How I love to play with this baby collection! It's more than perfect for my 17 year old baby!! LOL!

For more Pretty Little Studio inspiration please visit their blog!

Thank you so much for stopping my blog again today! Hope I've inspired you to do some scrapping! Have a nice day!

Two Pretty Little Studio summer layouts

I noticed I completely forgot to post these two Pretty Little Studio layouts on my blog, but because I did post them on fb and in online galleries, it's very possible you've already seen them.

First one of Tim using PLS' Sand Castle collection:

And then this fun page with a photo of Manon's and my legs and feet: for this page I used a mix of PLS's "Birthday Cake", "Sand Castle" and "April Showers" collections, some PLS confetti (Starry Night mix) and my Gelatos of course. (The background sheet is from American Crafts.)

and a few detail photos:

Don't you just love the flairs?!!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you'll have a great weekend!

Birthday layout - Imaginisce

Today my birthday layout wraps up Imaginisce's "birthday week" on their blog. Here's what I did:

My eldest son turned 15 last May and that called for a scrapbook layout of course!! The papers from Imaginisce's “Perfect Vacation” collection were just “perfect” and using some number & banner dies and my Sizzix Big Shot I was done in a shot!

Supplies: Imaginisce: 12x12 paper pad, die-cuts (Perfect Vacation); Bazzill Basics: cardstock; American Crafts: Thickers, glue runner; Studio Calico: Mister Huey’s color mist.

Thanks for visiting my blog and wishing you a fantastic weekend!!
