Sweet Memories | Scraptastic & Stuck?! Sketches

Hi friends! I'm having a few days off work because of the school Spring vacation and except a visit to the cinema with my youngest, his bff and our niece, I also had some time to scrap! I decided to use my February Sunday Morning kit from Scraptastic Club and another one of Laura Whitaker's sketches. So here's what I did:

The photo shows my hubby and our youngest, who are very similar in many ways.

For my page I used the Sunday Morning main kit, the Sunday Morning add-on and the Gale Song stamp set and even the green dotted packaging from the embellishments. The chipboard stickers are from Crate's Hello Love collection and the cardstock stickers are from WeR. The wood veneer heart is a Scraptastic exclusive.

The flair button and the key die-cut are both Scraptastic exclusives.

And here's the sketch from Stuck?! Sketches I used:

Thanks for stopping by, hope you liked my page!

Go.See.Do | Pretty Little Studio

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a Pretty Little Studio layout using the fun “Let’s Go” collection. This photo of my hubby was waiting to be scrapped for quite some time now and I decided the Let’s Go collection was just perfect for it! The photo was taken in the week I got my new bike, August last year. Although the wind was blowing hard, we decided to go cycling for a few hours and man, was I tired by the time we got home. My hubby though, said he hadn’t even noticed the wind … lol.

For my pages I love using the clear and vellum sheets as well and there are so many of them in the shop…. it’s so hard to choose!! But aren’t they awesome?!! Below you see them both in detail. I love stitching through my vellum:

And I’m a huge fan of the frames! I love placing them partly under cards or under papers, so only part of them peek out:

And although I used a journaling card, I like to do my writing somewhere in the middle of my layouts:

Adding a bit of stitching and a few drops of color shine and my page finished!

PLS Products Used: Let’s Go Collection: paper: Athens, Seattle; Clear: Amsterdam; Vellum: Snapshot yellow; Journaling Cards: Pittsburgh; Shipping Tags: Salt Lake clear; Flair: Fresno; Stars: Spain; Tickets: Define.Travel; Cut-Outs: mini words Columbia; Frames: France; Stickers: Vellum Tape Let’s Go.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog to take a peek at my project!

Have a great day!

St. Patrick's Day in Planner | Doodlebug

A quick share of my Doodlebug Pot O' Gold collection planner pages. Although we don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day that doesn't mean I can't decorate the week with St. Patrick's Day in it, right?

I soooo adore those fun stickers!!

The horizontal stripes are stickers are from the sheet of "Fancy Frills" stickers and the rainbow sticker I just cut in half and adhered it on both pages:

And last but not least, I used some washi tape and a large paperclip to create some kind of bookmark:

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Doodlebug Pot O' Gold | LaLaLove You

Hi everyone! Last week my Pot O' Gold layout was up on Doodlebug's blog and today I thought I'd share it here as well.

As we don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day in The Netherlands I dug through my pile of photos and found this one of my youngest climbing on a huge frog. I decided straight away that it was just perfect for this collection!

I started my layout by cutting lots of papers from the Pot O' Gold 6x6 paper pad in triangles; large ones and smaller ones. First I adhered the largest triangles, followed by a size smaller and the smallest came last:

Next I embellished my page with stickers, washi tape and shamrock shape sprinkles:

The stitching, drops of color mist, stamp and journaling came last:

I'm a huge fan of (large) cut files and especially those from The Cut Shoppe, so I needed one of those too:

Imaginisce Gift Boxes

Hi everyone! When we, Imaginisce's design team, were asked to create something with the theme "random acts of kindness" I knew straight away what I wanted to do. I always love creating little gift boxes, but often can't find the time to make them when I need them. So the choice was easy! As I didn't know yet whether the gift box would be for a girl or boy I created two:

The Par-r-rty Me Hearty collection is perfect to create something for either a girl or a boy as this collection consists of both mermaid and pirate themed papers and embellishments!

For the boys gift box I chose the "Walk The Plank" paper and used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a pillow box. Next I added a journaling card die-cut, adhered a pirate die-cut on top and added two puffy diamonds and a sentiment. Last but not least I decorated the box with a few glam rocks using Imaginisce's I-Rock tool.

The girls gift box was made in a similar way. I cut a box from the "Seas The Day" paper using my Silhouette Cameo. I added a cardstock flourish (also cut with my Cameo), a large die-cut and adhered a sentiment on top. Next came the puffy sticker and some glams, for which I used the I-Rock tool again.

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned paper, die-cuts, puffy stickers (Par-r-rty Me Hearty), glam rocks. Tools: I-Rock tool. Other: Silhouette Cameo, Silhouette cut files #59445 (pillow box), #68245 (leaf flourish).

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

XO | Scraptastic Club Sunday Morning Kit

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!! And? Did someone spoil you?? I got a card and flowers and those made my day as my hubby is very against all those "commercial" days....

Now on to the project I wanted to share. Last Friday the Scraptastic Club February "Sunday Morning" kits arrived and I couldn't help myself, I just had to start scrapping straight away! I used both the  main kit, add-on and digital cut file.

So here's what I made. The photo was taken when we were on vacation in France the year before last. I adore those old French doors and am always taking pictures of them, in this case with my youngest in front.

When I started this layout the Scraptastic "Heart Strings" paper was the first paper I chose. I love it so much and had a hard time deciding whether or not to use it in the way I did, as that meant I wouldn't be able to use the back at all, which was the beautiful light grey paper with the small hearts! In the end I decided to go for it and have to say, I don't have any regrets at all, lol!

Okay, after choosing the light blue "Heart Strings" paper I cut a thin strip from two sides and adhered it on top of a sheet of white cardstock. Next I used my Silhouette Cameo and cut the Sunday Morning digital cut file for the background (size 11" x 11") and adhered 2.5" circles behind all the hearts which I punched from Maggie Holmes' Bloom collection "Moments" paper. I adhered this on top of the light blue paper.

Next came the photo which I matted on a piece of Crate Paper's Little You collection "Loved" paper and on a glassine bag which was used to hold some of the embellishments in the kit. Next I cut the black chalkboard label in half and tucked one under the top of the photo and one at the bottom. I adhered this to my page and started decorating.

I used some of Crate Paper's "Hello Love" chipboard stickers, one of Heidi Swapp's fabric bows and one of Scraptastic exclusive wood veneer hearts to decorate the top of the photo.

And for the bottom of the photo I chose again some of the fabulous chipboard stickers from Crate, a sticker from WeR and the "XO" Thickers . Last but not least I added stitching, a few drops of Color Shine and a date stamp and I was done!

Scraptastic Layouts - January Just A Girl kit

Hi everyone, today I thought I'd share two more of the layouts I created with Scraptastic Club's January "Just A Girl" kit.

This one I created for today's Scraptastic subscriber challenge "use colored cardstock for your background". I worked with both the main kit as well as the add-on:

This was a real challenge as I prefer bright, bold, happy colors and normally grey wouldn’t be my first choice, but as I wanted to step out of my comfort zone grey it would be! I love how colorful the end result still is.

I adore the panda!!!

And for the second layout I used the January “Just A Girl” main kit only. I chose this photo of my daughter and I: a just girls photo, which I considered just perfect looking at the name of this kit!

The photo was taken last November, when we both had our birthdays (well, I had mine the day before hers, but we celebrated together).

I started my page by cutting one of the Scraptastic exclusive papers by Kaitlin Sheaffer in half and using the pink/white dotted half only. I adhered this on a sheet of white cardstock. Next I cut 4 strips from the Fancy Pants “My Happy” paper and used these as border and adhered (stitched) them on all sides of my layout. I matted my photos on some light blue pieces of paper and embellished the page with bits and pieces from the kit. I used for example this acetate word by Heidi Swapp, which I LOVE!!

And this flair button … one of my favorite embellishments in this kit!

The title came next, for which I used the Hardcover Black Thickers from American Crafts and one of stamps from the Just A Girl stamp set.

And last but not least came the hand written journaling:

Hope you liked my pages and that I was able to inspire you a bit! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! Wishing you a wonderful day!

Keep Calm And Study On | Bella Blvd

Last Friday I was at a crop with friends and had a lot of fun creating with this fun Bella Blvd collection "Star Student". My daughter printed off a whole lot of photos from her High School year and so I could take my pick! I love this one of her with 2 of the other foreign exchange students:

The colors and patterns of this collection are perfect for almost all of Manon's photos! Love how the paper with the glasses are such a great match for the glasses of Manon's Italian friend.

Loving large cut files!!

Thanks for stopping by on this grey Sunday! Wishing you a fun week!

Doodlebug Sweet Things Projects | Wood Veneer Heart and Planner Pages

Hi everyone! Yesterday my Doodlebug "Sweet Things" projects were posted on Doodlebug's blog and I thought I'd share them here too. If you know me a little bit, you'll know that my favorite color is red and my favorite color combination is red with pink (with sometimes a bit of orange and yellow). And that's one of the reasons why I adore this collection so much! The colors are awesome and I can see myself using this collection over and over again.

Here's the first project I created: I dressed up this wood veneer heart which I had in my stash waiting for the right collection to come along .... ! The photos were taken in June last year, when we hosted a "welcome home" party for my daughter, who had been away in The States for almost a year. We set up this little photo booth and everyone at the party had to have their photo taken. We had so much fun!

I used lots of different patterned papers, (alphabet) stickers, die-cuts & enamel dots. I love that the sprinkles (dots) are "matte"!

But the shiny heart shaped sprinkles are just perfect too! I also love that jar-with-hearts sticker and had to include it on my project somewhere.

And because at the time I kept thinking I'm never going to let her leave again, especially for such a long stretch of time, I chose the "we belong together" sticker.

And then my second project: a week in my planner! Have you been bitten by the planner bug too? For me it took a while but now I love working on my planner. I just have to be careful not to cover the entire pages, but to leave some space to write notes!

Here's my spread for the Valentine's week: February 8 - 14:

I used papers, stickers, die-cuts, alphabet stickers, washi tapes, a mini paperclip, a mini clothpin, I just couldn't choose and decided to use the lot!

The little squares are cut from the "Tiny Valentines" sheet (6x6 paper pad) and are the perfect size for a planner.

For the word "Valentines" I used the Skinny alphabet stickers and for the word "day" I used some Tiny Type alphabet stickers.

The "Happy Hearts", "Delightful Dots" and "Lovely Lines" washi tapes in the Sweet Things collection are just what any planner needs!

Thank you so much for stopping by our blog and I hope I've been able to inspire you a bit!
