Merry + Bright | Tinsel Town - Pretty Little Studio

Hi friends! Welcome to my blog on this last day of 2016!! Is everyone preparing for tonight’s festivities? Or are some of you taking time to scrap a few of this year’s Christmas photos? If you do then here’s a Christmas layout I did for Pretty Little Studio using Ashley Horton’s amazing “Tinsel Town” collection.

How I adore the colors and designs in this collection! Definitely one of my favorite PLS collections this year!! To cut the Christmas trees I used one of the cut files from The Cut Shoppe “Tree Farm” (also designed by Ashley Horton) and cut all four trees from four different papers:

This it the cut file I used: Tree Farm

Aren’t the die-cuts, stickers and gold foil products in this collection awesome?!

Here you can still see part of the gold metallic vellum I used to mat my photo. I love those gold metallic sheets, whether they are clear or vellum or paper … I adore them all!

Here I used my tiny attacher to adhere some of the “cut-aparts” words:

Last but not least I added lots of machine stitching and a few drops of gold foil spray mist and I was done!

And here’s a list of all the PLS products I used:

  • Tinsel Town collection: paper: Tinsel Town 8×8 Paper Pack, Cookies & Milk, Evergreen, Holly Jolly, Trim The Tree, Blue Christmas; Die-Cuts: Tinsel Town, Cheer Words, Twinkle,  ; Flair: Wish List; Stickers: Nice List Words, Tree Topper, Twinkle Clear; Vellum: Metallic Tinsel Town Gold; Cut-Aparts: Mini Snowflake;

Thank you so much for stopping by on this special day of the year! Wishing you an awesome & creative 2017!!

Pebbles Christmas Gift Boxes

If you're here for the Top Ten of 2016 blog hop & giveaway, please scroll down a bit!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing a little last minute Christmas DIY project I created for Pebbles with you! How are enjoying December so far? I love every minute of it, but sometimes I wish it would be a little less hectic. It doesn’t matter how many lists I make, I always end up with last minute things, like buying just a few more presents or wrapping those last gifts. This year was no exception! Here’re a couple of bright and colorful gift boxes I created using Pebbles’ fabulous Holly Jolly collection and the Pillow Box Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers.

So here’s what you do, gather your supplies: patterned papers for the boxes and something to decorate your boxes like die-cuts, tags, twine, stickers & ribbon. To create the boxes in the photo you have to cut your papers in the following sizes: 4″x 6″, 6″x 6″, 8″x 6″and 10″x 6″:

Following the instructions on the punch board the four papers look like this in no time at all:

Fold the papers and use double sided tape to glue the long/straight side of the box closed:

And now comes the fun part: decorating the boxes!

I totally adore the cute die-cuts in this collection: the elf, santa, the deer, the gingerbread cookie … I just love them all!

And I think it’s fabulous that a whole packet with tags and banners is included in this collection! They are just perfect for those gift boxes!

This is it! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Wishing you a wonderful Christmas!

All Of Me Loves All Of You - Doodlebug

Here's my very last project for Doodlebug while being on their design team for this year. For the "meme/quote" challenge I created this layout of my hubby and me. This was such a fun (and time consuming!) challenge! I spent hours on Pinterest going from one meme and/or quote to the next, before settling on one that was literally right in front of me:

source: Pinterest

Do you recognise it? Apart from the song that is ... I mean from one of Doodlebug's collections?? It's from the "Sweet Things" collection and once I realized that, I knew what I was going to do: a layout of my hubby and me! The photos are from 4 months ago, taken by my daughter when we were in Greece.

Of course I started my project with the paper with the quote on it "Baby Bouquet" and cut off the strip of white paper on both the right and left side and adhered it on the right side of my page. Next I selected two other patterned papers: "Sweetheart Scallop" and "Honey Bees" and adhered a strip of both on the left side of my layout. Next I matted my two 8 cm x 8 cm photos and adhered those. All the other embellishments came next, like these flowers from the "Valentine Flowers Craft Kit", the berries sticker from the sheet of "Icons Stickers" and the grey border sticker from the "Fancy Frills" sticker sheet. The arrow with the xoxox was cut from the sheet of paper called "Sweet Nothings".

The elephants also came from the Icons Sticker sheet. The heart sticker came from the "This & That" sticker sheet.

How I love the globe sticker (again from the Icons sticker sheet) and the enamel heart (Shape Sprinkles):

And here's my favorite quote again especially as it's so true!

This is it! Hope you like it! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! Wishing you a wonderful day!

Like For Ever December "Cosy Toes" Projects

Hello friends! Today my last December projects made with the like for ever Cosy Toes kit are up on "like for ever's" blog and I thought I'd share my December projects here as well.

When you subscribe to the kits you get access to the digital cut files as well and for this layout I used the tree background cut file. From every sheet in the kit I cut a little piece to adhere behind the cut tree as I really wanted to create a colorful, festive layout but I found this sooo difficult! To cut a little piece from every single (untouched) sheet! But I really like the result and am glad I did it.

This is the cut file I used:

And here are a few close-ups:

The next project was the sketch challenge for which I created this page:

And this is the sketch we used, which I changed to a 12"x 12":

Here are a few close-ups: half of the wood veneer word I covered in embossing powder which I then melted to get this result:

I love the image of the deer and decided that just had to be included!

Love all the silver accents in this kit!

And today my last projects for December are up on the lfe blog. First this layout for which I used the exclusive like for ever December snowflake cut file:

and the close-ups:

And because I had so much left of the kit I created a few Christmas cards as I still need lots of them! I love those mason jars from Crate Paper and decided they had to feature on two cards at least:

Here're the cards one by one:

And this is it for today! If you want to learn more about the "like for ever" kit club then hop over to their website! The Cosy Toes kit is sold out, but the January Woodland kit is just awesome as well!!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope I have been able to inspire you a bit!
