Hi friends! Today I'm sharing a fun summer layout created for JustNick.
Last May my family and I spent a few days in Spain and one of the activities we undertook was walk (climb) to the cross on top of the "Sierra Helada" that towers over Benidorm. For me, this was anything but easy, untrained as I am, but I did it! (The kids and my hubby seem to do the climb with much less effort!) Of course my daughter took a "selfie" and so I could do a layout about this! Here's what I made:
For this page I used the "Around The World" cut files:
I cut out the globe in almost 12"x 12" size and used that for my background and built the rest of the page on top of it.
I used Doodlebug Design's "Sweet Summer" collection which I found just perfect for these travel cut files and my holiday photo.
Here a few close-ups of the other cut files I used from the "Around the World" bundle: first the tag with the word "vacation" cut out:
Next the "Right Here" cut file:
And last but not least, the Geo Tags:
I really love this set of cut files! They are so perfect to use for lots more of my travel photos!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog to take a peek at my layout.
xoxo

Wet Wet Wet - My Creative Scrapbook July Step-By-Step
Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing the July step-by-step tutorial created for My Creative Scrapbook using the July Main Kit with all the lovely Echo Park "Good Day Sunshine" goodies!
Here's my layout and I thought I'd show you how I made it. Don't you just love those happy colors & patterns?!
I started with the fun July cut files and decided to go with the umbrella cut file in the top right corner:
The three left-over pieces from the umbrella cut file served as a template to hand cut around:
Love the result:
As I found the white cardstock a bit too white to serve as a background for my layout I sprayed some yellow and blue mist on my cardstock:
I started building my layout by creating a border on the left side, adding a few lines of typed journaling as well:
The umbrella came next:
After matting the photo I decided it should go at the bottom of the umbrella. I chose a few stickers and chipboards and punched two flowers to add to the photo. On top of the umbrella I adhered two chipboards as well:
I love the Dear Lizzy alphabet stamp set that is included in this kit and used it to stamp the title on my page:
And for the finishing touch I used the sewing machine:
Really loving how this turned out.
Here are a few close-ups of my page:
This is it! Hope you like it!
Here's the photo of the July Main Kit. If you wish to read more about it or how you can secure one for yourself then please visit the MCS website.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy scrapping!

Using my Silhouette Cameo I cut the umbrella from the b-side of the Echo Park paper "Little Red Wagon":

This is ME - JustNick Studio
Hi everyone! Last Tuesday my first layout for JustNick Studio was up on their blog and I thought I'd post it here as well.
On top of every tulip I also attached an enamel dot and a few (word) stickers or diecuts,
I used my sewing machine to add a bit of fun stitching to all the stalks of the flowers.
For my first layout I found a totally adorable cut file of a field full of tulips! What can be more appropriate than a field of tulips for a Dutchie?! So that's the cut file I went with and here's what I created:
I totally adore this cut file. I love that I can back all the flowers with lots of different pieces of patterned paper and make them super colorful! For my page I "stretched" the cut file just a little so the flowers are a bit "longer" and now cover my 12"x 12" background more. The cut file originally looks like this:
Using my Silhouette Cameo I cut the tulips cut file from a multi-colored sheet of patterned paper and then backed it with even more patterned papers, using the "Summer Vibes" collection from Simple Stories. Here are a few close-ups:

I used my sewing machine to add a bit of fun stitching to all the stalks of the flowers.
I don't know if you can see it but in the photo I'm standing in a field of tulips!
This is it, my first DT layout for JustNick. Hope you like it!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. Wishing you happy crafting!
