Hello friends, today I'm sharing another layout created with the February Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. Love this kit, filled with Pebbles "Loves Me" products.

The photos were taken one Friday when my daughter and I both had the day off and went shopping in Amsterdam.

Together Forever | JustNick Studio

Hey friends! I haven't shared the layout I created for JustNick earlier this month and thought I'd show it to you today. I love all the Valentine's scrapbook collections and can't resist buying them. So for this blogpost I thought I would use one of them. For this layout I used Doodlebug's "French Kiss" collection, combined with the beautiful cut file from the JustNick store "Free Love".

And this is the cut file I used: Free Love

Isn't this cut file just perfect?! I love these open letters, where you can add your own patterned papers behind them! I used the 6"x 6" paper pad as I think the smaller patterns look better in a word of this size. Here are a few close-ups:

To color the white background I used both a brush with stamping ink and some spray mist. I'm trying to do something else than using pure white cardstock backgrounds. I think I like it, it's a bit more colorful.

So, if you're looking for more "love" cut files to create your own Valentine's scrapbook page, then make sure to check out the JustNick store! There are so many beautiful cut files you can use!

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look! Wishing you a wonderful Valentine's Day with your loved one(s)!

Heart Books | Step-by-step My Creative Scrapbook

Hello friends! Today I'm a step-by-step I made for one of the layouts I created with the very awesome February Main kit from My Creative Scrapbook. This kit is features mainly the Pink Paislee/Paige Evans "Whimsical" collection.

Here's the layout for which I made the step-by-step:

I adored all the sheets of patterned paper in this kit and wanted to use as many as possible on my layout. The different patterns and colors look so good together.

Here's what I did: I selected paper 23, with all the half circles positioned in a circle and cut out the largest whole circle (by hand):

Next I selected a couple of other patterned papers and my 1" circle punch and punched out many (scalloped) circle halves:

Once I had assembled quite a lot, I randomly glued them inside the four circles of paper 23:

When it was finished it looked like this:

Now I selected a background paper and chose the yellow one as this color matched the photo of my daughter:

With my sewing machine I stitched all the circle halves securely in place:

And now I was ready to add my photos and embellishments. I chose two small Instax photos for this layout and of course lots of flowers, leaves and hearts to embellish.

My daughter and I share a passion for books and because we're both reading in these photos the title is "heart books". I just love the gold alpha Thickers included in this kit!

This is it! Very simple to create, but with a fun result!

I really think this was one of the best kits ever! and if you haven't secured one for yourself, then hop over to the My Creative Scrapbook side and see if they are still available!

We Love Winter | My Creative Scrapbook February Creative Kit

Hi everyone! This month I received both the Main kit and the Creative kit from Pam at My Creative Scrapbook and today I'm sharing a layout I created with the Creative Kit!

The Creative Kit consists of so many Pebbles goodies, mainly from the "Loves Me" collection. Such an awesome kit! Here's the first layout I created with it:

Although this is really a Valentine's collection it's easily used for other photos as well. I used these winter photos of my 3 kids and love the result.

As I didn't want an whole white background I brused a little stamping ink on it using a Nuvo blender brush from Tonic Studio. The red ink pad was included in the kit.

February Creative Kit:

Showing you more layouts created with the Creative kit later this week! If you can't wait to see the kits and what the design team created with it, please visit the DT gallery. You can also find more layouts on my Instagram account

Snow Much Fun | JustNick & Doodlebug Design

Hi friends! Yesterday it was my turn on the blog of JustNick and today I'm sharing the layout I created here, on my own blog. As winter has finally arrived here in The Netherlands, including a little snow (yay!), I'm in the mood to scrap some winter photos! These photos were taken ten years ago (how time flies!) and I stil love looking at them!

I used the cut files "Hey Frosty" and "Joy" from the JustNick store to scrap this page:

These are the cut files I used:

Before I got started on my layout I chose all the "non Christmas" papers from the Doodlebug collection "Christmas Town" and selected four papers to cut four snowmen from.

Next I cut the word "Joy" from a piece of white cardstock and used glimmermist to spray it in a beautiful green color.

I used the snowmen for the background and placed these strategically on a white cardstock background paper: two on the left side and two on the right. Next I matted the two photos and placed these on top of the snowmen with the title (sort of) in between. The next part was simple, I just added lots of Doodlebug embellishments, hand journaling and a date stamp! When I was finished I decided to add a bit more color by cutting 1 cm off the entire layout (on all four sides) and placing it on a colorful dotted patterned paper. I really loved the result! After adding my usual bit of machine stitching and a few drops of paint I was done!

Thank you so much for stopping by today to have a look at my page. If you want to check out this cut file or any other "winter" cut file in the store, just click HERE.

Wishing you a wonderful day and happy scrapping!
