Oh What Fun! - My Mind's Eye "Holly Jolly" | My Creative Scrapbook

Hello friends, I hope you've had a wonderful Christmas! We had a great time, with lots of family time and even some "me" time as well (to scrap, read and watch Christmas movies on Netflix). Love this time of year! So for today I've got another Christmas layout as well as a few Christmas cards to share. I used the December Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook for these projects, featuring the "Holly Jolly" collection from My Mind's Eye.

The photos were taken during a December Daily workshop at "Scrapwereld" last year. We had so much fun! (sadly I haven't finished the album just yet)
Here are a few close-ups:

I used one of the free MCS exclusive digital cut files "Starry Skies".

And next up are the Xmas cards I made:

and separately:

Merry & Bright - My Creative Scrapbook step-by-step

Hi everyone! I've got a layout to share which I created for My Creative Scrapbook using the December Main Kit featuring the Country Christmas collection from Simple Stories. The first thing I always look for in a kit are the die-cuts! Die-cuts are my favorite items in a collection and so I was very happy when I found lots of them in this month's kit!! To make the best use of the them I decided to create a large Christmas tree solely with die-cuts. I did however need a background for my tree and because the kit also contained a super cute text stamp from Prima I used that for my background!

Let me quickly show you what I made and how I did this. Here's my layout with the die-cut tree:

And here's how I created this:

I started with assembling everything I thought I would need:

Just look at all the die-cuts and some chipboards as well:

Using the text stamp from the kit I stamped the shape of a tree on the white carstock background,:

On top I painted with colored Gelato and also added a few drops of Color Shine from my stash:

Now I was ready to start adding the die-cuts:

Starting at the bottom with the larger pieces I worked my way up:

The chipboards in the kit were so beautiful as well, so I needed a few of those in the tree as well, like the angel and the "Merry & Bright" piece:

Next came the photo on the left side of the tree:

With two rows of machine stitching my layout was done! Hope you like it! Here are a few more close-ups:

December Daily Day 1 - 2 | Pretty Little Studio

Hello friends! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Here in the Netherlands we are enjoying our 2nd Christmas Day and we listening to the anual "Top 2000". A music programme we look forward to the entire year!

Today I'm sharing the first few pages of my December Daily 2019 (maybe you already saw them when I shared them on the blog of Pretty Little Studio). Every year I enthusiastically start a December Daily and most of the time it takes me at least a year to finish it, but this year I’m determined to finish it in January! When I saw the Glitter & Ice collection by Kim Watson I knew which collection I was going to use! In November I bought Ali Edward’s 3″ x 8″ green linen December Daily album as I really loved the different format. I was so happy when I saw that the Glitter & Ice collection contains journaling cards in just this size!

Let me show you what I created so far:

For the first page I chose the pink “Pretty Baubles” paper and added die-cuts and stickers on top. Take a look at that cute polar bear!

Of course this needed a little machine stiching as well.

Day 1 – Our Elf arrives. This page didn’t need a whole lot more. A date sticker and a word stickers was enough. And the journaling of course.

In the Netherlands where I live, we celebrate “Sinterklaas” on the 5th of December, so we buy our tree after the 5th.

I love the “Hello December” journaling card and that mug with hot chocolate sticker!

This cute photo had enough space at the bottom for a tag with a word flag and sticker.

Then on to the next page. A photo of our dinner on day 1 and another adorable journaling card. Then day 2. Not much happening on this day, but I found some sweets on my pillow (I have such a sweet hubby) and I got to open parcel two of my scrappy advent calendar.

Loving the format of the album!

How adorable is this journaling card?!

The word sticker “no peeking” is perfect for the Advent Calendar photo!

So these are the first few pages of my December Daily. I find starting a project the hardest part, so now that is out of the way, finishing it should be easy! (if only December wasn’t so busy!). And you? Do you do a December Daily? and do you use some Pretty Little Studio products as well?

Here’s a list of what I used: Glitter & Ice collection: 8×8 paper pack; Journaling cards: Merry & Bright, Sparkle Bright; Die-Cuts: Warm Wishes Tags, Tis The Season, Twinkle Lights; Stickers: Oh What Fun, Mini ABC Christmas Shopping; Cut-Aparts: Twas The Night Flags;

Wishing you a wonderful weekend with lots of crafting! Don’t forget to check out the Pretty Little Studio Shop for this amazing collection!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Oh What Fun | My Creative Scrapbook December Creative Kit Reveal

It's time for the December kits at My Creative Scrapbook! Using the December Creative Kit, featuring the My Mind's Eye "Holly Jolly" collection I created amongst others this page about Ginny, my 4 months old English Cocker Spaniel wearing her Rudolf suit:

She is so sweet I can't stop taking photos of her (and scrapping them). I have to remind myself to take some photos of the rest of the family as well, lol! Here are some close-ups:

Ever since I discovered the Nuvo paste I'm kind of addicted to it. I tend to add it to all layouts with white cardstock backgrounds.

I love this month's MCS free digital cut files, like this banner (designed by Ashley Horton).

Here's a photo of the December Creative Kit:

And a photo of the free cut file:

JustNick Studio - 12 Days of Giveaways! | Holly Jolly Christmas!

Hello friends! I'm so happy to kick off the Christmas celebrations at JustNick Studio with the "12 Days of Giveaways"!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas and we have started the celebrations early! For the next 12 days JustNick Studio will be giving away a free cut file every day! Today the free cut file is this Geo Reindeer!

Doesn't he look awesome?! Here's what I created with it:

I started my page by adding some light blue water color paint where I wanted to place the cut reindeer. On top I used a text stamp from Prima Marketing which I stamped several times without re inking so I had both darker and lighter stamped images. Next came a few drops of color mist. The Geo Reindeer was cut from a sheet of Pebbles Inc. wood grain paper and I covered it with silver embellishment mousse from Nuvo. You can't see it very well but the silver is very shiny.

On top of the cut reindeer I adhered some stickers so he doesn't look so huge. Of course his antlers needed a bit of Christmas decoration as well.

For my page I used Carta Bella's "Santa's Workshop" collection which is from last year, but as I loved it so much I saved it. This is silly of course so I decided now was the time to use it.

The text chipboards are a favorite of mine too and are from Tim Holtz:

The photos are of my super cute English Cocker Spaniel puppy who was wearing her reindeer suit (which she doesn't like at all!):

This is my page for today! Hope you like it!!

Happy Place | Pretty Little Studio

Hello everyone, today I'm sharing another layout I created for Pretty Little Studio yet again featuring my sweet English Cocker Spaniel puppy. For this page I used the PLS Indian Summer collection. I adore the colors in this collection!!

I’m so happy Melissa decided to also print 12″x 12″ papers, like this gorgeous “Harvest Moon” paper. This paper practically scrapped itself. Except for the photo only some extra embellishments were needed to create a beautiful page, even the paint splatter is already printed on the paper! As I totally adored the gorgeous frames with the golden accents and those colorful vellum leaves, I definitely wanted to use those!

Aren’t those frames gorgeous?

Love the stitches in the vellum leaves!

On the circle I placed a few clusters with the vellum leaves and then added some cardstock die-cuts as well. For the right side of the photo I found the perfect journaling card and placed one of the beautiful frames underneath and another on top. I also added one of the die-cut words & a word sticker. (I really love everything in this collection!):

Love the camera on this card, so I didn’t want to cover it up.

Don’t you just love all the die-cuts in this collection?! The frames, the flowers, the words and that fox!

So many gorgeous die-cuts in this collection!

After writing a few lines of journaling and stamping the date twice my page was done! I ‘m really happy with the outcome, I hope you like it too!

Here’s what I used: Indian Summer collection: 8×8 paper pack; 12×12 paper: Harvest Moon; Journaling cards: Magic Days; Die-Cut Frames: Timeless; Die-Cuts: Indian Summer Leaves Vellum, Happy Place 2, Time Together; Stickers: All The Feel.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! Wishing you a happy weekend!
