I HEART YOU | JustNick Studio & Doodlebug Design

Hi friends! Today I'm up on JustNick's blog with this colorful layout using the super fantastic Radiating Background cut file! As soon as I saw this cut file I saw the finished layout in my head. I had just bought the new Doodlebug Design Love Notes collection and this cut file was so perfect for it! When it comes to Doodlebug I can never decide which papers I should use as I just adore them all. With this cut file I can use them all!! Here's what I made:

And this is the Radiating Background cut file:

Isn't this cut file just perfect to use all those papers you love so much and that you don't have to choose between them? I adore it! Here are a few close-ups of some of the details of my page:

The papers glued behind the cut file all came from the 6"x 6" inch Doodlebug Love Notes paper pad and because all papers are double-sided I only needed 9 instead of 18 of the 6" x 6"sheets.

I thought about glue-ing different pieces of paper behind all the empty spaces in the cut file but decided against it, as I thought that would be too much of a good thing. I already used 18 different designs as it is.

I love the tiny enamel hearts in this collection and used them in the banner and in some of the flowers.

I love stitching on my pages,so that's what I did here as well. I stitched around the entire page and on some of the elements on my page, like on the "Hugs & Kisses" die-cut.

I love how easy it was to put this page together and I'm so happy with the result. Hope you like it too!

Can't wait to see what you will do with this cut file. Don't forget to share your project on our facebook page or on Instagram using the #justnickstudio.

Please visit the JustNick store for the Radiating Background cut file or one of the many other awesome cutfiles!

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to have a look at my project! Wishing you a happy and crafty weekend.

Happy Together | Step-by-step | My Creative Scrapbook February Kit

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a step-by-step of my favorite February layouts, created for My Creative Scrapbook with their February Main Kit. This kit is filled with lots of goodies from the "So Happy Together" collection from Simple Stories as well as a few sheets from Jen Hadfield & Photo Play Paper. This month we also have some amazing cut files and I just had to use one for my page.

This is the layout I made the step-by-step for:

And this is the cut file I chose:

I started with assembling everything I (thought I) wanted to use:

After deciding which patterned paper would function as my background paper (the yellow chequered paper) I chose another paper to cut the "Love You" cut file from (red with white dots). I uploaded the cut file into my Silhouette library and prepared it so I could cut it. This meant I had to trace the design first before I could cut it:

After cutting the "Love You" cut file and placing it onto the yellow chequered paper, I decided I wanted a white edge around my page. I cut off a small strip from 2 sides of the yellow paper and placed it on a sheet of white cardstock:

I used the leftover letters to cut around:

And adhered these behind the cut file:

And voilĂ :

Because of the colorful papers I used I chose a black & white photo (of my daughter with our new puppy). I placed it here and there before deciding I wanted it in the bottom right corner:

Now the fun part started: embellishing! I added lots of die-cuts, chipboards and stickers!

And then filled many of the empty hearts with die-cut hearts (as I don't like blank spaces, lol):

Now my layout was almost done, all it needed was a bit of machine stitching! Here are some close-up photos of the finished layout:

A stamped date was necessary as well of course!

Don't you just adore this kit?!

Together | JustNick & Pebbles Inc.

Hi friends! For my turn on JustNick's blog I created this layout using the brand new "Heart Ring" cut file.

This is the cut file I used (I'll add the link to the cut file in the store later):

I love using background cut files on my pages as they are so very versatile! This time I chose to cut the file from a sheet of patterned paper and also filled some of the open hearts with patterned paper.

I used Pebbles "Loves Me" collection, which I totally adore. Look at all those super cute animals!

Before I adhered the cut file I stamped a light chevron pattern on my white cardstock background paper using a stamp from Prima Marketing.

When my page was almost done I machine stitched both parts of the heart ring cut file as well as in some random places.

I couldn't resist adding a few bits and pieces from Doodlebug Design like the red matte sprinkles, the piece of  "love" washi tape and the enamel rainbow. The word sticker at the bottom of the photo is from Crate Paper.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out all the inspiration on our blog. Don't forget to visit the JustNick store to see all the other awesome cut files!

Wishing you a wonderful week!

My Creative Scrapbook February Main Kit | Happy

It's reveal time for the February kits from My Creative Scrapbook! I can't believe how time flies! I haven't even shown you all the layouts I created with the January kits (if you want to see them all please visit my Instagram account). This month I received the Main Kit which is mainly filled with the "So Happy Together" collection from Simple Stories (patterned paper, chipboards, cardstock stickers and ephemera die-cuts), as well as a few sheets from Jen Hadfield "This is Family" and Photo Play Paper 'Family' collections.  Also included in the main kit is a Prima clear stamp, and some gold puffy phrase thickers by American Crafts.

Here's one of the layouts I created with this kit. Really loving the colors in this kit!

And a few close-ups:

Pretty Little Studio Planner Spread

Hello friends! I love working on my planner and for the blog post I made for Pretty Little Studio I decided to use their collection “Document Life” for one of my spreads in my Happy Planner. I really love how it turned out! Let me show you my week:

Every Pretty Little Studio collection contains so many fun cards, tags, stickers, die-cuts … you name it, it’s there! And that makes absolutely every collection perfect to use for your planner. Apart from that, most collections can also be used together; especially the little word stickers or the word flags can be combined with almost every collection.

Here’s a closer look at the left side of my week:

And here’s also a closer look at the right side of my week:

As I have started Project Life albums and other planners several times before and never managed to persevere, I thought of ways to simplify decorating this 2020 Happy Planner. So what I did first was investing in a little Sprocket printer which printed photos in exactly the same size as the rectangles in this planner. Now I can simply print the photos straight from my phone and because the back of these photos is adhesive I stick them directly into my planner. My next decision was to use a lot of items from Pretty Little Studio. The reason being that Pretty Little Studio has so many little bits and pieces in every collection that there’s always an item that is just what I’m looking for! In this way my spreads are done in no time at all! I am determined that this year will be the first year I’ll complete an entire planner!

Let me show you a few close-ups of all the items I’ve used for this week in January. Here’re close-ups of the left side:

On Tuesday a delivery arrived at our house, which was packed in dry ice. My boys and even the puppy loved playing with it! So the “happy” sticker and “Yay” die-cut were just perfect!

The pink flower die-cut is from a different collection: “XOXO”.

And here are some close-ups of the right side:

I cut the “busy busy busy” from a 3×4 journaling card. Love it!

I love the “It’s the weekend!” die-cut. I could use that one every week! I love it when the weekend arrives!

Here’s what I used for my planner spread: Document Life collection: 8×8 paper pack; Journaling Cards: Journaling Highlighs; Die-Cuts: Jazzy Tabs, Rise & Shine Tag, Seen & Noted, Days of the Week; Stickers: Notable Word – Multi. Cut-Aparts: Just Because Word Flags. XOXO collection: Die-Cuts: Blooming Love, Hello Lovely Words, Love You.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog!
