A Hug in a Mug | Pretty Little Studio layout

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing another Frosty and Friends layout which I created for Pretty Little Studio. This time I chose not to scrap a snow & ice layout, but instead I used a photo of my daughter enjoying her coffee. Love this versatile collection!

Here's my page:

For this layout I used my Silhouette to cut this beautiful heart cut file (from Peartree Cutfiles) from a sheet of white cardstock and used it as a stencil. I placed the heart cut file on another sheet of white cardstock and with four different colors of distress oxide stamping ink and a soft brush I colored over the heart cut file and next removed it. Loving the result!

Next I matted my photo and chose the 3x4 journaling with the cup and the text "A Hug in a Mug" and placed this on the left side of the photo. The word "love" is another die-cut I adore and very much wanted to use it. I placed this over the journaling card.

Below the photo I added a few rows of "stitches" stickers and machine stitched over them:

At the top of the photo I placed a pink bracket card with the date stamped on it, a heart die-cut and a little word flag.

Above the journaling card with the mug I placed a die-cut frame, another word flag and a sticker with a row of stitches (how I love these stitches stickers!).

And because we have a cute puppy of our own, I just had to add the little doggie peeking out next to the photo.

I so so so love the Frosty collection! The collection is so versatile, you can use it for so many occasions and so many different kinds of photos!

I hope I've been able to inspire you to give this collection a try. Don't forget to share your project with us if you do!

Here's a list of the PLS products I used:

Lovely Day | April Creative Kit | My Creative Scrapbook

 Hello friends!

Yesterday I posted my first layout created with the Bunnies and Blooms collection from Simple Stories, which is featured in the April Creative Kit from the kit club My Creative Scrapbook. I love this kit so much!

Here's the 2nd layout I created sofar:

For this layout I decided to use a photo of myself (which I almost always regret as soon as I'm done, lol).

Here are the close-ups:

Really loving the chequered background paper!

Here's the photo of the April Creative Kit once more:

Easter Layout with the April Creative Kit | My Creative Scrapbook

Hi friends!

Last week the postal services finally decided to deliver the April Creative Kit at my address! Yay! I was in a hurry to receive this kit as it contains the Bunnies and Blooms collection from Simple Stories, which I adore!! (of course, when you're wishing for a kit to arrive real fast then it takes ages and ages!).

Sofar I've created two layouts with this kit and today I'm sharing the first one: Easter:

For this page I've used a strip of 3 small photos. Here are 3 close-ups of the layout:

This is it! Hope you like it!

Winter | Pretty Little Studio, Frosty Collection

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing my first layout created with the new "Frosty" collection from Pretty Little Studio. I was so happy when the Frosty collection finally arrived in my part of the world. I couldn't wait to get started! But as I work in an office during the week I had to wait for the weekend before I could play.

Last February we had a few days of very cold weather here in the Netherlands and in no time at all all ditches, ponds and canals were frozen over. We sooooo loved it and the kids quickly went to find their ice skates.

For Ginny, our dog, it was the first time she saw snow and ice and although at first she didn't know what to think, it didn't take her long to decide she loved it!!

Of course I took lots of photos and the Frosty collection is really perfect for them! Here's what I made:

For the background I chose the "Winter" sheet and added blue and pink stamping ink (distress oxide) with water and a stamp from my stash. On top I machine stitched two strips of patterned paper (the blue checkered sheet from the 12" x 12" paper pack and the top sheet of this same pack). I matted the larger photo on a piece of patterned paper and adhered this photo as well as the smaller photo on the strips of paper.

Next I added die-cuts and stickers and machine stitched around the entire page. The white cardstock word "winter" was cut with my Silhouette but all the rest is from the Frosty collection.

Isn't this a super cute collection?!! I adore it! Here are a few more close-ups:

I had such a fun time creating this page!!
