Title: summertime is terrace time (zomer, tijd voor een terrasje)
Journaling reads: When we're on holiday we never make lunch or dinner ourselves, but we always eat out on these little terraces; delicious!! (Als we op vakantie zijn koken we nooit zelf, maar vind je ons altijd op een terrasje: 's middags én 's avonds (en tussendoor); heerlijk!! Lanzarote, 2006)
I challenged myself to use this one sheet of Prima paper. I bought it because I found it so very beautiful in itself...without any other papers or embellishements or whatever and that made it so difficult for me to use. In the end I decided not to use any other papers, but to machine stitch around the photo(mat) and on the photo and just use a lot of Prima embellishments (bling, flowers, stem, owl), a piece of ribbon, a stamp of a clock, a Maya Road journaling card, some Thickers and adhesive pearls, some dymo tape and two staples.... And I'm quite glad how it turned out, hope you think so too!
Today was the last day before the summer holidays (it's raining cats and dogs!!) and I still had to finish the "presents" for Mats' and Timothy's teachers. As they will be back in the same class next schoolyear - with the same teacher - it's just a way of saying "thank you and have nice holiday" and not a "farewell" as was the case with Manons teachers....
Kept it simple, nothing fancy.
You call those gorgious cards "nothing fancy" ?
ReplyDeleteLove love love the layout, hope you win the challenge.
