Hi friends, here's a spring layout I created for JustNick Studio using the Broken Butterfly cut file. I adore all those "broken" cut files so when I saw this one I just knew I had to use it! Since I wanted to use a white background (but love my colors) I decided to cut the butterfly from a multicolored paper. Here's what I created:
This is the Broken Butterfly cut file I used:
I used Crate Paper's "Willow Lane" collection from Maggie Holmes. I think I have all of the collections she designed, I'm such a huge fan. This collection was just perfect for a spring layout featuring my beautiful daughter:
Although I had decided to use a white background in the end I thought it was a bit too white and so I brushed some light pink paint (Gelatos) over it, using a large square foam brush. Next I added lots of paint drops and then also cut off 1.5 cm from two sides and glued the white paper onto a patterned paper, so the background wasn't so white anymore:
After adhering the butterfly to my background, I placed the matted photo in the bottom right corner and embellished it. Next came the cluster in the top left corner (aren't those puffy stickers awesome?!):
And the little cluster in the top right corner:
When I had the three clusters in place I decided to fill all the spaces in the butterfly with little puffy hearts:
When I was finished I really loved the result! After some machine stitching and stamping the date my layout was almost done! The little pink bow was the perfect finishing touch! Hope you like it!
Don't forget to visit the JustNick store to check out this Broken Butterfly cut file or any other "broken" or not broken cut files.

April step-by-step My Creative Scrapbook | Beautiful
Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a step-by-step for one of the layouts I created for My Creative Scrapbook with their April Main Kit. This kit contains mainly Carta Bella's Flower Market collection and I totally adore all the beautiful papers in this kit and especially those b-sides! Red is my favorite color, and when you see the b-sides of the papers in this kit you'll understand why I love them so much!
For today I chose to do a step-by-step of my "Beautiful" layout. The photo of my daughter was taken a few years ago when we were in Greece. I love the flowers behind her in the photo and how they match not only the color of her clothes, but also the colors in this kit!
When I start with a scrapbook page I always gather my supplies close around me so I have a good look at all the products I can use:
I started with a white cardstock sheet and adhered two strips of patterned paper on the left side. The photo was matted on two pieces of patterned paper and in the largest piece of paper I cut a v form at the bottom. The photo was then placed on top of the strips of paper on the left side:
Next I wanted to use the white foam "You Make Miso Happy" Jillibean Soup alpha's for the title, but I wanted a colored title instead of a white one and tried coloring them with a few different pens before deciding the Copic Markers were the best choice to hand color the letters (the others pens didn't dry quick enough for my taste):
Look what a beautiful result. Against the white cardstock, this looks much better than a white title I think.
After adding a few more die-cuts, machine stitching, a date stamp and a few drops of ink I was done!
Here are a few more close-ups:
Here's a quick look at the April Main kit:

I wanted some flowers to add to the corners of the photo, but as I had no flower die-cuts left I decided to hand-cut some flowers from the "Garden Floral" paper:
When I had the flowers placed where I wanted them, I decided the white cardstock was too white and using a blender brush and a light pink ink pad I colored the cardstock around the photo a light pinkish color:
Next I wanted to use the white foam "You Make Miso Happy" Jillibean Soup alpha's for the title, but I wanted a colored title instead of a white one and tried coloring them with a few different pens before deciding the Copic Markers were the best choice to hand color the letters (the others pens didn't dry quick enough for my taste):

My Creative Scrapbook | HELLO
Hi friends, here's another layout I created with the April Main kit from My Creative Scrapbook and the beautiful Flower Market collection from Carta Bella.
The pink cardstock with the arrows cut out of it, is actually a part of the packaging of the "You Make Miso Happy" Jillibean Soup alpha's.
Last February we had my sister's dog to stay with us for a week and I came to realise how empty our house is without a dog in it! (high time to start looking for one again!) Of course we took some photos, which had to be scrapped:
I love my stash of hand punches and find I don't use them enough, so for this page I decided to use two of them. Love the result!

Aren't these Carta Bella papers beautiful?! I'm in love!!
Thank you so much for stopping by! I so appreciate it!

JustNick | Together Layout
Today I'm sharing a layout I created for JustNick Studio a little while ago. I used two of the new March cut files: Bloom and Floral Grouping 1 and Pretty Little Studio's XOXO collection to create this family layout:
And these are the cut files I used:
I also cut two flowers from the "Bloom" cut file from patterned paper and some leaves from white cardstock and adhered the flowers on top of the photo in the bottom left corner and in the top right corner. The leaves I slid under the photo also in the top right corner.
I really love how delicate these flowers are and how super easy they cut!
If you're looking for some beautiful spring cut files or any other cut file, then make sure to visit the JustNick store and take a look at all the fabulous designs.

Aren't these cut files beautiful?! I cut the "Floral Grouping 1" from both white cardstock and from a piece of patterned paper, the white one slighter larger than the colored one. I placed these on top of each other to create extra depth and added the matted photo on top.
I really love how delicate these flowers are and how super easy they cut!

My Creative Scrapbook April Kits & 1st Layout
Hi everyone! It's time for the reveal of the April kits at My Creative Scrapbook. This month I got the Main kit filled with the Flower Market collection from Carta Bella. I love the papers in this kit and and was very pleased with the B-sides, of which a lot are in shades of red (my favorite color).
I filled some of the roses of the cut file with the B-side of the 3x4 journaling cards:
Here's one of the layouts I created and for which I used the B-side of the paper "Planted Flower" and one of the April cut files (free for customers) from My Creative Scrapbook:
The photo is of my beautiful darling daughter, who brought me a red velvet cupcake (my favorite) for Valentine's Day while I was at work. I love her to bits!
Here are a few close-ups: at the bottom right corner of my page I used one of my (little used) border punches.

I really love the soft colors of this collections! I'll share more of my layouts created with this kit later this month but if you can't wait to see what all the DT members did with their kits then please visit the DT gallery over at the My Creative Scrapbook website.

My Creative Scrapbook March Main Kit | Step-by-step tutorial Vacay
Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing another step-by-step for one of the layouts I created with the March Main Kit from the kit club "My Creative Scrapbook".
For today I chose to do a step-by-step of my "Vacay" layout created with the March Main Kit and Pebbles' Chasing Adventures collection. I'm a huge fan of Pebbles and totally adore this collection. When I had finished three layouts with this kit I had a large amount of ephemera left over and because I really love each and every one of the cute die-cuts I decided to do a layout where I would use all of the leftover die-cuts I had!
This is the page I made:
As I really loved the result I thought I would show you how I created this.
First of all I gathered all of the supplies of the March Main Kit I had left (which was quite a lot, considering I had already created 3 layouts with it):
Next I drew a large circle on a sheet of white American Crafts cardstock using a chipboard circle template from Technique Tuesday (from my stash):
Now I had to decide where I wanted which die-cuts on my layout. I started with the flower die-cuts and divided them evenly on the circle I had drawn:
The next step was to fill in all the white spaces on the circle. I started at the bottom:
And in this way I worked my way around the circle. The next part I filled in was the bottom right corner:
I continued my way around the circle, at first only using the die-cuts, but as I neared completion of the circle I also added in some of the fun stickers:
Doesn't it look fun? Those die-cuts in this collection are my new favorites!!
Now I only had to add my photo to the layout. I chose a photo of my daughter where she has this similar pose to some of the die-cuts of the die-cut girls. I matted the photo on to a piece of yellow patterned paper (from the sheet called Savanna) and placed it on the right middle side of my page:
With a journaling card from the sheet called "Adventure", one of the Thickers phrases and an extra chipboard piece and sticker my layout looked almost finished:
With the addition of some machine stitching, hand journaling and a stamped date (twice) the layout was complete!
The layout was done in no time at all and it felt so good to use all of those die-cuts. Normally when I really really love scrapbook supplies I save them for a very special occasion which often means they stay in my stash gathering dust. Using them felt so much better!
Here's a look at the March Main Kit I used:
