You probably know I love all Nikki Sivils' products, so when I saw the new challenge on her blog I decided to play. The challenge for this month is from Katrina Hunt and is "Scrap an Object".
That wasn't too difficult as I had just made some photos of Mats "litlle" family:
Quite a collection, right?? The panda's are his favorite cuddlies, that's why he has 4! And this whole family has to sit on his bed (and preferably IN his bed when Mats goes to sleep) but alas he's allergic to dust (bugs). So, even though I wash them all regurlarly he can sleep with only 2 or 3.
For this layout I used several of Nikki's lines: "It's Raining, It's Pouring" (it really is!), "Tree Love", "Summer" and "We are Family". I love that these lines all go together so well!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Monique

Have you visited the Dutch Dares blog today yet?? We just posted the new dare: "Disney" and it's so much fun to see everyone's different takes on it! here's mine:
Hier is mijn layout:
Een foto van Manon toen we in 2006 in Disneyland in Calfornië waren (ahhhh, wat is ze hier nog schattig!).
Papier, (groene) letter stickers en diecuts zijn allemaal van Nikki Sivils de "Summer" line, (kurk) letters zijn van MM, bling swirl van Colorbök, bloemetjes van Prima en twine van "Divine Twine".
Materials: patterned paper, (green) letter stickers, diecuts: all Nikki Sivils the "Summer" line, (brown) letters: MM, bling swirl: Colorbök, flowers: Prima and twine from Divine Twine.
And of course I machine stitched the lot!!
And if you like Disney too, why not join us this month? Maybe you'll be the winner of the RAK or our next guest designer!
Have a great day and hope to see you back soon!

Love You!
Goedemorgen allemaal!! / Good morning everyone!!
I'm so happy as today is my day off!! We'll be going to the garage in a few minutes to collect the new car (it's a pitty that I have to say goodbye to my little Daihatsu Trevis....), but once we're back I get to scrap the rest of the day! Yay!! (well, at least until the kids come home from school).
Here's a page I made last Friday. Every first Friday of the month I scrap with a group of friends, which I really love!
Het papier en de embellishments zijn van Nikki Sivils (It's Raining, It's Pouring) en vind ik toch zo onwijs leuk! Hier zijn nog wat details:
Paper and embellishments are from Nikki Sivils (It's Raining, It's Pouring). I've been a huge fan of Nikki's papers from the very beginning, and this line is one of my favorites!
Leuk he?
The epoxy shapes are made with my tools from Epiphany Crafts!
This month I'm the featured design team member over at Crop Addict, which means I host all the challenges in April. For the monthly challenge I designed this sketch:
Dus mocht je zin hebben in een challenge (je kan ook nog wat winnen!) kom langs op Crop Addict!!
So if you feel like scrapping why not try the sketch too and upload it into the Crop Addict gallery? You could win the monthly prize!!
En nu ... op naar de garage!!

My Core'dinations Creative Frenzy!
Core'dinations is having a Design Team Call and because I LOVE their products I decided to give it a go!
Here are three new projects I created with their cardstock this week. I decided on three totally different projects: a layout, a card and a "sleeve" for a "vase" (bottle).
First the layout: "Silly Kids"
Materials: Cardstock: Core'dinations (Core Impressions Cosmo Cricket Classics Collection), patterned paper: Cosmo Cricket (Jack's World), corrugated letters: Making Memories, doilie: Maya Road, corrugated flower, bird & white/black flower: Lily Bee, other flowers & white/black leaves: Prima Marketing, buttons: Creative Café, Fabric star: Canvas Design, ink: Color Box cat's eye.
Techniques: I sanded the cardstock to achieve the beautiful white accents, I spray inked the fabric star, inked a lot of edges of the embellishments and of course I machine stitched the four edges of the layout.
Secondly an Easter card:
Materials: Cardstock: Core'dinations (Core Impressions Cosmo Cricket Classics Collection & Color Core), patterned paper: Scenic Route & Cosmo Cricket, flowers & leaves: Prima Marketing, crystals: ZVA, twine: Divine Twine, letter stickers: Bella Blvd & Cosmo Cricket.
Techniques: I distressed the edges of the background cardstock (light green) and traced it twice with a black pen, I handcut the rabbit and sanded it, I punched the border in the middle.
And then the third project, a sleeve for a flower vase/bottle:
Materials: Cardstock: Core'dinations (Core Impressions Cosmo Cricket Classics Collection & Color Core), patterned paper: Best Creation (Bunny Love), epoxy shape: Epiphany Crafts, pins, yellow ink: Color Box cat's eye.
Techniques: The "vase" is an empty flowers bottle from Prima Marketing which I found just perfect for these Daffodils to put on my Easter breakfast table!
Here's what I did:
These were my three new projects I created especially for the call, but I want to show you one more new layout I created this week where I used Core'dinations: "What's that in your nose"

Here's what I did:
- For the sleeve: I cut a strip of Core'dinations cardstock from the Cosmo Cricket collection and sanded it.
- For the front: I used another strip of cardstock (Color Core) and folded it into a flower. Then I punched a circle from the Core'dinations Cosmo Cricket collection and another circle from the Best Creation collection. Then I used a round Best Creation sticker and to finish it off I placed an epoxy circle with a Best Creation chicken on top.
These were my three new projects I created especially for the call, but I want to show you one more new layout I created this week where I used Core'dinations: "What's that in your nose"
Materials: Cardstock: Core'dinations (Core Impressions Cosmo Cricket Classics Collection & Color Core), patterned paper: Nikki Sivils (We are Family), die cuts: Nikki Sivils, brad: Nikki Sivils, letter stickers: Nikki Sivils, bird die: Marianne Design, ABC border punch: Martha Stewart, twine: Divine twine.
Techniques: I sanded the dark brown Core'dinations cardstock and used it for both the strip at the bottom of the page as well as for the bird in the tree. I distressed the edges of the "orange" Color Core cardstock and used it as a photo mat for the top photo and last but not least I created a border with the red strip of Color Core cardstock with a Martha Stewart border punch.
I just LOVE the versatility of this cardstock!!!
This is it! Hope you like my projects and now keeping my fingers crossed for the call!!

The Scrappiest new design team and a new sketch!!
Wohoo, I'm allowed to stay on the new design team of The Scrappiest (and Liz had more than 100 applicants, omg!!) I'm so happy because I LOVE Liz' sketches!!
Here's the new sketch for this week:
And here's my take on it:
Here's the new sketch for this week:
And here's my take on it:
I turned the sketch upside down cause that worked better for me! The photos are from 6 years ago ... Manon is only 7 years old and looks so cute (she still does)!
For this page I used the De Lovely line from Cosmo Cricket again, stamps from myStampBOX (abundant blossoms) and epoxy shapes from Epiphany Crafts. I also used my Cuttlebug embossing border "caged bird" which I bought last Saturday (the brown bird cages in the top left corner). Love those!!
I haven't been able to use embossing folders before but last Saturday Angelique gave me her "old" Epic and I could finally buy some of those cute embossing folders too!! How sweet is that!! So happy with it!!
Right, back to the sketch.... if you have time to do the sketch and link it to the blog, then maybe you'll be the one to win the kit from Crazy Daisy Kits!!! And if you want to see who made the new design team have a look at this blogpost!!! and honestly the new team is amazing!! So many talented ladies in this group, I feel really honored to be part of this group!
Thanks for stopping by and see you back soon!!
.... btw did you see who the Guest Designer is at Nikki Sivils this month???? (doing a happy dance!!)

And new sketch for The Scrappiest and another MLS layout!!
As it's Monday I can show you the layout I made with Liz' new sketch, #65!!
I just can't get enough of My Little Shoebox!! The papers & the diecuts are so colorful, happy and bright and they fit with almost every photo! So here's another MLS layout!!

As you probably guessed by now, I applied for the My Little Shoebox design team!!
The closing date for the application was May 15 and now the waiting has started!!
The anouncement of who made the team will be made on June 15!!!
:( How far away is that!
-.-.-.-.-.-
Last week I received some happy - scrappy - mail!!
First my RAK from the Creative Scrappers arrived:
and then last Saturday a whole box full of Nikki Sivils' goodies!!! Nikki sent me the whole Henry Brilliance line, including the stamps and the mini album, everything!!! Look!!
Doesn't this look fantastic???

So much to share....
.... and so little time!
Let me begin with my post on myStampBOX!!! This month the Friday was appointed to me and that meant a "show and tell" post. I decided on this cute doorhanger. Used the papers from My Little Shoebox and combined them with the myStampBOX stamps "Abundant Blossoms".
I stamped a lot of flowers on different sheets of papers and cut them out, then I cut out a few images from the MLS papers, embroidered a few images, added a border, some ribbon and a "title" and created this:

If you have some time on your hands please head over to the blog of myStampBOX and leave me some love!!
Then secondly, this morning I got an e-mail from Pamela Young from ScrapStreet.com Magazine requesting one of my layouts for publication in one of their future magazines!!!! How exciting is that!!!!!
And then last but not least, THREE of my layouts are now featured on Nikki Sivils' blog!!!!! Please have a look (and maybe leave a comment....??).
This is it for now.... the photos of Denmark are on their way, I promise!!
