Fall Is In The Air! - Imaginisce

Yesterday I shared a Fall layout on Imaginisce's blog and I wanted to show it here too. On this page I used a brad I created with the I-Top tool and in this post I’ll show you how very easy it is to make these!

But first my layout using the fabulous Bushel o’ Fall collection and a bit of the Black Ice collection. The title and pumpkin cut files are from the Silhouette store.

Now let me show you how I made this brad:

Step 1: Choose a size for your punch and brad. I used the 22 mm (medium).

Step 2: Place the punched out paper shape on top of the shell (I always use a glue dot to keep my paper shape in place, but you don’t have to) and place them on your tool.

Step 3: Squeeze your tool and release:

Step 4: Fold the paper tabs inside the shell.

Step 5: Turn your tool around and place the brad base in the tool

Step 6: Squeeze until you hear a popping sound which means the brad clicked together.

And that’s it. Now you have the perfect – coordinating – brads!!

Easy Peasy! Hope you found this helpful, if you have any questions just let me know!

Now I have a few more photos, a couple of close-ups from the rest of the page:

Supplies Used: Imaginisce Bushel o’ Fall: patterned paper, die-cuts; Brad Daddies; Imaginisce Black Ice patterned paper; American Crafts: cardstock (black). Tools: Imaginisce I-Top tool, Silhouette Cameo, Martha Stewart leave punch.

And because it's October 31st today, which means HALLOWEEN!, I want to share these photos of Manon celebrating Halloween at school (in Louisiana): (she's the cat on the left)

Looks like she's having a great time!

This is it! Thank you so much for letting me share and for stopping by my blog today! Happy scrapping!

This kit made my heart race! - Scraptastic Club

Yesterday, on Scraptastic Club's blog I shared three layouts made with Scraptastic's October the "Heart It Races" kit and add-on. A very fitting name for this kit as it literally made my heart race when I saw it. I really adore this month's kit!!

Here's the first layout: another layout with a photo of my daughter and her friends in their Homecoming attire (I also made one for the October sketch challenge). As most of you know by now, my daughter is a foreign exchange student and Homecoming is not a familiar concept to her. When she signed up for her year in the USA this was one of the "events" she was very much looking forward to! And so when she sent me this photo I just had to scrap it straight away!

I decided to go with the pink/white/gold colors of the kit and really like the result! Here are a few close-ups:

Don't you just love the digital circle cut file that comes with this kit?!

The old book page is something that comes from my own stash. When scrapping I often have this old copy of "Wuthering Heights" beside me to tear pages from whenever I need a bit of extra "contrast". As a "Brontë" fan, I have several copies of this book as I can never resist it when I see it in second hand book stores.

On to the next layout I made with this kit. I wanted to scrap this photo of the four people who are most important to me: my husband and three kids. The photo was taken late in the afternoon during our holiday in Spain last April and that made for a bit of an orange glow. I decided to use the yellow/blue/brown/grey colors of the kit and LOVE the result.

And a few details in close-up:

I love the wood veneers and cork stars in this kit!!

And last but not least a layout in another size: 8.5" x 11". As you see more and more layouts appear in this size, I decided to give this a go too and I'm not disappointed, lol.

As I'm scrapping a photo of myself I decided to use my favorite colors for this page: red/orange/pink colors.

Loving the Teresa Collins rub-ons in this kit! They rub-on super easy!

Well, this is it for now. Hope you enjoyed my projects! If you would like to see more projects created with this kit, or when you're looking for inspiration, Scraptastic Club's blog is the place to be! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Pretty Little Studio - Halloween

Last Friday it was "Friday Feature" at Pretty Little Studio's blog. We were featuring “Bingo Cards” and how I love using bingo cards on my projects! I use them on almost every single project I make!

Here’s a Halloween layout with a photo of a crop day with many girls from my former LSS. When the store closed down we decided to go on scrapping together. We found a new location and now we have a “crop marathon” from 10.00 am until 10.00 pm every 6 weeks. We’ve been doing this for a couple of years now and  as you can see in the photo, we always have a lot of fun together!

and a few close-ups:

Collections Used: Pretty Little Studio's Trick or Treat Collection: Bingo tags, Word Flags, 1″ vintage circle Tags, pattern paper, diecuts.

Thanks for taking a peek! Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Scraptastic October Sketchy Thursday!

Today the brand new sketch challenge at Scraptastic Club went up on their blog and it's fabulous once again! Although you can find my take on Scraptastic's blog, I want to share it here too ... just because.

I used the "Heart it Races" kit and add-on and for my layout and picked out all the soft pink colors to scrap this Homecoming photo of Manon and her friends:

And a few close-ups:

The title is a cut file from Kerri Bradford (again):

Love the rub-ons, they work perfectly! I'm sorry for the bad quality of the picture of the flair ... I never quite manage to take a photo without the glare of my garden doors in them.

The die-cut "3" is actually from last month's kit, but was just what this page needed.

Love those paper clips!! The heart cut file is from Ashley Horton's "The Cut Shoppe" newsletter.

Supplies: patterned papers: AC Shimelle, Chickaniddy Crafts, Pebbles and Crate Paper; cardstock: American Crafts; die-cuts: Chickaniddy Crafts; clear word: Heidi Swapp; wood veneer: Scraptastic Club; flair button and cut-apart: Kaitlin Sheaffer; paper clip: Freckled Fawn; Rubons: Teresa Collins. Everything comes from the:

The Heart it Races kit:

and add-on:

And last but not least the October sketch, created by Susan Stringfellow:

This is it, thank you sooooo much for stopping by my blog and hope you'll have a fabulous end of the week!!
Hugs,

Manon loves soccer! - Pretty Little Studio

Today my post went up on Pretty Little Studio's blog! I used their Silly Monkey collection to create this girls soccer layout. My daughter and a couple of her friends are enthusiastic soccer players and a while ago Manon had to play against one of her best friends. It was a fabulous game to watch, so of course, I had to scrap it! The colors of the Silly Monkey collection were absolutely perfect!! And although you wouldn’t think that this collection would be perfect for photos of two 17 year old girls, it totally is!!

And a few close-ups: love these Bingo cards:

The file cute is from Kerri Bradford. She has the most amazing cut files!

Supplies: Silly Monkey: Papers, Phrase Strips, Bingo Cards, Tabs, Polaroid Tags, Vellum, Paper Ribbons. cardstock: American Crafts; cut file: Kerri Bradford.

Thanks for stopping by!
