Imaginisce & Kiwi Lane Designs & Giveaway!

This week Imaginisce is teaming up with Kiwi Lane Designs!

Kiwi Lane developed a scrapbooking method called "framing" and the Imaginisce team was given the privilege of using some of the fun Kiwi Lane templates.

As soon as I saw the Kiwi Lane templates, I knew which photo I was going to use! I received the “Mini Aspen Court” set which is a set of “wavy” designs, but cut in half the templates kind of resemble a moustache! And because I had these photos of my daughter I knew what I was going to do!

To create the moustache I used template 2B for the top of the moustache and 3B for the bottom. I traced half of both templates on (the back of) my paper, then folded the paper in half and hand cut it. And voilĂ ! A moustache! For the rest of my page I used another template (3A) from the “Mini Aspen Court” set and the circles from the “Tiny Shapes Accessories” set. Loved working with the Kiwi Lane products!

Now if you wonder where I got my background sheet with the text, that was done with my Silhouette Cameo and a sketch pen (just switched the blade for a black sketch pen!).

Supplies Used: Imaginisce (Black Ice: patterned paper; compact with jewel-colored gems).
Other Supplies used: Bazzill cardstock, Amercan Crafts Thickers.Tools: Imaginisce I-Rock tool, Silhouette Cameo, Kiwi Lane Templates (Tiny Shapes Accessory set, Mini Aspen Court set).

Jennifer Nicholes http://craftingmoments.wordpress.com

I discovered these super fun templates from Kiwi Lane for the very first time only a couple of months ago when Kiwi Lane and Doodlebug paired up and I was really excited when Kristy contacted me to ask me if I wanted to join them for the Kiwi Lane July Blog Hop! Yes! Of course!

I got to choose which template set I wanted and because I already had the border set "Chestnut Drive"

I now chose their fabulous "Wacky" template set.

And here's what I made, using Doodlebug's Stars & Stripes collection:

Last year I made a canal bike tour through the canals of Amsterdam with a couple of my friends. We had such fun!!!!

I hope you all enjoy this fun layout I made and make sure you check out Kiwi Lane Designs' web site: www.kiwilane.com

If you want more information on the technique I used, be sure you check out the Kiwi Lane blog! or maybe one or two of these Kiwi Lane films on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/KiwiLaneDesigns

Now, about that prize I promised. I will pick one random comment (= opmerking) left by 11:59 MST on Sunday, July 7th to win a set of Kiwi Lane Templates. You must be a blog follower to win.

Now hop over to your next stop  on the hop: Jennifer Budge: www.thingsthaticreate.wordpress.com.

Doodlebug & Kiwi Lane Designs

This week Doodlebug is teaming up with Kiwi Lane Designs. If you haven't heard of them before, Doodlebug has a video on their blog where you can see what it's all about ... go HERE to have a look.

The entire Doodlebug design team received a couple of Kiwi templates and were asked to create a project of choice. This is the set I got:

And this is what I created:

and a few details:

The layout is about my daughter at the beach in Barcelona last October. I got the "Chestnut Drive" set from Kiwi Lane and I just love the wavy shapes! I thought they were just perfect for a beach & sea photo. These shapes were so easy to work with and I had so much fun tracing, cutting and layering that I'm sure I'm going to use this set again pretty soon!

Supplies: Doodlebug Flower Box collection: patterned papers, cardstock stickers, Doodles cardstock stickers, fancy frills, teensy type alphabet stickers, washi tape, Doodle-Pop (Paradise).

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
