Stuck?! Sketches May 1 Reveal!

Hi friends! On May 1st a new sketch was revealed at Stuck?! Sketches! Laura did a fabulous job with it and I had so much fun using it. I decided to dig through my stash and found the Saturday collection from October Afternoon almost untouched! I also found a "swag bag" from Paper Issues I once bought, but I sadly I can't remember from which month it is (they have a new swag bag each month).

Here's the page I created. The photos are from a while ago, when my youngest was still only 4 years old (how time flies):

May 1st sketch:

And here are two close-ups of my page:

If you decide to join in the sketch challenge we're having two amazing sponsors again this month:

  • The ScrapRoom, who are offering a $20.00 gift certificate to one lucky participant!

and

  • Accent Scrapbooking, who are offering a $25.00 gift certificate to a second lucky participant!

Please link up your layouts over in the sidebar on the blog of Stuck?! Sketches by May 29th 2017 at midnight EST to be in the running for one of our prizes! All prizes will be drawn randomly using Random.org to pick a number.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I really hope I'm going to see your take on this sketch!

Paper Issues Spring Crop | March Into Spring Challenge

With all the new collections in my possession, I wanted nothing more than to use those! So I decided to do another layout for one of Paper Issues Spring Crop challenges, this time for the "March Into Spring" challenge and use the "Everyday" collection from Pebbles.

The photo was taken not last weekend, but the weekend before when I was away for a couple of days with 2 of my best friends to do nothing more than scrap, read, laugh, shop, eat and sleep. Bliss!! I want more of those weekends!!

Pebbles' Everyday collection is so beautiful with all the golds, awesome die-cuts and fabulous colors!

And at the moment I have a thing for using watercolor paints. I love the look of it!

Thanks for stopping by today! Wishing you a wonderful week!

Paper Issues Spring Crop!

Hi everyone! Today is my day off and I decided to join in Paper Issues' Spring Crop! One of the challenges that caught my eye straight away was the "Tic-Tac-Toe" challenge. So I grabbed the Fancy Pants "Happy Place" collection that just had arrived and got started. I chose the tic-tac-tow row "cardstock - stamp - paint/mist" and here's what I did:

I love using paints and inks, but hate the wobbly cardstock it creates. So when my page had dried I adhered it to another (very sturdy and straight) piece of cardstock and machine stitched it as well and that helped some.

Here's the "Tic-Tac-Toe" image we got:

And here are a few detail photos of my page: btw, the flair is from a much older FP collection (Memories Captured).

I love that this Fancy Pants collection contains so many ephemera and die-cuts!!

I loved playing along and hope I'll find the time to join in a few more of the fun challenges. If you've got the time then don't hesitate and play along too! You'll find the challenges on Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook Page.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Monique

Paper Issues Online Crop Weekend - Free Files Challenge

This weekend Paper Issues is hosting an online crop (on facebook) with lots and lots of fun challenges and prizes and I decided to play along with one of the challenges: Becky's "use one of the FREE files available in the Paper Issues Store to create a never before seen or linked up project!"

And here's what I did using one of the free Silhouette cut files and the Amy Tangerine collection "Stitched":

I used the ampersand card from this set of cards: Ampersand Love This cards

And a few close-ups:

The circles stamp is from Scraptastic:

Love the "Stitched" collection!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Falling for You - Paper Issues' new issue!

Last Monday Paper Issues' new issue went up: "Fallin' for You", sponsored by Ruby Rock-It. You can link up any and every project you've got concerning Fall and/or Weddings/Anniversaries/Love You ... etc. I used the Bella Blvd collection I bought at Paper Issues to create a "love you" layout about my son. Hope you like it!

LOVE YOU:

and a few close-ups:

The stitching was done with an Amy Tangerine template, which are also available at Paper Issues' store!

De geborduurde pijl heb ik gemaakt met behulp van een sjabloon van Amy Tangerine (die ook in Paper Issues' webshop verkrijgbaar is).

One lucky winner will win a prize pack from Ruby Rock-It. So start linking your old and/or new projects on PI's blog!! Good luck!! and if you feel like shopping in PI online store then don't forget to use my code "monique" for a 20% discount for your entire order!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
