Goal Getter | Step-By-Step My Creative Scrapbook | July Creative Kit

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing my step-by-step for this layout I created for My Creative Scrapbook using the July Creative kit.

I wanted to scrap these two photos of my youngest son and because of the bright colors of his shirt this kit was absolutely perfect!

This is the layout I created:

First I displayed the kit on my scrap table:

Next I decided on a "round" design and therefore needed something round to trace and found this plate:

I traced the plate with a pencil and cut out the circle, which I then placed on a sheet of white cardstock:

Next I cut three rectangles and placed these on top of the circle:

Next up were the fabulous puffy words:

These words were perfect to arrange around the circle:

I decided I wanted a patterned paper below the white cardstock, so I cut off approx. 1 cm on all sides and adhered the cardstock on a sheet of light blue pattered paper, called "April Showers".

Of course the layout needed some machine stitching:

I stitched both on the patterned papers as well on all 4 sides of the layout:

Next I placed the two photos on the rectangles in the middle of the circle. I wrote some journaling beneath and added a couple of die-cuts & stickers (which I changed again later-on):

After adding a few drops of paint I was done! Hope you like it!

Here are a couple of close-up shots:

Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Spring + Summer Coffee (and Tea) Lovers Blog Hop! This is a hop full of Spring + Summer inspired coffee and tea cards. If you'd like to start at the beginning of the hop and see all the details, including giveaway info, please visit the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog.

I had a bit of free time on my hand today and decided to create a quick card as well. Although this time I thought I'd create a "tea" lovers card as I have this stamp set from years ago from Scraptastic that I had never used. The papers I used are from the Hussle and Heart collection from Amy Tangerine and the markers are from Stampin' Up.

Here's what I did:

Hope you like it!! Now it is time for you to go back and see the next person on the hop! Have a great time everyone! Click HERE to return.

Happy & crafty Friday!!

and a few close-ups: love the little chipboarad van!

Aren't those puffy Thickers awesome?!

Stuck?! Sketches March 1st Reveal!

It's March 1st and that means time for the new sketch challenge at Stuck?! Sketches! Laura created another fabulous sketch and because I had just received the new Amy Tangerine collection "On A Whim" I decided to put it to good use! It became a very colorful page!

And this is Laura's sketch:

The photos I used are from our vacation in Greece last year. When I see these photos I soooo wanna go back!

A few close-ups:

The tag is originally white but they are color resist, so when I applied some yellow mist and wiped it off again the pineapple appeared! So fun!!

And don't you just love the flamingo and the cactus?!

I would love it if you'd play along with us! If you do, you've got until March 29 to link up your layouts over in the sidebar on the Stuck?! Sketches blog to be in the running for one of the prizes!   All prizes will be drawn randomly using Random.org to pick a number.

Our sponsors for this month are:
  • Accent Scrapbooking who are offering a $25.00 gift certificate to their Etsy Shop to one lucky participant!
  • Crafty Ribbons, who are offering a $10.00 (pounds) gift certificate to their online shop to a second lucky participant!

Also, to show you how much we appreciate that you play along with us and share your designs and talent with us we will be choosing one scrapbooker from each challenge to guest with us at a later date!

Today Is A Happy Day!

Today I thought I'd share the layout I created for The Cut Shoppe blog. I love Ashley's cut files and always feel so inspired when I see them! For this layout, I used the "Feel The Love" cut file, but only used the circle with the "I love you this much" text. In this case the text refers to a city rather than to a person and of course that's New York! My daughter is a huge New York fan and so the text is very appropriate.

And this is the cut file I used "Feel The Love":

When I finished cutting the circle with my Silhouette Cameo I made sure I kept the leftover "pie" parts apart. I wanted to use these later-on to place on my patterned paper as a template, so I could hand cut around them knowing I had the right size to fill my cut file. I used the "Stitched" collection from Amy Tangerine for my page.

And that's it! Hope you like it! For this cut file and many more hop over to The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store! Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek at my project! Wishing you a wonderful day!

Winner Scrap Our Stash Blog Hop Giveaway and a Scraptastic Club layout!

Good winner everyone!! First of all, I promised you a winner for the "Scrap Our Stash" blog hop!! I used the Random Number Generator to choose the winner. Without further ado ... congratulations to number 19: Rose Santuci-Sofranko!! Please send me your address and I'll send you the Echo Park stamp & die set to you a.s.a.p.!

Thank you so much everyone for joining in the giveaway and for leaving me all those sweet comments!

Next I've got a layout to share I created for Kay's and my challenge at Scraptastic Club's blog "use geometric shapes on your project". I decided to use lots of square photos on my layout (instead of just the one photo, what I normally do) and printed them in a lot of different (square) sizes. I used the April “Eloise” kit and add-on, filled with Amy Tangerine's "Better Together" collection.

I adhered all the photos in the top half of my layout and cut two journaling cards from one of the exclusive Scraptastic Club papers designed by Kaitlin Sheaffer and adhered these at the bottom of my page. Next I decorated my layout using one of the acrylic words, some of the clear stickers, flower die-cuts, a word sticker and a bit of Amy Tangerine washi tape:

Although I don’t often use so many photos on one layout, I really love the result. Hope you do too!

Hop over to Scraptastic's blog to see what Kay created for this challenge!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Hugs,
Monique

Scraptastic Store - Amy Tangerine - Good Times and Scraptastic Kit Club July Sneak Peeks!

Hi everyone, today I've got a layout up on Scraptastic Club's blog which I created with Amy Tangerine’s Rise and Shine collection from the Scraptastic Store. I’m always drawn to the colorfulness of Amy’s collections and can never resist buying all of them. For this layout I chose a photo of my 3 kids in a hurricane simulator. They had so much fun! My daughter’s hair flew all over the place and while she was trying to “rescue” it, her brothers had to laugh so hard!

I love the epoxy stickers that come with this collection, because of the extra dimension they add to my page and used quite a lot of them. Thinking of hurricanes I thought adding some clouds would be approriate.

I also adore the “silver” die-cuts, like the cloud and the word “happy”.

Another favorite of mine … frames!

Supplies: Amy Tangerine – Rise & Shine: Monroe Kraft Paper, Isabella Transparent Paper, Lana Paper, Emma Paper, Nicole Paper, Ella Paper, Mini Shaped Paperclips, Epoxy Stickers, Die Cut Cardstock Shapes, Chipboard Frames. American Crafts: Thickers.

Next .... the Scraptastic Kit Club July Sneaks!!!

This Life Noted:

True Colors:

Summertime Rolls:

I'm so excited about these kits!! Can't wait for them to arrive! I chose both the TLN and the Summertime Rolls kit, but am still in doubt wheter or not I should take the True Colors as well .... It's so hard to choose! The good news is that as of July 1st you can order yours too!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and wishing you some happy crafting!
xoxo
