Shine Bright a step-by-step | My Creative Scrapbook March Creative Kit

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a step-by-step for this colorful layout which I created with the My Creative Scrapbook March Creative kit, which features the Norbert's Birthday Party collection from Photo Play Paper. I really love all the bright colors in this kit and thought what better way to use them than for a rainbow?

So here's what I made, a layout of my daughter's birthday:

I started with displaying the kit:

Next I selected the papers I wanted to use and using a circle cutter I cutted 8 bows:

I adhered the bows at the bottom of the background cardstock using just a tiny bit of adhesive and used my sewing machine to adhere them for "real":

Next I matted the two photos and placed these on the rainbow, adding a tag on the left of the photos and one behind the right photo. I also added two stickers: the black light bulb between the photos and garland above the photos:

A few more embellishments followed: stickers on the photos and also below the photos, journaling above the top bow and a two sticker words above the journaling. The word stickers above the garland and a piece of twine in one of the tags:

At the top of the page I added a strip of dotted paper with two die-cuts in the left corner:

After adding a few drops of yellow paint I was done. Hope you like it!

Here's a photo of the March Creative Kit, isn't it fun?!

Pretty Little Studio | Planner spread

For my Pretty Little Studio blog post I've created another spread in my (big) Happy Planner using the Document Life collection by "Hello Heather". I love working in my planner (it's so addictive!) and this collection is just perfect for all seasons and so I happily used it for my March overview spread.

I've created a layout on the left side of this spread with one center photo and on the right side I've got a collection of events happening in March.

Here's a close-up of the left side of my planner spread. I've used mostly products from the Project Life collection, but the stamps I used are from and older collection: Oakley Avenue by Ashley Horton.

Even though March was only halfway through when I scrapped this page, I already knew that this photo would be perfect to take pride of place! This weekend we could finally shop in a "real" store again! For weeks shopping online was the only possibility we had. All shops were closed and even though I shopped online a lot, nothing beats shopping in a "real" store! Of course the first "real" store my daughter and I visited was a scrapbook store! We had to drive an hour to and an hour from for only half an hour shopping time, but it was totally worth it!

A favorite product of mine are the clear stitches sticker strips!

And here's the right side of my spread: a collection of random events, for example, last week a huge storm raced over our country and part of the roof flew off our house!

Another close-up of the right side: I love the "today" journaling card! and of course those stitches sticker below it.

I have my planner lying on the dining room table and whenever I have a moment I write in it and once or twice a week I print my photos using my Canon Selphy printer adhere them straight away. I love that I can print 8 small square photos on one 4"x 6" photo paper straight from my phone using the app.

This is it! Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a peek at my planner! Hope to see you again soon!

Life is Amazing | Pretty Little Studio | XOXO collection

Hello frieds! Today I'm sharing another 9" x 12" layout with you, which I created for Pretty Little Studio. For this page I used the awesome PLS XOXO collection. I wanted to scrap this photo of my daughter and her best friend and with this photo in my hand I went looking for the best collection to use. This turned out to be the XOXO collection. The colors are exactly right!

Here's the layout I made:

Aren't the colors just perfect for this photo?!

Although this collection is not one of the most recent collections it is still such an amazing collection! I just adore the paper with the coffee cups and the sheet with all the ampersands!

Here are a few detail photos:

I cut off a strip with coffee cups from the 8" x 8" paper "Love You A Latte". As I'm a huge coffee fan I love using all kinds of products related to coffee on my layouts. This paper with the coffee cups is one of my favorites!

The flower die-cuts (called Blooming Love) in this collections are just so beautiful!

This journaling card is one of a this package called "Love Today". Awesome, right?

I love using washi tape on my pages and this strip of adhesive vellum tape (called "Falling In Love") is very much like washi tape.

I love creating these smaller sized layouts. Sometimes, when I start a layout with a 12" x 12" sized paper, I find it a bit intimidating. This size is so much easier to scrap!

Here's an overview the PLS products I used on my layout:

XOXO collection

Paper Pack | XOXO 8x8

Die-Cuts | Blooming Love, Darling Journaling, Hello Lovely Words, Love Word Flags, Love You

Journaling | Love Today

Vellum Washi | Falling In Love
