Pebbles Thankful Layout including Free Silhouette Cut File!

Hello everyone! I'm a little behind sharing my projects on my blog, so it's very possible you already saw this Pebbles “Thankful” layout.

The photo is of my husband and me and I used the beautiful Woodland Forest collection and a Silhouette cut file I created myself to scrap this page. November last year my husband and I visited the breathtaking city of Venice together and we had such a great time. This time spent together, just the two of us, made me realise how lucky we really are, how much we have to be thankful for. Being there without the kids, gave us the opportunity to relax, enjoy the quiet (I know, Venice is anything but quiet, but you know what I mean) and overthink things we normally don’t have (or take) the time for. And that’s why I chose to scrap this photo for the “Thanksgiving” feature.

When I started this page I first designed a Silhouette cut file for it. I wrote “Be Thankful – Be Grateful – Be Blessed” and arranged it in a circle on my screen and cut if out of a white sheet of cardstock. If you want it too, just hop over to Pebbles' blog and click on the link below the image.

Next I chose some of the wonderful Woodland Forest papers, die-cuts, stickers etc. that I wanted to use to create my page:

I chose three different patterned papers to adhere behind the cut out words:

I layered my photo on two other different patterned papers and after machine stitching a circle on the background I adhered it in the middle of the circle. Then I started on the embellishing:

I love to embellish my pages. When I start I have a hard time knowing when to stop, I just keep adding more and more. So I added another cut file (a flower, not one of my own designs), lots of die-cuts, a wood veneer hedgehog, some cardstock stickers and a few phrase stickers.

Round and round it goes! - Pretty Little Studio and free cut file

I loved the photo for today’s Pretty Little Studio OTB challenge as I happened to have to right photos waiting for me on my desk! When my daughter was in London last year she took these fun photos of the London Eye and I really wanted to scrap those. Because they turned out a bit dark I left them on my desk for quite a while, but when I saw today’s challenge I just had to use them! The perfect Pretty Little Studio collection to use was “Neapolitan”; the photos are a bit dark because of the English weather, but because this collection is so light colored it formed the perfect counterpart! (Btw, the background paper is from October Afternoon.)

The title was created with my Silhouette (I’m a fan of large titles!). If you want it too, scroll down a bit to download it.

I LOVE US - Imaginisce & free cut file

Today was a perfect day to scrap! The sun is finally shining again and I really felt like creating a Spring layout. I chose these photos from Spring last year and Imaginisce's new "Welcome Spring" collection and a sketch from Sketchabilities and got started! 

Vandaag weer heerlijk zitten scrappen. Ik heb na al dat grijze, natte en winderige weer toch zo'n zin in lente dat ik foto's van vorig jaar lente gezocht heb en met de nieuwe "Welcome Spring" collectie van Imaginisce deze lentelayout gemaakt heb. De schets heb ik gevonden op "Sketchabilities" #109.

I created the "I love us" title with my Silhouette Cameo and a bit of Color Shine from Heidi Swapp. If you like the cut file too, then please feel free to download it (at the end of this blogpost).

And here's the sketch I used: #109 from Sketchabilities. Love it, even though I didn't use as much paints and mists as was intended (I think). However, if you look closely you'll see I did apply some gesso to the background paper. Love the effect! 

En dit is de schets die ik heb gebruikt, #109 van Sketchabilities. De opzet was vast dat er veel verf en mist enz gebruikt zou worden, maar ik kan dat gewoon niet, ben ik veel te netjes voor. Misschien ooit nog eens, wie weet. Als je goed kijkt zie je dat ik wel wat gesso op de achtergrond gebruikt heb.

The story of the melting ice cream - Lily Bee + free Silhouette cut file

Okay, I'll admit it, I just love Lily Bee and I have lots of their collections in my stash, old and new. So when I sat down to scrap these photos of Mats eating his ice cream I decided to use their "Sweet Shoppe" collection and combined it with some "Pinwheel" bit and pieces.

What I love about Lily Bee's collections are the sticker sheets with all the different sized alphabet stickers:

and the chipboard embellishments of course:

Oh oh, his shirt was sooo dirty, I don't think it survived this ice cream ....

For the background I designed my own Silhouette cut file and finally discovered how to share it. This is how it looks:

Then I simply cut 9 strips of paper and adhered them to my cardstock:
