Hi friends! Today I'm sharing my very last layout created for JustNick. I've had a great time on Nicole's team working with her amazing cut file and am sad to say goodbye, but after two years it felt like the right thing to do. For today I used the beautiful "Floral Ring 3" cut file to create this fun spring layout of my daughter and our puppy:

Isn't this cut file beautiful?! I wanted to scrap these spring photos and thought this cut file was just perfect! I also use Crate Paper's Magical Forest collection with it's soft colors and fun designs:

I love how delicate the flowers and stems of the cut file are and I love that there are multiple circles:

Using the sewing machine I sewed over the circles three times for some extra texture. I just love the effect!

In the middle of the circle I placed two clusters with a small photo each and some die-cuts & stickers and connected these two clusters with another cluster right in the middle of the circle:

For the finishing touch I decided to add a few Nuvo drops instead of paint drops (what I normally do). I really love these Nuvo drops and don't understand I didn't use them before!

It's Springtime! | JustNick & Doodlebug Design

Hello friends! How are you all doing? I hope you're doing fine where ever you are! Today I'm sharing my latest JustNick layout with you. I created this fun and colorful page with one of the new Easter cut files called "Easter Egg Background" and some Doodlebug goodies.

and this is the cut file I used:

What I love about this cut file is that it's filled with many wonderful flowers which I backed with 9 or 10 different patterned papers. I used the 6" x 6" double sided paper pad from Doodlebug's Simply Spring collection for this and love the result.

Look how great these papers look behind this cut file! When I was finished adhering all the different papers behind the cut file I chose a tangerine colored cardstock paper for the background and only then did I decide on which photos & embellishments to use.

Obviously the photo(s) had to be from Easter or right before or after Easter. These photos were taken the day before Easter, when my bff (in the front of the photo) came over for a quick coffee. We hadn't seen each other for almost 5 weeks, which is quite a long time for us, and we really needed to catch up. So, because of the Corona virus, we sat outside on my garden wall, with one and a half meter between us, drinking coffee and talking a lot. Because of the beautiful weather (and the magnificent blooming tree in my front garden) we had a great time (although the situation remained really surreal).

Choosing embellishments wasn't very hard as Doodlebug's collection come with o many die-cuts and stickers, and look at the awesome sheep!

Next I wrote my journaling around the edge of the Easter egg and machine stitched around the edges of the background paper and here and there on my layout.

I really love the result. This cut file is so super cute and just perfect for this Spring collection from Doodlebug. Make sure to hop over to the store to grab this cut file or one of the many many others!

Hi friends, today I'm sharing my latest JustNick layout using the beautiful "Spring Florals 2" cut file and the Brie collection from Felicity Jane.

And this is the cut file I used:

Don't you agree it's awesome?! I adore it! I decided to cut this cut file from a sheet of white cardstock and leave it as it is. For the background of I used a sheet of "mustard" colored paper with white horizontal stripes and I think the stem with the flowers look great on top of this.

This time I chose to use two small (Polaroid) photos, sized 6 cm x 9 cm and placed these on the right side of the stem of the flower.

On the left side of the stem I added a few die-cuts, like the girl die-cut, because she looks a bit like my daughter. At the bottom of the stem I adhered a pretty striped bow.

Below the photos I wrote a few lines of journaling and above the photos I added the title, a few extra embellishments and three fabric flags at the top of the page.

Of course I added a bit of machine stitching and a few drops of white paint. I love how this turned out.

My Dream Wouldn't Be Complete | JustNick Studio

Hi friends! Last Tuesday I was up on JustNick's blog with a layout using this super cute "Floral Umbrella" cut file from JustNick Studio. When Echo Park's collection "Alice In Wonderland" was released I was one of the first to buy it. But when it arrived I didn't know what to use it for and it ended it up in my pile of scrapbook papers. This cut file made me think of that collection straight away, so I looked for some fun photos and got started. Here's what I made:

I enlarged the cut file a little and adhered lots of different patterned papers behind it:

I just love how this looks already! Now the fun part started! Don't get me wrong, I love backing cut files as well, I just love building my page more. I contemplated whether or not I shoud add watercolor paint behind the umbrella, but decided against it and to go with a clean white backgroud with only a couple of paint drops.

The place of the photo strip was easy, that had to come left of the umbrella shaft with a journaling card on the right. Next I only had to add some die-cuts and stickers. When I was done I decided to add a blue cardstock behind my page to add a bit more color.

Of course I machine stitched around my page, on the cut file and a bit here and there on my layout. 

I really love how this turned out.

I Love You Always | Monique Liedtke

Hi friends! I'm up on JustNick's blog sharing another heart layout with my Spaniel puppy as the subject of my love. The cut file I used for this page is called "Doodle Floral Heart Outline", my new favorite cut file!

This is the cut file I used, isn't it a beauty?!

Once again I used Doodlebug Design's "Love Notes" collection for my layout. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Doodlebug and adore the bright & happy colors and designs in this collection.

What I love about this cut file is the possibility to use lots of different papers to fill all the little spaces.

I used the 6" x 6" paper pad to fill all the flowers, but a 12" x 12" sheet to back the entire heart. I love the effect this gives, with the left half of the heart empty of any designs.

I just love stitching on all of my projects, so that's what I did here as well.

Hi friends! Today I'm up on JustNick's blog with this colorful layout using the super fantastic Radiating Background cut file! As soon as I saw this cut file I saw the finished layout in my head. I had just bought the new Doodlebug Design Love Notes collection and this cut file was so perfect for it! When it comes to Doodlebug I can never decide which papers I should use as I just adore them all. With this cut file I can use them all!! Here's what I made:

Isn't this cut file just perfect to use all those papers you love so much and that you don't have to choose between them? I adore it! Here are a few close-ups of some of the details of my page:

The papers glued behind the cut file all came from the 6"x 6" inch Doodlebug Love Notes paper pad and because all papers are double-sided I only needed 9 instead of 18 of the 6" x 6"sheets.

I thought about glue-ing different pieces of paper behind all the empty spaces in the cut file but decided against it, as I thought that would be too much of a good thing. I already used 18 different designs as it is.

I love the tiny enamel hearts in this collection and used them in the banner and in some of the flowers.

I love stitching on my pages,so that's what I did here as well. I stitched around the entire page and on some of the elements on my page, like on the "Hugs & Kisses" die-cut.

I love how easy it was to put this page together and I'm so happy with the result. Hope you like it too!
