Be Lead By Your Dreams - Webster's Pages - Scraptastic Store

Good morning everyone, today I want to share this layout about my daughter using the awesome “Dream In Color” collection from Webster’s Pages! How I adore this collection! The bright water colors are so very beautiful! and all those dreamy images! I thought I would have a hard time using this collection, but I found it so beautiful I ordered it anyway. And I was wrong, it wasn’t hard at all! In fact, it was super easy, this page came together in an hour (which is quick for me!).

I started with matting my photo on to some papers as well as on to some vellum. Next I chose the papers for the left side of the page, but before adhering these I used some pink water color paint so add a bit of soft color to the (too white) right side of my layout. I hate how this makes my layout buckle but when I was done I adhered it on one of those brown sturdy cardstock sheets Jessica always add to our orders and now my page looks 100% better!

I added bits and pieces of other collections to my layout, like the chipboard camera which came from the Crate Paper “Craft Market” collection and the gold arrow and the chipboard flowers which are from the I Am collection from Simple Stories. Next I added the mandatory machine stitching to my pages (my pages don’t feel finished without).

This quote is “made” for my daughter, she doesn’t even see problems, she just lives her dreams. So awesome! I wish I was a bit more like her sometimes!!

And here’s the supply list: Webster’s Pages – Dream In Color – Collection Kit; Webster’s Pages – Dream In Color – Storyteller II Paper; Webster’s Pages – Dream In Color – Dream In Color Paper; Webster’s Pages – Dream In Color – Dreaming Paper; Webster’s Pages – Dream In Color – What A Day Paper; Webster’s Pages – #Happy – Word Stickers; Webster’s Pages – #Happy – Sentiment Stickers; Webster’s Pages – #Happy – Keep It Real Vellum; Webster’s Pages – Dream In Color – Assorted Paperclips; Simple Stories – I Am – Enamel Dots; Simple Stories – I Am – Chipboard Stickers; Crate Paper – Craft Market – Standouts.

Imaginisce layout with brand new Heartland Farm collection!!

Good morning everyone! My Imaginisce layout using their new  "Heartland Farm" collection is up on their blog!! I'm so excited about the brand new collection! I love the bright colors, the super cute embellishments and the versatility of this collection!

For today's layout I chose a photo of my daughter's rabbit, called "Muffin". It's sad, but while my daughter was (is) away at High School in the US this rabbit passed away. Because my daughter was so upset about this, I decided to create this page for her.

I started with the large circle cut file and adhered several of the beautiful patterned papers behind it. Because of the round shape of the cut file I chose lots of circle die-cuts to embellish my page.

And also used my i-Top tool to create a couple of matching brads.

The round wood pieces were just perfect as well!

And although the carrot die-cut wasn't round, lol, it was made for my page!

The other die-cuts are just as awesome, like these flowers. I used some foam adhesive to add a bit of depth.

I really and truly love this new collection and am already working on my next project! I'm sure you'll love it too!

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned paper, cardstock die-cuts, wood piece (Heartland Farm), brad daddies 16mm and 22mm; American Crafts: cardstock, Thickers. Tools: Imaginisce I-Top tool, I-Top punch (16mm and 22mm). Other: Silhouette Cameo, 17turtles cut file.

A few images of this new collection:

Cute right?!!

The "love" cutting file I used is a free file from 17turtles.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I hope you enjoyed my project!

Cutie Pie - Pretty Little Studio

Hello everyone, I've got another Pretty Little Studio “You & Me” layout I want to share, but this time not a 12×12” but an 8.5×11” one. Last week my daughter went on a school trip to Disney World with all the seniors from her school and had such an awesome time! She sent me dozens of photos and I really adored this photo of her hugging Daisy Duck. The You & Me collection was just perfect to scrap this photo! I started out with the vellum sheet at the top of my layout and built my page from there downwards.

I always plan to add (more) journaling, but I find it always so hard to decide what to write and in the end it’s often not more than the where, when and who. In this case I added a little bit more, not much but it is a beginning!

PLS Products Used: You & Me collection: patterned paper; Bingo | You; Cut-Outs | Adore You Phrase Strips; Diecuts | Conversation Hearts; Feathers | Tickle Me; Diecuts | Butterfly #1; Word Art | Cutie Pie | 4“; Stickers | Cupid’s Arrow; Stickers | Valentine Words; Cut-Outs | LOVE Long Label Tags; Tabs | Together

Thanks for stopping by again today!

A Maggie Holmes layout for CREATE Magazine

Good morning everyone! Today I thought I'd share the last layout I created for the March issue of CREATE magazine! This layout was done for the "Sketch Challenge".

I really loved the sketch and kept pretty close to it. I often struggle with sketches with more photos, so this one was just perfect. Instead of using one large tag I chose to use two smaller ones. This was inspired by the  Crate Paper collection I used: the Open Book collection from Maggie Holmes came with these fun stitched tags and I definitely wanted to use those.

I also replaced the row of tickets from the sketch with a few other embellishments I adored. That’s what I love about sketches, you can always adjust them to your liking.

I really love the embellishments that belong to this collection!

Supplies:
patterned paper, stickers, die-cuts, ribbon tags, rub ons: Crate Paper; cardstock: Bazzill Basics; wood veneers: Scraptastic Club; paper clip, die-cuts: American Crafts; transparency: My Mind’s Eye; twine: The Twinery; stamping ink: Memento; mists: Studio Calico; stamps: Trodat; other: staples: Tim Holtz

And this is the sketch the layout is based upon:

Spring layout - Imaginisce

Good morning everyone! For Imaginisce I created this Spring layout using the fabulous "Welcome Spring" collection. I had this cute photo of my youngest son learning to walk on stilts one beautiful Spring morning in May 2013. He was so utterly proud of himself when he managed to walk down the garden path! He called us all over to show us how many steps he could walk, we all had to count with him, hence the numbers background cut file I used.

Except for the "Welcome Spring" collection I also used one of Imaginisce's tools for my layout: the "I-Score & Pierce" tool. First I used it to pierce holes in my paper to stitch the buttons:

And then I used it to create a little embossed line in this punched butterfly to fold it neatly, so I could create a 3D butterfly:

The "I-Score & Pierce" tool has four tools all in one: there are 4 tips: a 1mm piercing tip, a 4mm piercing tip, a 1.5mm embossing tip and a 2.0mm tip. The tool has an easy push button to easily switch over to the other tips:

I'm so happy I found this tool, because, apart from it being very handy indeed, it's also of a beautiful pink color. It's not that I like the color pink so very much, but more because now it stands out in my overflowing craft tote and I can easily find it! Both my old piercing tool and embossing tool are of a metallic color and I could never find them in my tote!

Here's one last close-up photo before I give you the supply list:

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned paper, cardstock die-cuts, die-cut journaling tags (Welcome Spring); American Crafts: cardstock, Thickers. Tools: Imaginisce I-Score & Pierce tool.
Other: Silhouette Cameo, numbers cut file from 17turtles, bunny cut file from Lori Whitlock.

Another Doodlebug layout for the March issue of CREATE Magazine!

Good morning everyone! Today I thought I'd share another layout I created for the March issue of CREATE magazine! This layout was done for the "Manufacturer Challenge" and because Doodlebug is the featured manufacturer for this issue, I did a Doodlebug layout.

Ever since I started scrapbooking more than 11 years ago I have been (and always will be) in love with everything Doodlebug! I still have items in my stash from the early days with which I will never part. I adore their vibrant colors, their super cute designs (those owls!) and all the embellishments they create for every collection. I’m so lucky to have been on Doodlebug’s design team for more than two years and because of that I still have a lot of their product to create with, although I also bought some new collections like “Friendly Forest” I’m using here.

My youngest loves to eat french fries when we're shopping in the city centre, and once in a while I give in ... (there's one condition: I get to take a pic!).

How I adore Doodlebug's little owls!

Supply list: patterned paper, stickers, enamel arrows, die-cuts: Doodlebug Design; cardstock: Bazzill Basics; ink: Memento; stamp: Trodat; digital cut file: Kerri Bradford Studio; staples: V&D; pen: K&Company.

If you haven't checked out the new issue (#13) of CREATE Magazine as yet, it's definitely worth your while to hop over!!

Thank you so much for stopping by again today!

Pretty Little Studio & Tombow Blog Hop !!

Hi everyone! Welcome to day 2 of the Tombow USA and Pretty Little Studio Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Jennifer Priest's blog you're in the right place! But if you happened to stumble across my blog then you may want to go to the Tombow USA Blog to start at the beginning of the hop!

For today's blog hop I created two projects both using Pretty Little Studio's "You & Me" collection. My first project is a card for all occasions. Because I wanted to make sure it wouldn't fall apart in the mail I used "Tombow Xtreme Permanent Adhesive" to glue all the layers together, but because of the delicate nature of the doilies I used the "Stamp Runner, Dot Pattern Adhesive" for these.

Isn't the "Perfect Match" 3x4 card with the owls super cute?

Now onto my next project, a layout with my 2 eldest children. I love these photos as they show how well they get on together now they are older (when they were young, they would quarrel quite a lot!).
To glue all the papers I used the "Stamp Runner, Dot Pattern Adhesive", this all in one adhesive is initially repositionable, but sets to a permanent bond.

Then, to adhere the "Cupid's Arrow" flair button I used the Tombow Xtreme Permanent Adhesive, to adhere the deer diecut the "foam tabs" and to adhere the wood veneer I used the wonderful "MONO Multi Liquid Glue":

And here's what you can win. To win, visit and comment on the participating blog posts. You have until April 14 at 11:59 EST to comment. A winner will be picked randomly and announced on April 15, 2015.
