Hello America - Imaginisce

Hi everyone! For today's "patriotic" feature on Imaginisce's blog I created this fun layout of my daughter celebrating her imminent departure for the USA with one of her best friends.

I started my layout with a large cut file of a star and adhered red and blue papers from the Par-r-rty Me Hearty collection behind it. Next I placed the 4 small photos in different ways on the background and decided I liked the angled look best.

Next I cut a large title also from the Par-r-rty Me Hearty collection and decorated my layout with die-cuts, puffy stickers and wood veneers from both the Happy Traveler and the Par-r-rty Me Hearty collection.

For the finishing touch I added a few drops of color mist and some machine stitching. Hope you like it!

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, puffy stickers (Par-r-rty Me Hearty), die-cut shapes, wood veneers, puffy stickers (Happy Traveler), alpha stickers (Sunny collection). American Crafts: cardstock. Other: Silhouette Cameo; cut files: star cut file: Studio Calico, "America": Silhouette Store #8529, "hello": Jillibean Soup.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today! Have a great day!

Bonjour Barcelona - Pretty Little Studio

For Pretty Little Studio's “Feature Friday” we were asked to feature (patterned) paper and I created this layout using many strips of different papers cut from the designer collection from Heather Adams “Here + There”. I cut a whole lot of 8″ strips of different widths and adhered them vertically in the middle of my page. I matted my photo and placed this more or less in the middle and added a cut file title.

Next I added lots of vellum strips randomly on top of the paper strips (not exactly random as I had to think hard and long were I would place them, lol) and used my sewing machine to add some stitching. Next came the tags, the die-cuts and the flair buttons.

Last but not least I added a couple of paint drops and I was done!

PLS products used: Hello Heather, Here + There collection: paper: Here+ There 8×8 pack, Love Gold Metallic, Bonjour, Capture, Coffee Shop, Les Fleurs, Posh; Vellum: Jadore; Die-Cuts: Bonjour Words, Heart of Gold, Here; Flair: Adventure; Cut Apart: Posh Labels; Stickers: Vellum Tape Lovely.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog to take a peek at my project!

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday - Imaginisce

For yesterday's post on Imaginisce's blog I created a birthday layout using the awesome Par-r-rty Me Hearty collection. I used photos from quite a while ago, from way back when my oldest son turned 5 (next week he'll be 17!). I love to scrap these old photos as I have only a handful scrapbook pages from that time. I combined the boy and girl collection for this layout, because my daughter features in it as well.

And here are a few close-ups: I just love the huge festive octopus with the cup cake, present and balloon.

And how about the puffy gems? Aren't they lovely?

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a large number 5 and the word "birthday" and added some Thickers and stickers to decorate them:

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, die-cut shapes, stickers, puffy stickers (Par-r-rty Me Hearty). American Crafts: cardstock, Thickers. Other: Silhouette Cameo and cut file from Amanda Robinson.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by my blog to take a look. Have a great day!

Daily Doodles Doodlebug - May Birthday Calendar

Hi everyone, on Doodlebug's blog we're featuring calendars/planners the Daily Doodles collection. These calendar pages are so versatile and there are so many ways in which you can use them! I decided to create a new birthday calendar as I've been wanting to create a new one for ages now (as my current one is 30 years old!), but for one reason or another I just never seemed to find the time, until now. So here's what I did for the month of May:

As I plan to use this calendar for at least 10 years I got started by covering up the days of the week. Next I printed little photos of my hubby, one of my sons, my father in law and a nephew, who all have their birthdays in May. I adhered the numbers using different colors of Teensy Type stickers. I used lots of my favorite Doodlebug washi tape, strips of paper, lots of stickers and a couple of those adorable ladybug shape sprinkles. Almost everything I used comes from the awesome Spring Garden collection

I had such a great time decorating! I mean, how super cute are those little birdie stickers and that washi tape with ladybugs?? I'm so in love with everything Doodlebug!!

For extra dimension I added a couple of mini doodle-pops .... yes, more ladybugs! Loving all the ladybugs on my calendar!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I have inspired you to create something with these fun and versatile daily doodles pages as well! Happy Crafting!

Winner Scrap Our Stash Blog Hop Giveaway and a Scraptastic Club layout!

Good winner everyone!! First of all, I promised you a winner for the "Scrap Our Stash" blog hop!! I used the Random Number Generator to choose the winner. Without further ado ... congratulations to number 19: Rose Santuci-Sofranko!! Please send me your address and I'll send you the Echo Park stamp & die set to you a.s.a.p.!

Thank you so much everyone for joining in the giveaway and for leaving me all those sweet comments!

Next I've got a layout to share I created for Kay's and my challenge at Scraptastic Club's blog "use geometric shapes on your project". I decided to use lots of square photos on my layout (instead of just the one photo, what I normally do) and printed them in a lot of different (square) sizes. I used the April “Eloise” kit and add-on, filled with Amy Tangerine's "Better Together" collection.

I adhered all the photos in the top half of my layout and cut two journaling cards from one of the exclusive Scraptastic Club papers designed by Kaitlin Sheaffer and adhered these at the bottom of my page. Next I decorated my layout using one of the acrylic words, some of the clear stickers, flower die-cuts, a word sticker and a bit of Amy Tangerine washi tape:

Although I don’t often use so many photos on one layout, I really love the result. Hope you do too!

Hop over to Scraptastic's blog to see what Kay created for this challenge!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Hugs,

Imaginisce May Sketch Challenge

Time for yet another sketch challenge! (It's a good thing I adore sketch challenges, lol!) This time it's Imaginsice's sketch challenge for which Laura designed an awesome sketch! Here's what I created using Imaginisce's Sunny collection and photos from our swamp tour in Louisiana last year:

I think this "crab" paper is soooo perfect for photos from Louisiana!! I just had to use it!
Here're a few close-ups of my layout. Love the sticker stackers and (clear) die-cuts in this collection!

One of the challenge rules was to use twine or ribbon, so I used some of American Crafts' twine to wind around my photos and to adhere to my tags:

And of course I used my Silhouette Cameo, in this case to create the title and the arrow:

Today I thought I'd share the latest sketch from Stuck?! Sketches. Yesterday a new sketch went up and here's what I created using the "Free Spirit" collection from Cocoa Vanilla (which I found at a Dutch scrap store "Bij Oma Dee"):

As soon as I saw this collection I knew it would be perfect to scrap the Prom photos of my daughter and her friends! The colors of all 4 dresses can be found in these papers!

And a few close-ups:

And this is the new Stuck?! Sketches sketch:

Teacher Appreciation Door Hanger Boxes - Imaginisce

Hi everyone, for "Teacher Appreciation Day" (May 3rd) Cari asked the Imaginisce design team to create a little something. As I don't know of any such day here in The Netherlands I thought I would create a "thank you" gift for my youngest's teachers, seeing as the school year is slowly nearing the end. My son has two fabulous teachers, whom he has had for two years in a row, so we definitely want to thank them for their continuing support and inspiration over the last two years. We (not just my son, but my husband and I too) are going to miss them!

So here's what I did: I created two 3D door hanger "boxes" in which we put some chocolates. Of course they would also be perfect for any other kind of (little) present: a set of pens or pencils, a small plant or maybe even a (Starbucks )coffee cup:

I mainly used the "Happy Traveler" collection to decorate the door hangers because I felt the die-cuts in this collection were just perfect (like the tags and the tickets).

I used both my Silhouette Cameo and my Coluzzle circle cutter to create the door hangers and to smooth the edges I also used the Imaginisce D-Stress tool:

Here're a few more detail photos:

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, die-cut shapes, wood veneers (Happy Traveler), die-cut and word strip stickers (Sunny collection). American Crafts: cardstock. Tools: Imaginisce D-Stress Tool. Other: 3D door box cut file: Silhouette Store #58494.

Are you going to create a little something for your kid's teacher?? If so, I would love to learn what it is!

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today! Have a great day!
