Set of Baby Cards using Pebbles Lullaby Collection

Hi everyone! Last week I shared this pair of super sweet bottle shaped baby cards on Pebbles' blog. I used Pebbles' Lullaby collection and in the Silhouette shop I found a cute bottle cut file (Lori Whitlock #55801). I really love how they turned out!

The cards measure 4″ x 5.5″. I cut the base for the cards from American Crafts white cardstock. Choosing the patterned papers and the die-cuts wasn’t easy. They are all so awesome that it took me quite a while to make a choice which ones to use! And don’t you just adore those matching Thickers?!

Because I knew who the boys card was for, I could use the fun Thickers:

I really loved the look of the gingham pattern and as it’s so easy to combine with any die-cut I chose that for the bottle. I added the name of my nephew with the stork die-cut below. I doodled a line around the edge and would a bit of twine around the neck of the bottle. After adding three enamel shapes (from the Fun in the Sun collection) I declared my card finished!

I kept to the same concept for the baby girl card, but chose different patterned papers. Because I don’t know yet who the card is for, I kept it more neutral and chose the “oh baby” die-cut:

Aren’t they adorable?!

Here’s a list of supplies I used:

Lullaby Ephemera Cardstock Die-Cuts 40/pkg Baby Boy (733515)

Love You & Love Coffee

Today I'm sharing a layout I created for The Cut Shoppe using the fabulous "Heart Felt" cut file from The Cut Shoppe's Etsy Store. I really adore this cut file and could use it over and over again. Today I chose a photo of my youngest making me coffee ... this is one of the first times he's doing that so that had to be documented. Normally I'm the one making him a hot chocolate, but today he wanted to do something in return. He's such a sweet kid!! The Healthy Hello Soup collection from Jillibean Soup was perfect, with it's coffee cups papers and die-cuts.

The Heart Felt cut file is really a background cut file but cut in a smaller size it's just as awesome!

A few close-ups:

I created my layout on a sheet of white AC cardstock, but when I was finished with my page I found the result a bit too white and decided to use my SC water color paint to color the inside of the hearts in a light yellow. Love the result!

And don't you just love these cup die-cuts from Jillibean Soup?!

I added some random machine stitching and my page was done! Hope you like it!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! Don't forget to have a look in The Cut Shoppe's Etsy Store for many more beautiful cut files!

Like For Ever March Keepsake Kit Inspiration | Hello Greece

Hello everyone, it's time to share my 3rd layout created with the beautiful like for ever March Keepsake Kit! For this layout I decided to do some fussy cutting. This is not something I do very often, but I felt so inspired by many of the kit subscribers who often post beautiful layouts in our Facebook group with fussy cut elements on them. I really love those layouts and thought it was high time I give it a try too. Here’s what I did:

I fussy cut a few large and a few smaller flowers from one of Crate Paper’s Chasing Dreams papers ‘Garden Club’. From some of the flowers I cut the leaves off, but I also wanted a little bit of green so some of the leaves had to stay:

I really like the result but I did not find this an easy technique! I couldn’t do this without my reading glasses and even then I was squinting a lot at what I was doing, lol!

I took this photo of my daughter in Greece last year. I just love using those old Greek houses and doors as a backdrop for my photos. As I wanted the blue of the door to feature in my layout I matted the photo onto a piece of blue paper cut from the Chasing Dreams ‘Memories’ paper (not easy as I adore the cameras on the other side of this paper as well!). I also found a tag with some blue on it (from the Chasing Dreams ‘Adventure’ paper) and the text was perfect too, so that had to be included as well:

For the title I used the fun Thickers and one of the die-cuts from the kit:

After some machine sewing and a few drops of paint my layout was done! Hope you like it!

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek at my project! For more "like for ever" projects from the design team please hop over to their blog! Wishing you a sunny day!

My Creative Scrapbook - Gelatos - Step By Step

Hi everyone! For My Creative Scrapbook I created this step-by-step tutorial using the March Main Kit and my Gelatos. It was posted on the blog of My Creative Scrapbook a couple of days ago, so it's possible you already saw it, but I wanted to post it here as well. I adore the Pebbles "Simple Life" collection that features in this month's kit and which is perfect for so many kinds of photos! For today I chose photos of my two eldest children who both graduated last year.

I love using Gelatos on my layouts, but don't like it when my papers get all wrinkly. So what I often do is using them on a separate piece of white cardstock and using (parts of) that on my page, like I did here with the banners you see on the right side:

Let me show you quickly what I did. I selected some of the patterned papers I thought I would use and grabbed my craft sheet and my Gelatos. I chose 3 colors that coordinated with my papers and photos:

I placed the craft sheet on the table and with the Gelatos I drew lots of lines directly on the sheet.

Using a Mini Mister I sprayed some water over it:

With a brush I mixed the water and the Gelatos. If you start with the lightest color and end with the darkest color you don't need to clean your brush in between (in this case first orange, then green and then blue):

Next I placed a sheet of white cardstock on top and with my hand I brushed over the back of the sheet so the paint would spread evenly over the cardstock:

After turning the cardstock around it looked like this:

As soon as the paint had dried I cut the cardstock in three large strips:

I cut three triangles out of one side and played around with them a bit, thinking where to place them.

After deciding on a design for my layout I adhered my patterned papers and adhered the three Gelatos banners on the right side of my page, partly overlapping each other:

And that's it! Next I matted my largest photo and adhered it in the top right corner of my layout, half on the banner and a smaller one on the left side of the first photo and started decorating using all the fabulous die-cuts and (puffy)stickers from the kit:

From the Pink Paislee letter stickers package I used the beautiful gold letter stickers to create a title:

I really adore the Pebbles puffy stickers! They add that bit of extra dimension to my layout.

After machine stitching along the sides of the layout as well as doing some random stitching and writing a bit of journaling my layout was finished! Hope you like it!

Class of 2016 - like for ever kit club

Last weekend we had a "virtual retreat" weekend at like for ever and I created this layout for one of Laura Rumble's awesome sketches using the March "Keepsake" kit and little bits of the April kit (details coming soon!):

The papers are from the Chasing Dreams collection from Maggie Holmes and were just perfect for my daughter's graduation photo.

This is Laura Rumble's sketch:

And here are a few close-ups:

I placed the acetate sheet with the gold dots over my background paper and the hearts (which made it hard to take a good picture of my page!). The rest of my page was adhered on top of the acetate sheet (also from the Chasing Dreams collection).

I just adore this fabric heart, which is also from the Chasing Dreams collection, but part of the April kit:
