Oranje Boven!

The new sketch from Little Shop of Sketches is up!! a bit late but better late than never! For my layout I used photos from our family weekend away. My MIL bought these orange (soccer) t-shirts for the 5 youngest grandchildren and they loved it!

Paper, butterfly and flowers are from Prima marketing, craft envelop is from Maya Road, clock is from Heidi Swapp, stamps (on the tag and the journaling label) are from myStampBOX (the "your story" set), the alpha letters are from MLS.

En dit is Tanya's schets:
and this is Tanya's sketch:

Mocht je willen zien wat de andere DT leden ervan gemaakt hebben, ga dan even naar het blog van Little Shop of Sketches!!

If you want to see the layouts of the other DT members please hop over to the Little Shop of Sketches blog.

De Griezels / The Twits

For the week 4 challenge from My Little Shoebox (create a layout with Flying High) I created this page about Timothy who featured in "The Twits", a play from Roald Dahl with lots of animals inlcuding birds. As Timothy was one of the birds who got caught in the glue in the tree, the papers from the Flying High line were just perfect for these photos!! If you're not familiar with this book from Roald Dahl then I highly recommend it to you!!

So here's my layout:

I incorparated Timothy's invitation in my layout but had to cut it in little pieces because it was too big. I cut out the text and misted it before I used it and then I cut out the "creeps" Tim had drawn and placed them on my page as well.

Het gele vogeltje had ik net besteld bij My Little Bit of Whimsy en kwam gelijk perfect van pas!

The little birdie pin I just ordered from My Little Bit of Whimsy was the perfect finishing touch!

Roald Dahl is errug leuk!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and hope to see you again soon!

Fijn weekend!! Enjoy your weekend!!

Sketch 70, The Scrappiest

I don't know what it is about May and June but in our household it's the busiest time of the year.... we have dozens of birthday parties (our own & friends & family & even Jippie, our dog, has her birthday in May!), Timothy has his soccercamp, all three kids have lots of end of schoolterm festivities and the house is a mess!! It just doesn't matter how hard I work or how early I rise I never get on top of things...:-(

So this year we have no choice but to celebrate Timothy's birthday party after the summer holidays. His birthday was on the 19th of May but as of that date there never has been one free Saturday or Sunday we could have his party. Patrick suggested a Wednesday afternoon.... and I know why, because he'll be in the UK! So no, no Wednesday afternoon! I'm not doing it on my own! Timothy is disappointed of course, but says he understands (he's so sweet) .... and I feel totally inadequate :-(

Last Saturday I did find one spare moment to scrap though and here's what I made with Liz' new sketch:

The photos are from the warm Saturday two weeks ago and these Echo Park papers fit perfectly. The Cosmo Cricket spinner card is from a very old Nook kit I found again!!
And here's the sketch from Liz:

If you want to win a kit from Scrapbookdeals4U then give this sketch a try and link it to the blog post at The Scrappiest!! Can't wait to see what you create!!

And now I'm going to walk the dog and then off to bed!!!
Good night, Monique

After 7 years scrapping at the dining room table we finally decided I needed a "corner" of my own!! We went to Ikea and bought some Expedit cupboards and a desk and look what I've got now!!!!

It's not quite finished yet, but you'll get the general idea!! I'm sooooo happy with it!!!!

Ik ben er echt SUPER blij mee!!!!

Monique

BFF and such a lovely, sunny day!!

First of all I want to share the layout I made for Liz from The Scrappiest. This is her new sketch:

and this is my take on it:

I wanted to do something a bit different with my edge punch and in the end I decided to just punch away! What do you think of the result??? I rather like it!!

And of course here some closeups of the details:

Materials I used: cardstock: Bazzill, pp: AC/Dear Lizzy, embellishments: AC/Dear Lizzy, photo mat: page from Creative Café mini album, stamps from AC/Dear Lizzy and myStampBOX (seal it-set), sewing machine & Zig writer!!

If you want to see what my co-dt members created, hop over to the blog of The Scrappiest!! and if you decide to join us you may even win a kit from Scrapbookdeals4U, but don't forget to link your layout to the correct post!!

Were your Friday and Saturday just as warm and sunny as in The Netherlands?? We've been waiting a long time for this weather and when it finally came the kids (and mum) were super happy!! They've been playing with water for two days on end!!!

At the end of the week they will choose a challenge winner who will win a $20 value prize package from MLS! The winner will have a chance to win the grand prize of $200 MLS products!!!!

The challenge for week 1 is "Lil' Critter" and because I still have lots of MLS scraps lying on my scraptable I started creating straight away!!!

Here's layout I made:

and a collage of the details:

Except for the MLS Lil' Critter line I used Bazzill and glimmermist, furthermore lots of punches! The title is done with my Diesel and Aquarius QK alphabets in combination with the mini alpha's from MLS!!
And of course I used my sewing machine again!
