The very first layout I created for "Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge" is a very bright and cheerful layout using photos from our holiday in Greece last year.
This is the sketch Anne sent the design team to work with:
and this is my layout:
I used the "Sweet Summertime" line from Little Yellow Bicycle, with some fun corrugated cardstock elements from Lily Bee, some Doodlebug twine, mini alpha stickers from My Little Shoebox and Thickers from American Crafts.
Some close-ups:
I really loved this first challenge for AFSC! If you want to see what the other dt members made, hop over to the AFSC blog. What I would love is for you to join us and create a layout with this fun sketch too!!
Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back soon!
Btw, if you want to see some of our summer holiday photos then please come back tomorrow!

A new Design Team & a Dutch Dares layout!
As of July I'm part of the Design Team of ANOTHER FREAKING SCRAPPY CHALLENGE!!!! How fab is that!! Thanks Anne for having me, LOL!!
In case you haven't heard of them before, here's a bit about this challenge blog: "We post two challenges each month. Our challenge month begins on the 30th of the month before - ??? Well, on the 30th of the month we post a prompt challenge that participants can play along with until the 14th of the following month. On the 15th of the month, they can play along with a sketch challenge that they can play along with until the 29th of the month. There is one prize offered for a lucky participant of the month's two challenges.
Other than our two challenges, we are all about sharing, recognizing each other, having good friends, and having fun. Each Monday we feature "monday's mentions" - where we recognize accomplishments of our participants and members from the previous week. Each Friday we share links to awesome scrappy stuff we have seen that might interest the other members."
Hope you'll find it just as fun as I find it and you'll play along!!!
And now on to my next topic .... the new challenge at the Dutch Dares is up!
The dare this month is: "10 things I want to do in the next ... year / 5 years / 10 years"
Here's my layout:
And some close-ups:
Supplies: October Afternoon "9 to 5".
If you feel like scrapping this summer holiday, why not give it a go? Maybe you'll win the monthly RAK or will you be our next guest designer? If you hop over to the Dutch Dares blog you can read more about the conditions, but also have a look at the creations of the other designers!
This is it for today! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs,
Monique
