Scraptastic Pinterest Monday - Heartbeats kit

Hi everyone! Last week Leanne and I teamed up for another Pinterest Monday on Scraptastic Club's blog to bring you some inspiration based on these Pinterest images. We both used the awesome Heartbeats kit and add-on:

I really love these Pinterest images, especially the one with the letters! So I decided to start right there, using the letters as an inspiration for my title. I got out the Freckled Fawn wood veneer alphas from the Heartbeats add-on and used these as a mask. I sprayed some gold color mist over them and removed them again. Love the result!

The title is about my daughter, who fell in love with the United States at the age of 9 when we spent our very first summer vacation there. After that vacation she would regularly tell us that one time she would love to live in the US. We kept telling her that it wasn't very likely that that was going to happen, but she proofed us wrong! Right now she's living in Louisiana as a foreign exchange student and she loves it! She left last August and won't return until June next year! I can't begin to tell you how proud I am of her!

And some more close-ups: isn't this Maggie Holmes deer clip from the add-on kit super cute?!

And then this one: I don't know if you noticed, but the background paper is actually a map and I adhered the Amy Tangerine heart sticker and the flair with the hear right above Louisiana, then I also used the puffy arrow stickers from Evalicious to indicate the place on the map where my daughter is.

If you want to see what Leanne did with these Pinterest images then hop over to Scraptastic's blog! I'm sure you'll love her page!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Merry Christmas to You!! and 2 more Pretty Little Studio Christmas pages

First of all "MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!"
Hope y'all have a wonderful time with family and friends!!

And just because I have some free time on my hands (my sis and her family and my dad and his wife just left) I thought I would share two more Christmas pages with you, both made with some Pretty Little Studio stuff.

For this first layout (which was up on the PLS blog last Monday) I found my inspiration on Pinterest. When I have 5 minutes to spare I often browse through all the wonderful pins on Pinterest and when I saw this one by “Manu” (http://www.pinterest.com/pin/230668812139993475/)  I knew immediately what I wanted to do.

And some close-ups of course:
I started my Christmas tree with these Pretty Little Studio Santa stickers and simply adhered them to my page row by row. To make sure they would be in a straight line I adhered them to my ruler first and then stuck them down.

For the finishing touch I added the star sticker, the flair, die-cut and word. Next I proceeded building my page, starting with the photo and the layers beneath it (love the vellum!), then the little banner, the word flags, the paint splatter, the hearts and stars stickers and the wood veneers.

And I really love this charm! Can't remember who it's from, the twine is from The Twinery.

I finished my page off with some machine stitching. Without the stitching my projects never feel “finished”. And that’s it, hope you like it!

PLS Products Used:
- Nature Walk Collection: Patter Paper (Mint Stripe)
- Holiday Cheer Collection: Paper Ribbons, Vellum (stars), Pattern Paper (red stripe, blue snow, Christmasvillage), Tree Die-cut
- Christmas at Home Collection: Santa Stickers (hexegon), Word Stickers, Document Christmas Word Flags
- Woodland Christmas Collection: Flair (magical)

And my second Pretty Little Studio Christmas page was created for the "Polaroid Feature" of December 19th and has a also a Xmas tree shape in it:

I was so happy I got this assignment as I adore all the polaroid cards!! For my page I used the “Christmas Cheer Polaroid Frames” from the new “Santa Claus” collection and an older one from my “Christmas at Home” stash. There are so many fun polaroids to choose from that I had a hard time limiting myself to only 3! In order to use more than one polaroid card I came up with this “Christmas Tree” design for my layout, so that I could use multiple cards! What I find a huge advantage of these cards is that all the word flags fit perfectly in the white space! I used my Tiny Attacher to fasten the word flags to achieve a bit of a playful look.

The digital die-cuts: "Christmas", "HoHoHo" and the star in the circle are all from 17turtles!

And how cute is this flair button?!!

Love this cute polaroid:

For this page I used a lot of PLS goodies from these four collections: Christmas at Home, Woodland Christmas, Holiday Cheer and Marigold.

Okay this is enough for today, going back to the Christmas festivities!

Wishing you a fabulous Christmas once again! Hope to see you back soon!
Hugs,

Scraptastic Store: Merry Christmas - Chickaniddy Crafts

Hi everyone! Quickly popping in to share a layout with you using Chickaniddy's "Jolly Good" collection. This collection caught my eye straight away, because it's so colorful and the designs are so super cute! All the pages are double sided and I really had a hard time choosing which side of the paper I would use! What was so awesome as well, were the strips of patterned paper at the bottom of every sheet!

If you want to have a closer look at this collection, then you can find the entire collection in Scraptastic's store HERE.

The collection was perfect for this picture of my son in his Christmas attire ready for the school Christmas party:

Love this cute deer:

These colors and images make me so happy!! and adore the enamel stickers:

Here's what I used for my page: Chickaniddy Jolly Good Collection Kit; Die Cuts: Chickaniddy Jolly Good Die Cut Tags; Stickers: Chickaniddy Jolly Good Mini Sticker Sentiments, Chickaniddy Jolly Good Alpha Stickers; Enamel Stars: Chickaniddy Jolly Good Enamel Stars

Hope you liked my page and that I've inspired you to create a colorful Christmas layout too!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

Stocking Utensil Holders - Pebbles

Hi everyone!! Maybe you've already seen this project of mine, as I shared this on Imaginisce's blog a couple of days ago. If not, then you're in right place as here it is again!

Are you in the Christmas spirit like me?! I bet you are! If you’ve still got time to create a little something and you’re in need for something for your Christmas table, then maybe this project is something for you.

I’ve made 5 “personal” Christmas stockings for cutlery/utensils for your Christmas breakfast/lunch/dinner … ! It’s an easy and quick project and although I used my Silhouette Cameo to create it, there’s absolutely no need to do this too.

All you need is a template of a stocking and a sewing machine! You probably all know that Imaginisce belongs to the big American Crafts family as does Pebbles. And this month we received the fabulous “Home For Christmas” collection from Pebbles to play with. I was super happy about this, as I love Pebbles too!!! And in particular their Christmas collection!!

What I love about this collection (apart from the awesome patterned paper designs) are the “Chips”! There are so many of them in a little bag and they are all so super cute!! Like that snowman or the elf!!

Thanks for letting me share!! Have a fabulous Christmas everyone!!
xoxo

And then, when I was finished with that layout I thought why not do a card as well ... so here it is:

and a close-up of the cut files I used:

Scraptastic Sketchy Thursday!

It's time for another "Sketchy Thursday" at Scraptastic Club!! I've used the "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" kit and add-on, which I absolutely adore! (but I think I say that about every kit, lol).
Here it is:

The photos were taken last Sunday, when we were putting up the tree. Tim is playing with fire and Mats is very happy to have found the Nutcracker again!

Love these glitter bows:

Also using some digital cut files (Presents Under The Tree) from 17turtles.

And this is Susan's sketch for December: super fun, don't you agree?

The "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" kit and it's add-on are still available. So if you want one, hurry over to the store to secure one for yourself!!
