Adore You - Pretty Little Studio

If you're here for the giveaway, please go HERE!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

Today I want to share a Pretty Little Studio layout created with the “You & Me” collection. The colors of this collection are so beautiful that every time I start a project this collection calls my name! I could use it for every single project!

For this layout I chose a photo of my 3 kids waiting for the bus to take us to the airport where we’ll board a plane to New York. They were so super excited, I just had to scrap this photo.

I used a digital cut file from The Cut Shoppe and placed 3 different patterned papers behind the hearts. I just cut the patterned paper in 3 circles in 3 different sizes and adhered these to the back of my white cardstock. Next I placed this on a sheet of pink cardstock so the last circle of hearts (the largest) was colored pink. I matted my photo and added a few diecuts (beautiful feathers, an adorable birdie, the word LOVE and a couple of hearts), a flair, some word strips and a few ink splatters and machine stitching and I was done! I really love how this turned out! Hope you do too.

Pretty Little Studio products used: You & Me Collection: Patterned Paper, Diecuts: confetti hearts, hi birdie, feathers: tickle me, Word Art: Love, Flair button: my deer, Phrase Strips: Adore You, Word Flags: Love Story, Stickers: Valentine Words

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Scraptastic Store: Simple Stories I AM - Meeting Julie & Some Webster's Planner Fun

Good morning everyone! For the Scraptastic Club Store I created another Simple Stories “I Am” layout which I want to share here too: in June last year when I went to London I got to see my very good friend Julie again, after not seeing each other for at least 4 years! We had such a wonderful time that I just had to scrap this event! In this photo she’s showing my dd and me around town in a real “black cab”! It was so fun, she just told the driver "go there, wait here, drive slowly ... etc". It was amazing! and then after half an hour she asked the driver to drop us off at a convenient bus stop and we switched to one of those red double-decker buses you see so many of in London and the rest of the tour we were on one of those buses. Fabulous!!

I really adore the I Am collection; it has so many awesome prints, gold accents and fun embellishments!

I also love all the different letter stickers that come with this collection. I got the collection kit and one of it’s sticker sheets contains no less than 4 different alpha stickers!

And those wood veneers are just perfect too!

Supplies: Simple Stories I Am collection

And because I just couldn’t put everything away when I was finished with my layout, I decided to dress up my brand new Webster’s Pages planner! This is actually my very first attempt at decorating a planner, so please bear with me!

I used the washi tape, (chipboard & cardstock) stickers, paper clip, photo stickers and Sn@p! Cards to brighten up week 13! I also used one of those fun Freckled Fawn paper clips.

Supplies: Webster’s Pages – Color Crush Personal Planners – Binder Only Dark Pink; Simple Stories – I Am – Collection Kit; Simple Stories – I Am – Washi Paper Tape; Simple Stories – I Am – Sn@p! Cards; Freckled Fawn – Paper Clips – Short Pink Arrows;

Love how this turned out! And you? Have you been bitten by the “planner bug” too? I would love to know as I just created a "Planner Love" board on Pinterest and need more pins! And if you're looking for inspiration, maybe hop over to my Planner Love board on Pinterest!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today! Have a fabublous day!

SCRAPPING OUR STASH BLOG HOP!! - GIVEAWAY INCLUDED!

Welcome to the Scrapping Our Stash Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog! I hope you're enjoying the hop so far! If you've arrived here from the awesome Suzanna Lee you're in the right place! If not, you may want to go to the start of the hop: Jennifer Haggerty.

This is the very first time I'm joining in the "Scrapping Our Stash" blog hop and I hope there will be many more to come, as my stash is huge!

Here's what I created for today's hop, using a very old Pink Paislee collection "Hometown Summer". I love(d) this collection so much I just hung on to it, but now it had gotten all dusty and the colors started to fade a bit around the edges, so I thought it was high time I used it:

I also used the "Circles within Circles" digital cutfile from the 17turtles shop, as these circles so perfectly repeat the circle of that "thing" my son is standing in in the photo (it's actually a part from a pop-up tent).

The circle stamp is one of my favorite stamps and is from Scraptastic Club

I just adore the colors, stickers, chipboard pieces & die-cuts in this collection! I'm so happy I finally used it!

And this is the 17turtles "Circles Within Circles" cut file I used:

Project Life Spread - Pretty Little Studio

Hi everyone! Last Friday was another “Feature Friday” on Pretty Little Studio's blog and we were featuring journaling cards. I thought it would be nice to create a Project Life instead of a layout for once. I started a Project Life in 2012, but never got around to finish it. But as I’ve got this fun App on my phone, which is called “Project 365” (where I write a couple of lines about my day to day activities and take a pic every day) I have all the stories and the photos of 2012 all here. This means I can finish my album whenever I want, even if it’s in ten years’ time.

I chose to do a spread of week 27, which was a week in our summer holidays. As we took part in a lot of activities that week I had a very hard time choosing only a few photos as I had so many. I used a lot of different journaling cards mainly from the Sand Castle collection and the Marigold collection. I love that there are so many cards in all different shapes and sizes to choose from. Whatever the sizes of my sleeves are, there are always several cards that fit into them!!

Here's what I did:

In the photo above I placed the cards on top of the protector, but as I had adhered a large die-cut on the photo sleeve, I also show you a photo of the cards and photos all inside their pockets: the left side:

and the right side:

And a few close-ups of all the journaling cards I used:

Okay, my typewriter does have a correction possiblity, but I have honestly no clue how it works ... there's a ribbon in it, but I guess I put it in wrong as I don't get it to work!

For a complete list of PLS supplies (links to the store included), please hop over to my blog post on Pretty Little Studio's blog. I used supplies from the Marigold collection, the Sand Castle collection,You & Me collection and the Holiday Cheer collection.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog!

Scraptastic Club Pinterest Monday

Today it's Leanne's and my turn on Scraptastic Club's blog with a Pinterest inspired challenge. The quote we used from Pinterest is this one:

And so, with this quote in mind, I chose this photo of me with five of my very dear friends for my layout. Five women of whom I can proudly say that they are my friends. Five women with beautiful personalities and who are truly amazing. Each and every one of them! And since we’ve all reached a certain age (lol), I think I can safely say that by now we all “know” we can do hard things.

For my layout I used the March “Good Day Sunshine” kit and add-on. The colors were just perfect for this photo! I always love to use many different patterned papers in my projects, and for this layout I thought it would be fun to create a banner consisting of a lot of different pennants. Later-on I also included some of the awesome Kaisercraft die-cuts:

When I saw this row of smileys in the add-on I knew I had to use it for this photo, because when we are together we are always laughing (most of the time about nothing!)!

And of course I just had to use that Pink Paislee alphabet from the add-on:

This was my project based on that Pinterest quote. Now if you want to see the wonderful layout Leanne created, go check it out on Scraptastic Club's blog!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Simple Stories I AM - Scraptastic Store

Hi everyone, yesterday I shared this layout on Scraptastic Club's blog and today I thought I'd share it here too. It's a layout created with the amazing “I Am” collection from Simple Stories! As soon as I saw this collection pop up in the Scraptastic Club Store I ordered it! I’ve always loved Simple Stories, but this collection is definitely one of my favorites.

Here’s the layout I created: a photo of me with two friends enjoying a day out! We were with a group of 7 women and we had hired these scooters (one for each of us) for the day. We had such an amazing time!!

I always love to include chipboard elements on my page (like the banner), but what I don’t always like is the adhesive on the back. More often than not I want to use foam adhesive to adhere chipboard (or stickers) and that is hard when there’s already sticky. So what I do is, I just peel of the layer with the adhesive like this:

And add foam adhesive:

And then I can adhere them in the way I want:

And the same goes for stickers. When I’ve got stickers I want to adhere with foam I make them “unsticky” by sticking and unsticking them a couple of times to my jeans. Because of the fibers that will stick to the sticker they won’t be sticky any more after that:

A simple trick to be able to adhere my stickers like this:with a bit of depth instead of flat.

Here are a few more close-ups of my layout. Love the gold in this collection:

and aren’t these golden overlays awesome:

Hope you liked my page. Here’s a list of what I used, just click on the product and it will bring you to the product in the store!

Supply list: Simple Stories – I Am – Collection Kit, 2×2 and 6×8 Elements Paper,  Dreaming Paper, Fundamentals Stickers, Photo Overlays, Sn@p! Cards, Wood Veneer, Enamel Dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Have a fab weekend!
