Meet Me In The Sunshine - Imaginisce

Hello everyone! Today I want to share another Imaginisce - Heartland Farm layout. The photo I used is not farm related at all, it's my daughter trying on fun glasses in a shop in Spain during our vacation last year. And I think this collection is perfect for this photo!! The colors match my photo to a tee and the designs of the papers are perfect too.

I always love to use one of the many fabulous Imaginisce tools for my projects. In this case I used the I-Rock tool to accentuate the flowers by adhering a couple of red colored Glam Rocks:

The die-cuts in this collection are fabulous! I especially love those jars and the sunflowers!

But the denim pockets are my very favorites!

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned paper, cardstock die-cuts, denim pockets (Heartland Farm), Glam Rocks; American Crafts: cardstock, Thickers. Tools: Imaginisce I-Rock tool, I-Rock Jewel Tray and Lighted Tweezers. Other: Silhouette Cameo.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. For more fun Imaginisce projects hop over to their blog!

Hope you'll have a wonderful day!

Scraptastic Sketchy Thursday!

It's the last Thursday of the month and that means a new sketch challenge at Scraptastic Club!! For my layout I used the May project life kit "This Life Noted". I wasn't in the mood for straight lines and everything "neat" like I often do, but I wanted to have fun, play a little, rather than thinking about how it should be. And this is the result.

And a few close-ups: love the flairs!!

I adore the exclusive Acrylic Words included in this kit:

The title is a cut file from Kerri Bradford and was not included in the kit:

And this is this month's sketch:

Like the sketch?? Why not play along? Just leave a comment below this blog post on Scraptastic's blog (click link) to submit your entries. You have until June 3rd at midnight to submit all of your entries for the 4 May Blog Challenges. The prize this month is $20.00 to spend at Scraptastic Club.
Can't wait to see what you'll do!

Thank you so much for stopping by again today!

Two Scraptastic Club "Janglin' " Layouts

Today I've got two layouts up on Scraptastic Club's blog made with the fabulous May kit "Janglin'".

The first layout I got for you is one created with just the main kit and is about my daughter desperately trying to buy tickets for a One Direction concert in Amsterdam.

I'm a huge fan of all Pinkfresh Studio goodies and was so happy to see a lot of their product was included in this kit!! Love the Pinkfresh Studio “Up In The Clouds” Ephemera like the heart with the gold scribbling and the “Up In The Clouds” Wood Dots:

And of course the fun flair buttons from Kaitlin Sheaffer! The one with the camera is my fave! (btw, does anyone know how to photograph these shiny flairs without the glare from outside?!! It frustrates me to no end!).

The color of the Amy Tangerine Rise & Shine Pink Foam Thickers is just awesome!

And then I made another layout, but this time also using the add-on and one of the stamps. This layout is about my daughter and one of her friends baking a strawberry cake.

For patterned paper I only used the sheet of Scraptastic Journaling Cards (from the add-on kit). I just cut all the journaling cards from the entire sheet apart and more or less randomly placed my favorite cards on a sheet of white cardstock and adhered these straight away. I decided not to think too long about it and to just get on with it, because I knew I wanted to use lots of embellishments anyway. That way I would always be able to cover up any inconsistency, lol. Love the result!

Aren’t those Amy Tangerine clear stickers awesome (add-on kit)! Like the three strips in this photo and the large flower in the next:

I also love the alpha stickers from Webster’s Pages (Webster’s Pages #Happy Sticker Sheet – add-on). And for the finishing touch I machine stitched through the Jillibean Soup sticker:

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and I hope I gave you some inspiration to get started with the kit. For more info on kit subscriptions, go HERE

Have a great day!

Saturday Morning Rituals - October Afternoon

For the Scraptastic Store I did this October Afternoon "Saturday Mornings" layout. I love October Afternoon so much, I have to have all of their collections and if possible twice! (so I can use one and safe keep the other, lol). This collection is no exception … I have two of it!

Because on the Scraptastic fans facebook page people asked for more layouts with multiple 4"x 6" photos I used two on this layout. Here’s what I did. I used these photos of my youngest: it’s Saturday morning and he’s watching his favorite television series (Phineas & Ferb), while eating his breakfast, snuggled up on the couch under his blanket and with the teddy bear from school, who was staying over for the weekend. Are these photos perfect for this collection or what??

The use of the two 4″ x 6″ photos is a bit of an exception for me, but I really ike how it turned out.

And it's so fun there was a die-cut from a teddy bear in this collection as Mats had the bear from school staying over (de "logeerbeer")!

Supplies: October Afternoon – Saturday Mornings: Collection Kit, Syrup Paper, Grapefruit Paper, Crepes Paper, Omlette Paper, Bacon Paper, Word Stickers, Shape Stickers, Journaling Cards Tin Pins, Doo-Dads.

If you're looking for this collection, then hop over to the Scraptastic Store because it's still available!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! Hope you’ll have a fab weekend!

Ocean Love - Pretty Little Studio

Happy Wednesday everyone! I've got a Pinterest inspired project I did for Pretty Little Studio I want to share with you. I really loved today’s photo and took inspiration from the sea theme and all the different colors in this photo. I used Pretty Little Studio's brand new “Treasure Island” collection and a photo of my oldest son playing in this old fishing boat. A perfect photo for this collection!

I really adore this collection, it’s perfect for all those summer photos taken at the beach or pool or just playing with water … I have so many of these!! And I adore the bright colors and not to mention the super cute diecuts!

As I said in one of my previous blog posts, I always love to use the packaging too and in this case I used the front sheet of the 8×8 paper pack and cut it into strips. I added a few more in different colors, because the paper pack is mostly blue colored and I wanted a multi colored layout because of the Pinterest photo.

Pretty Little Studio Supplies: Treasure Island Collection: patterned paper, vellum, flair, diecuts, confetti, tabs, cut-outs, stickers and word art.

And this is the Pinterest photo I got to work with:

Thank you so much for stopping by and if you want to see what the other designers are doing with this collection (or any other collection), then please visit Pretty Little Studio's blog!

Sweet Dog - Imaginisce

Good afternoon! Today I'm sharing another "Heartland Farm" layout on Imaginisce's blog. This time I decided to use a photo of my dog from way back when she was still a puppy.

I started my layout with some pastel pink Milk Paint and a 12x12 stencil. Because I wanted the background to stay light I used just a little bit of the Milk Paint and a lot of water:

And here's how it looked after I used the stencil:

Love how this turned out! To flatten the paper I put something heavy on it for a couple of hours and only then used it.

Here're a few close-ups of my layout: the denim pockets are so awesome!

I was certain I wanted to use the beautiful blue journaling card, but because the words "wildflower seeds" didn't apply to my photo I just adhered a die-cut on top:

And isn't this duck die-cut sweet? I know, it's got nothing to do with my dog, but it's so cute!

You might wonder where I got the bright green paper from (left side of my layout), but it's actually the cardstock packaging sheet from the wooden bottle caps. I just loved the color and decided to use a small strip of it.

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned paper, cardstock die-cuts, enamel dots, denim pockets (Heartland Farm), Milk Paint; American Crafts: cardstock. Other: Silhouette Cameo, TCW Stencil.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. Hope y'all have a wonderful week!

Another Scraptastic Layout - Happy Today

Hi everyone!! Hope you're all enjoying your Sunday! Yesterday I had an awesome day: I spent it scrapping with 8 friends and got 5 layouts done!! One of them is this one, made with Scraptastic Club's April "I Lived" kit, add-on and stamp

The last layout done with any kit is often my favorite, as is this one. I think it's got something to do with not worrying about leaving enough product for next layouts you've still got to do with the same kit. (At Scraptastic we agreed to do at least 4 layouts with one kit and add-on, so I don't want to use all my favorite papers and embellishments on the first project I make!).

I still had the acrylic word "HAPPY" and definitely wanted to use it on my page, in the end my scrappy friends and I decided it had to be used as a "stitching template":

Love the result:

Fun right???

Scraptastic Store | Crate Paper | Smile

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a layout about my girl finding out she needed glasses! I used Crate Paper's fabulous Craft Market collection from the Scraptastic Store. Crate Paper is one of my favorite manufacturers and I have loads of their product, but for some reason I have often trouble to make it “work” for me. I can perfectly envisage what my layout should look like (bright & sunny), but I have never photos that match this image I have in my head. But because I really love their stuff, I decided to not give up and just get on with it!

So here’s what I did, a layout with an indoors photo, taken with my iPhone (so not the best quality) and not those perfect colors I wanted. And I really love the result!

What I love about this collection are all the gold accents: on the papers, on the wood veneers, on the stickers, on the chipboard … it’s everywhere!

I don’t know if you noticed it, but I’ve smuggled in a strip of paper from another collection. Can you guess which one? Right! It’s the one with the glasses on it! This paper was made for this photo that I just had to include it and because it’s from Crate Paper’s Maggie Holmes (Open Book colllection – which is on sale right now!) it’s a perfect fit!

This collection also contains a lot of burlap, of which I’m a huge fan!

Supplies: Patterned Paper (Crate Paper Craft Market Inspired with Gold), (Crate Paper Craft Market Inventory), (Crate Paper Craft Market Stitching), (Crate Paper Craft Market Thrifty), (Crate Paper Craft Market Sparkle with Gold), (Maggie Holmes Open Book Portrait), Wood Veneer (Crate Paper Craft Market), Accent Stickers (Crate Paper Craft Market), Chipboard Stickers (Crate Paper Craft Market), Standouts (Crate Paper Craft Market).

And because I was really in the mood I made another page with this collection, again featuring my daughter.

I love to use lots of layers on my page and in this case I even included a piece of the packaging: the cardstock sheet of the “standouts” package. Also, I just had to include those awesome gold accented wood veneers again:

Supplies: Patterned Paper (Crate Paper Craft Market Inventory), (Crate Paper Craft Market Stitching), (Crate Paper Craft Market Thrifty), (Crate Paper Craft Market Fresh Paint), Wood Veneer (Crate Paper Craft Market), Accent Stickers (Crate Paper Craft Market), Chipboard Stickers (Crate Paper Craft Market), Standouts (Crate Paper Craft Market).

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!! Have a fab weekend!
