Christmas Cards - Imaginisce

Hello everyone! Have you started on your Christmas cards yet? Do you know it's only 3.5 weeks to Christmas?! If you haven't started yet and need an idea for a quick, but fun card then you're at the right place! Using Imaginisce's Give Thanks collection I created these two cards (are up on Imaginisce's blog too). The colors of the Give Thanks collection are just perfect and lots of the embellishments are "neutral" and can be used for cards for any occasion.

I just love those wood buttons! And they are so fun in my Christmas tree!

They add the necessary dimension to my cards, just like the enamel dots:

The tree trunk was created using the phrase cardstock stickers and with a piece of twine, a stamp and some stitching my cards were finished. I kept it fairly simple so I'll be able to create lots of cards in little time!

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned paper, wood buttons, cardstock phrase, enamel dots (Give Thanks); American Crafts: cardstock. Tools: Imaginisce D-Stress Tool. Other: stamp, twine.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, have a great day!

Venice - Scraptastic Club

Hi everyone! Here's another page created with Scraptastic Club's November "Feels Like Home" kit, add-on and digital cut file. This is such a wonderful kit, filled with lots of Pebbles "DIY" and Pink Paislee "Cedar Lane" and of course many exclusives from Kaitlin Sheaffer.

The photo I used is from December 2013, when my hubby and daughter spent a few days in Venice. Everywhere in Venice you find these fun masks and of course I had to scrap this photo:

The Pebbles die-cut of the stag reminded me of the feathers on the mask in the photo. Behind the photo you can also see a part of November's exclusive digital cut file.

And two more close-ups:

The patterned papers and die-cuts are from Pebbles (DIY collection), the puffy stickers from Pink Paislee (Cedar Lane) and the wood veneer word is an exclusive from Scraptastic.

Another Guest Design Post for Pebbles!!

Hi everyone! Yesterday my second guest post went up on Pebbles' blog!! Yay!!

I used Jen Hadfield's beautiful Home + Made collection again and here's what I created:

For my first project I decorated the "Home Art Hanger" and created a layout for it.

As I love all the sheets of patterned paper in this collection so very much I wanted to create a layout using lots of those sheets and came up with this design. It includes 8 strips of patterned paper measuring 3"x 6".

I also added a few pieces of the beautiful decorative tape and the large "I Love Us" cut file, which I designed myself and cut out using my Silhouette Cameo. Next came the photo and the other embellishments:

A few detail photos: I used one of the 3"x 3" Minc cards and some puffy phrase stickers. The arrow was cut with the Homemade dieset from one of the mini kraft pocket tags.

And the layout wouldn't be complete without these cute phrase tags, which I adhered using a stapler.

The Art Hanger I painted white and decorated with some patterned paper and a gold foil letter sticker:

I love how easy to use this Art Hanger is. It contains two magnets at the back and you just clip your project in between:

Supplies:
Homemade Puffy Phrase Stickers
Homemade Dies Set
American Crafts Thickers Printed Foil Letter Stickers

And because I hate wasting even a tiny piece of this beautiful collection and because I had so many scraps lying on my desk, I decided to created these 2 super quick and fun gift bags:

Here's the pile of scraps I had left after creating my other projects:

And this is what I got when I grabbed three pieces of paper and a Minc card out of this pile and stapled them together with a phrase tag:

Fun right? Together with a doily from my own stash I adhered them on top of one of the kraft glitter bags and voilĂ , ready to use! (and in case you wonder why I combined "congratulations" and "thank you" - this was made for a colleague who left the office for a new job ... so, thanks for all you've done and congrats on your new job!).

And here's the other of my "one-minute" gift bags:

In less than 5 minutes I got these two beautiful gift bags suitable for any birthday or other occasion!

Supplies:
Homemade Minc 3x3 Card Set

Thank you so much for stopping by and having a peek at my projects! Have a fabulous day!

Scraptastic Sketchy Thursday!!

It's time for another Scraptastic "Sketchy Thursday"! Here's what I created with today's sketch using the “Feels Like Home” kit and add-on and the “Ain’t No Sunshine” digital cut file (the pointy background file you see behind the photos). In the photo you see two of my kids “building a bear” while on vacation in the US.

The wood veneer word and the flair button are exclusives from Scraptastic Club, the gold foil heart is from Pebbles (DIY Home Ephemera) just like the frames, the little alphabet stickers are from Elle's Studio and the large alpha stickers from American Crafts (Patchwork Thickers). The bow is from Dear Lizzy (Dear Lizzy Documentary Cork Bows).

Love the Freckled Fawn thin washi tape in this kit!! And how about those vellum leaves?! Awesome right?!

And this is today's sketch:

Magic | Scraptastic Club November kit "Feels Like Home"

Here's my first layout created with Scraptastic Club's fabulous “Feels Like Home” kit and add-on. I’m a huge Pebbles fan, so when I saw this kit, I just had to have it (even though I had bought quite a lot of the Pebbles DIY collection already). There are a few manufacturers I’ve got a real crush on and Pebbles is definitely one of them! And I don’t know how she does it, but Jessica always knows to pick scrapbook stuff for her kits that I really really love!

This layout was created quite fast as I knew straight away I wanted to use those frames as the base for my photos. I just adore that gold foil frame!!

The wood veneer background sheet and both the grey and pink strips of paper are from the Pink Paislee “Cedar Lane” collection, which match perfectly with all the die-cuts from the Pebbles DIY collection I used. The beautiful thin washi tape with the silver stars comes from Freckled Fawn and looks awesome with these papers and die-cuts.

When I had glued the wood veneer word “Magic” to my page I decided that I didn’t like it quite so close to the word “smile” (on the black frame) after all and so I decided to adhere one of the Dear Lizzy cork bows on top of the word “smile”. I think it looks much better now:

Aren’t those Pebbles gold foil die-cuts awesome?!! The wood veneer word is from Freckled Fawn and I just love it!

Thank you so much for stopping by! And if you want to see what's in the Feels Like Home kit or add-on then hop over to Scraptastic Club's blog. There you'll find all the info you need!

Guest Designing for Pebbles!!!

Good morning friends! After weeks of having to keep silent I can finally spill the beans! For November and December I'm Pebbles guest designer!!! I'll have 2 blog posts in both months and created a lot of projects with collections from Jen Hadfield and Winter Wonderland!

Last week my first blog post was up on their blog and today I thought I'd share it here too. So here're the first two projects I made with the "Home + Made" collection from Jen Hadfield and oh my, what an awesome collection this is!! It's one of the most beautiful collections I know! I just love all the gold accents, the beautiful designs and those amazing colors!

When this collection arrived on my doorstep the chalkboard was the item that immediately caught my eye and I just needed to get started with it straight away. Here's what I did:

I decorated the chalkboard but left space on the right side to clip on some of my favorite photos: I started with several different pieces of patterned paper and because the chalkboard has rounded corners, I too rounded the corners of my papers (but only at the bottom). As I loved the smooth look and feeling of the 3"x 3" Minc cards I also included two of those and also a phrase tag and a piece of decorative tape.

First I adhered four pieces of patterned paper:

And next came the other embellishments:

The photos and the second tag are not adhered with any adhesive but I used a clip (from my own stash) to fasten them, so I can change them whenever I want:

I really love the result! The photo of my son with our dog is very precious to me as it's one of the last photos we took of our dog; she passed away only a few months later.

And a few detail photos: those Minc cards are so very beautiful!

Supplies:
Homemade Minc 3x3 Card Set
Homemade Puffy Phrase Stickers
Homemade Decorative Tape

Next I created this layout. I love making layouts, it's what I do most. I used a photo of my daughter and I. We went to London last August and had an amazing time. London is one of my favorite cities to visit and this photo was taken near London Bridge:

I always like to use many different kinds of patterned papers for my layouts, but in this case I found I also needed something a bit more "subdued" and so I chose to use one of the kraft bags on my page as well. I love the gold glitter dots on it! The puffy "hello" sticker was used to hide some unknown people in my photo. Love it!

The glitter hearts were punched from smaller kraft pocket tags using the Homemade dies. The word "hello" was also punched using these dies and "you are loved" is a stamp from the Homemade stamp set.

The "You are my Happy" card was cut from the sheet "Best Day Ever" and the flower card is one of the Minc cards. The black "Best Day Ever" sticker is one of the Homemade Puffy Phrase Stickers.

Supplies:
Homemade Minc 3x3 Card Set
Homemade Puffy Phrase Stickers
Homemade Dies Set
Homemade Clear Acrylic Stamp Set
American Crafts Thickers Printed Foil Letter Stickers

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! And stay tuned for my next Pebbles blog post, which will up on their blog on November 27th! Have a great day!

Thanksgiving Personal Gift Bags | Imaginisce

Hi everyone! For today's Imaginisce project I thought I'd create 6 little gift bags with their Give Thanks collection, which I want to use on our dinner table for Thanksgiving. I decorated the bags and added the names so I can also use them as name plates. I want to put a little something in the bags, like a mint chocolate to have with the coffee we always drink right after dinner and add a little personal wish.

I used a die set from American Crafts to create the bags and decorated them with die-cuts, phrase stickers, sticker-stackers, puffy stickers and enamel dots from Imaginisce's Give Thanks collection. Here're some detail photos:

And on the back of the gift bags I added a little phrase sticker as well:

Aren't they cute?!

To create the bows I used a fork and a piece of ribbon and followed the instructions I found here on Pinterest. Of course I used Imaginisce's "I-Magicut", the ribbon cutter and sealer to make sure all the bows had nice smooth ends:

The I-Magicut tool is so simple to use: just place your ribbon inside, close the top and press the button a few seconds so the thin metal wire inside the tool heats up and cuts through the ribbon and sealing it at the same time:

And this is what I had in mind for our table setting. The little bow adds a nice finishing touch, don't you agree?

And here they all are once again:

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned paper, die-cuts, puffy stickers, sticker stackers, phrase stickers, enamel dots (Give Thanks); American Crafts: Shimelle die-set. Tools: Imaginisce I-Magicut.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you'll have a fabulous Thanksgiving!

Hugs,
Monique
