LOVE || Pretty Little Studio

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing another 12" x 12" layout created with one of my favorite Pretty Little Studio collections: "Well Read". Last August my daughter and I went shopping and stopped off at this little bookshop where they have (apart from lots of books) the most amazing coffee. I decided that this photo that I took of my daughter with a book and a coffee was perfect to scrap with the Well Read collection. Here's what I made:

I started my layout by taking my Silhouette Cameo off it's shelf and cutting the digital cut file "LOVE" out of the 12" x 12" sheet called "Shelf Life" and placing this on the 12" x 12" sheet called "Indexed". I cut off a strip of paper off this last sheet and matted it with the 12" x 12" sheet called "Bookmark". These three sheets are all included in the 12" x 12" Well Read single sided Paper Pack,

Next I matted the photo and placed it on the right side of the cut file and embellished it with die-cuts and cut-aparts.

I added two more clusters with embellishments on the "L" and "V" of the cut file:

I just love the die-cut of this reading girl:

For the finishing touch I added strips of paper with "reading words". This is actually a scan and print of the sticker sheet called "Overdue Word".

Last but not least I machine stitched over many of the elements on my page and wrote a few lines of journaling and stamped the date (twice). For the finishing touch I added silver paint drops.

This is it. Hope you like it.

Happy Moments || Pretty Little Studio

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing my take on the Pretty Little Studio August scraplift challenge. I used the Love is Kind collection to create this beautiful page with the photos of the wedding of my daughter and son in law last year:

This month we're scraplifting a wonderful layout from Kat Benjamin and this is the layout from Kat we're scraplifting:

I love the design of the layout we're scraplifting! For my layout I used four tags and two 3 1/4" x 5 1/4" photos. Here's a close-up of the tags on the left side of my page:

And here's a close-up of the tags on the right side of my page:

I just adore the Pretty Little Studio banners and this one is no exception. Isn't it just perfect for wedding photos?

Next I created a couple of clusters. This is the one above the photo on the right:

And this is the one below the photo on the left:

Of course I machine stitched around my layout and also over some of the die-cuts. I stamped the date and wrote their names in the tabs. I fininshed my page by adding some silver paint drops.

I've been wanting to scrap some of the wedding photos like forever, but no scrapbook collection was "worthy" enough (which is ludicrous if you think about it, as I can print these photos over and over again). Anyway, when I saw the Love is Kind collection I instantly knew I had found the perfect collection to scrap these precious wedding photos! I just love the result. I hope you do too.

Friends Forever || Love is Kind collection Pretty Little Studio

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing another layout created with the brand new "Love is Kind" collection from Pretty Little Studio. For this layout I chose a photo of my daughter with our super cute and sweet Cocker Spaniel.

Here's what I made:

I began this layout with the large 12" die-cut heart that I placed on a sheet of white cardstock. I totally adore this patchwork heart with the faux stitches! I placed the photo of my daughter in the bottom right corner and created three clusters: two around the photo and one in the top left corner of the heart.

This is the cluster I created in the top left corner of the photo. I used a frame die-cut and some flowers and leaves die-cuts:

This is the cluster at the bottom left of the photo. I used one of the word titles, another frame die-cut, some flower die-cuts, a cute little bow die-cut and two rows of stitches stickers:

And the third cluster is at the top of the heart, left side. Here I added a few flower die-cuts and a word flag.

Then I machine stitched around my layout and over some of the die-cuts with either red of white thread. I added some silver and white paint splatter and stamped the date.

I Love You || Pretty Little Studio

Hi friends! I'm here to share another Pretty Little Studio layout using the beautiful You Are My Sunshine collection. I chose this photo of my son with our Cocker Spaniel. It's one of my favorite photos of them together and I've been wanting to scrap it for months now.

I was in the mood for a mixed media layout and found that the You Are My Sunshine collection is a perfect fit for this. I also unearthed some old Pretty Little Studio stamps (from the Oakley Avenue collection) which I used for the background.

I started my layout by tearing two strips of paper from the sheet called "Slice of Watermelon" and adhered these on top of each other in the middle of a sheet of white cardstock. I matted the photo on a scrap of red checkered paper from one of the Christmas papers and placed this on a couple of papers from the 6x6 You Are My Sunshine Accent paper pack. The strip of paper with the hearts is also from this paper pack.

Next I embellished my page with die-cuts, stickers and stamps. The clear stickers I printed myself on glossy sticker photo paper and is a digital product from the store called "Perfect Match Stickers".

The "best friend" sticker was just perfect:

There were so many embellishments I could put in use for this page, like this text label:

From the Sugar Plum collection I used the punch-out hearts

I have a stash of words that I once cut with my Silhoutte Cameo, and chose one of those for my page:

The red tag with the white dots is also a "Perfect Match" digital file from the store which I printed and fussy cut.

When I was happy with my page I added machine stitching, white, pink and orange paint drops and a date stamp and I was done! Hope you like it.

Pretty Little Studio Typewriter Layout

Hello friends, I thought I would share another of my layouts I created for Pretty Little Studio here on my blog as well. I created this with one of the Pretty Little Studio digital cut files and the two collections Sugar Plum and Well Read.

I created a layout about my author-daughter:

I got the idea for this layout when I spotted the "Floral Typewriter" cut file in de Pretty Little Studio shop. Last year I got a new Silhouette Cameo for my birthday and I haven't used it nearly enough, so when I spotted this cut file I instantly knew I wanted to do a page about my daughter who has two books published already and was busy writing a third when I took this photo.

This is the cutfile "Floral Typewriter" I used. Isn't it gorgeous?

For the base I chose one of the Sugar Plum ledger papers and used mainly items from the Sugar Plum collection (there are lots of non-Christmas items in this collection), but also a few die-cuts from the Well Read collection.

I chose a lot of bloom and stem die-cuts from the Sugar Plum collection and also the two little tags and placed these on the right side of the photo. Next I chose a phrase die-cut from the Well Read collection and adhered this over the photo. I typed up a line of journaling, printed this, cut it in half and adhered it below the photo:

Left of the photo I added more bloom die-cuts and a journaling die-cut (Sugar Plum collection) and a little rainbow (Well Read collection):

In the bottom left corner of the typewriter I created a little cluster with more blooms and stems (Sugar Plum collection) and a coffee cup and circle die-cut (Well Read collection):

In the top left corner of the typewriter you'll find more bloom and stem die-cuts, the top of a tag (Sugar Plum collection) and a little flag (Well Read collection):

After I machine stitched my page with white thread I added a little bit of pink and white paint drops and I was done.

I really love the result. If you want to check out the collections I used, please visit the Pretty Little Studio shop.

Here's a list of the Pretty Little Studio products I used:
