Simple Co-Worker / Neighbor Gift Ideas - Doodlebug

Hi everyone! If you want to create a handmade, yet simple and quick Christmas gift for your co-worker, neighbor, friend or ... whoever, here's a fun idea for a gift bag with a bookmark using Doodlebug's "Home for the Holidays" collection.

Here's how you can make these: start with two plain, kraft, store bought gift bags and a few products from Doodlebug's "Home for the Holidays" collection: 

Cut two strips of doublesided paper approx. 7" x 2.5" and fold the top at 1/3. 

Adhere "flags" from the pixies on top (glue the back of two flags together, so you get an image on both sides): 

And embellish: 

Last but not least adhere two small strips of magnetic tape on the inside, so the bookmark will stay in place in your book and the bookmark is done: 

For the bag: adhere a piece of patterned paper on the front of the kraft gift bag, some ribbon and a bow and clip the bookmark around the front:

And you're done!

Another Glitz Layout

For today I have another Glitz Design layout to share. The photos were taken last May and although it was only Spring, the weather was just awesome (very unlike now!).

I've used the "Uncharted Waters" collection, which I just love with all the transparencies, die-cuts and fabulous designs. I wanted the tin with the stamps too, but alas, they sold out too fast.

The background was created using 2 different colors of Gelatos and some baby wipes. A first for me! Hope you like it.

Vorige week was ik een weekendje weg met 3 vriendinnen en behalve veel kletsen, shoppen, eten en dvd's kijken (Downton Abbey) hebben ook nog veel gescrapt! Zo heb ik deze layout over "mijn" 3 mannen gemaakt met de november kit en add-on (Colorblind kit) van de Scraptastic Kitclub! Ik heb Glitz' collectie "Finnley" uit de kit hiervoor gebruikt, die is toch zo gaaf! De flair is speciaal voor deze kit van Scraptastic Club gemaakt door Ormulu.

Last weekend I had a weekend away with 3 friends and we had such a wondeful time! Except for lots of talking, shopping, watching films and eating we've also scrapped a lot, lol! I've been playing with the November kit and add-on (Colorblind kit) from Scraptastic Kitclub. Of course I started with selecting my favorite products from the kit: Glitz' collection "Finnley" to create the first page! It's about the three most important men in my life!

Especially for this Scraptastic November kit Ormulu created a matching flairs set!
