One Direction - Jillibean Soup & Purple Pumpkin

Wohoo, finally my box full of Purple Pumpkin goodies arrived!! Love what Samantha sent me! Of course I put them to use straight away!

Most of you know I have a 17 year old daughter who's totally smitten with the boys from One Direction especially with the blond one, Niall. She has countless photos and posters of them in her room, went to their concerts when they were in Holland and when they are in London next June we're going there too! Yes, she's a true fan!! Oh how she would love to meet them irl! 

For today I created a layout of her posing in front of a 1D photo. I used a lot of Jillibean Soup and combined it with a crochet Purple Pumpkin doily, a piece of red PP washi tape with hearts and some PP twine: 

Eindelijk kwam vorige week dan toch mijn dt doos met Purple Pumpkin goodies helemaal uit Australië! Joepie!! Ik heb gelijk het eea gebruikt voor deze layout. De foto is van mijn dochter met op de achtergrond haar idolen van One Direction. 

Here's a close-up of the washi tape and the twine. On the kraft flower I sprayed a bit pink Heidi Swapp color shine (from Paper Issues):

Gebruikt: Het papier, de journaling kaartjes, het corrugated poppetje en de placemat zijn allemaal van Jillibean Soup (afkomstig uit één van de "mystery boxes" van hun online store). De witte gehaakte doily, de washi tape met hartjes en de twine zijn allemaal van Purple Pumpkin. Verder zijn de rode doily van Doodlebug, de wood veneer hartjes van Studio Calico, de 3D stickers van Crate en de flair van Fancy Pants.

Love Documented - Fancy Pants Beloved

I'm a subscriber to the Scraptastic Club kits for a long time now and love every single one of them! Every month Jessica creates 3 kits: 1 Project Life kit and 2 other kits (both with an add-on & stamp set). Every month we let Jessica know which one of the kits we wish to receive. 

Ik heb al een hele tijd een abonnement op de kits van Scraptastic Club. Jessica stelt toch zulke mooie kits samen elke maand weer! Er is altijd 1 Project Life kit en 2 andere kits & add-ons, waaruit je dan elke maand eentje kiest (of als je veel geld hebt, niet kiest, maar allebei neemt, lol).

For February I chose the "Feel Again" main kit and the "Feel Again" add-on kit and created this page (yes, it does resemble one of my Pretty Little Studio layouts - I kinda lifted my own page): 

Mijn keuze voor februari was eenvoudig, toen ik de "Feel Again" kit zag, wist ik direct dat ik die wilde hebben! Hier is de layout die ik er mee gemaakt heb. En ja, je ziet het goed, ik heb mijn eigen Pretty Little Studio layout gelift. Ik vond 'm zo leuk dat ik 'm nog een keer gemaakt heb. Eigenlijk idioot hè?

I used mostly Fancy Pants "Beloved" on this page (adore this collection!!!) plus lots of hearts punched from pages of an old book. Here are a few close-ups: 

Van de kit heb ik voor deze layout voornamelijk Fancy Pants "Beloved" (zo'n gave collectie!!!) gebruikt plus wat pagina's uit een oud boek.

Spring layout - Imaginisce

This week Imaginisce is featuring their Spring collection "Welcome Spring" and here's what I created for their blog. 

Deze week showt Imaginisce hun nieuwe collectie "Welcome Spring" op hun blog en hier is het project dat ik voor ze gemaakt heb.

How I love this collection! The colors and the diecuts are fantastic! For this page I mainly used the 6x6 paper pad; I love that the designs are a bit smaller here. Like for example the sheet with all the journaling cards, as the patterns are a bit smaller I could use the whole sheet as a background sheet, without cutting it up.

Ik vind dit toch zo'n ontzettend leuke collectie. De kleuren, de designs, de diecuts zijn allemaal zo leuk! Voor deze layout heb ik vooral het 6x6 papierblok gebruikt. Het leuke daaraan vind ik dat de designs allemaal net wat kleiner zijn!

Supplies used: 

Imaginisce: 12x12 paper pad, 6x6 paper pad, diecuts (Welcome Spring). 

American Crafts: cardstock, glue runner, foam dots.

Other: wood veneer & Mister Huey's color mist: Studio Calico; washi tape: Marianne Design.

Pretty Little Studio projects

For my introduction post on the Pretty Little Studio blog last Sunday I created this layout which I haven't shown you yet. My daughter and her friends just arriving at Schiphol from their 8 days school trip to Rome! I used the "Nature Walk" collection and the "Woodland Christmas" for this page. 

Afgelopen zondag was mijn introductie op het blog van Pretty Little Studio en speciaal daarvoor had ik een nieuwe layout gemaakt: eentje van mijn dochter en haar vriendinnen net terug uit Rome, doodmoe, maar het was zoooo gaaf! Voor de layout heb ik de "Nature Walk" collectie en de "Woodland Christmas" collectie gebruikt (en een heleboel dingen die nog op mijn bureau lagen! zoals bijv. de stempels van de Hema!).

When I browsed through the Creative Scrappers blog last Friday I saw this fun sketch aka Silhouette cut file and I just had to use it, even though I knew the time to join in the challenge was already over. Here's the page I made using the Welcome Spring collection from Imaginsce: 

Toen ik afgelopen vrijdag weer eens het Creative Scrappers blog bekeek zag ik een onwijs leuke Silhouette cut file om te downloaden en ook al was de tijd om mee te doen aan de bijbehorende challenge al voorbij, ik wilde die cut file hebben en gelijk gebruiken! Relax - Jenni Bowlin kit

Last weekend I went cropping with friends and had such a wonderful time. There's just nothing better (well, almost nothing) than scrapbooking with friends who love this hobby just as much. I finished 4 pages and here's one of them: my two eldest kids last August in France. I used the Jenni Bowlin February 2014 papercrafting kit for this. Only the wood veneer camera and the washi tape came from my own stash.
