Rain, Rain, (don't) Go Away - Imaginisce

Hello friends! Today I want to share yet another layout I created using the Imaginisce March sketch, but this time I rotated the sketch a bit. I used the Family Fun collection to make this page about my son, who loves to walk in the rain with my umbrella. The green color of the umbrella and the blue color of my son's jacket were a perfect match for the colors of the Family Fun collection!

Although the majority of the products I used here are from the Family Fun collection, I also used a strip of paper from the Welcome Spring collection (brown with flowers) and the dog die-cut from the Good Dog collection. 

I adhered the dog to my background cardstock using the cute pink Imaginisce Pogo Adhesive Dispenser. It needed quite a few dots because of the size of the die-cut, but it adhered nicely. 

Love the strips with the words at the bottom of the Family Fun sheets:

I'm a huge button and flair fan and use either one of them on almost every page I create. I really love the size of these little buttons. This collection also comes with larger buttons, but I really loved these. 

And here's once again the sketch Suzanna designed for us. I soooo hope you'll get a chance to try it out too!

Guesting for Jillibean Soup part 3

Hello and happy St Paddy's Day to you! No we're not Irish (or American), but my husband is called Patrick so we always have a bit of a laugh here on St Patrick's Day. 

Today is the 3rd and last day I'm guesting for Jillibean Soup and the last two layouts I created for them using their brand new collections are now up on their blog. I would really appreciate it if you'd hop over and have a look.

Doodlebug Door Hanger - SG CREATE Magazine

Hi my scrappy friends!! Today I'm sharing my first project for the March issue of CREATE Magazine. This door hanger was created for the "altered card/tag" challenge. The assignment was to use the card or the tag sketch and then create a "different" project. I chose the tag sketch and decided to create a door hanger using lots of Doodlebug (as Doodlebug was the featured Manufacturer for this CREATE issue):

I really loved this challenge! I used the tag sketch to create this “stt, I’m in a call” door hanger for my husband. He works at home and is often in a conference call in which we are not allowed to disturb him. For the base of the door hanger I chose one of Doodlebug’s “readymade” cards, opened it and cut a circle in it. Next I used some of their crushed velvet cardstock to make it a bit sturdier and embellished it with more Doodlebug products. I so love their bright colors! They make me happy!

Bingo Cards Layout - Pretty Little Studio

Hiya friends! Today I want to share a layout I created for Pretty Little Studio's “Friday Feature”, where we were featuring Bingo Cards.

For this layout I decided to pull out my Gelatos again and chose two shades of pink with which I created a pinkish hue on my white background sheet using a wet paper towel. After this had dried I added a few splatters of color mist matching the You & Me collection. Next I created one large banner and decorated it with bingo cards/photos/flags/garlands etc.. To accomplish this I used a lot of cut-outs from various You & Me cut-out sheets. The photos and bingo cards I just trimmed into the right shape. I added a few strips of patterned paper behind the banner and machine stitched everything down. With a few star stickers, a little cluster in the bottom right corner and a stamped date I was ready. Hope you like it!

Pink Paislee Layout for CREATE Magazine

Hi everyone! By now you've probably seen that CREATE Magazine's 13th issue is live, but as I haven't shared my 3rd project for the 12th issue yet, I thought I'd better get a move on!

So here it is: for the journaling challenge I created this page using one of the very many text conversations my dd and I have now she's so far away .... and don't think for one minute that they are all nice, sweet and loveable!! No! If you know what my dd is like, then you would know that she's always full of mischieve, making jokes here and there and always taking the mickey out of people ... having said that, here's one of those conversations ... about me turning 51 and her joking about how she hopes she won't look like me when she grows old!!!! ROFL! 

The “Pen Pals” collection from Pink Paislee was just perfect!

and of course I just needed one of Kerri Bradford's cut files for the title yet again:

Imaginisce March Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone! For the month of March all design team members from Imaginisce are using Suzanna Lee's sketch and what a fun one it is! Here's my take on it: I scrapped photos of my husband and my oldest son, spending some quality time together. For this layout I used the Welcome Spring collection as well as a few other pieces.

I'm still over the moon happy with all the tools Imaginisce has given us to work with. For this layout for instance, I used the "i-Score & Pierce" tool: 

The "i-Score & Pierce" tool is a super handy tool!! It's a pen that has four tools all in one! Tips include one 1mm piercing tip, one 4mm piercing tip, one 1.5mm embossing tip and one 2.0mm tip. The tool has an easy push button option to quickly and easily switch over to the other tips. 

And now a few more close-ups of my page: love using old book pages on my layouts!
