Made this layout with my March Nook kit, isn't it super beautiful??

And now my layout.... as it's Monday I get to show you my layout for The Scrappiest. Liz made the most amazing sketch and I loved working with it. Here it is:
And here's my take on it, used some new My Little Shoebox, love those pp!
The title is "tough hairdo", if you go to The Scrappiest's blog you'll notice that Liz didn't mention the title. I guess it's because she doesn't know what "stoer kapsel" means...*LOL*!
So if you need any stamps you'll go the myStampBOX and if you need a sketch, go to The Scrappiest!!! and don't forget to mention you arrived there through me!
Have a wonderful week and see you soon!

Happy Sunday!!!
I had such a wonderful day today! Wanna know why??? Well, I've been scrap shopping with 2 of my best friends, with a superb lunch afterwards and a long(ish) (spring) walk through the woods!! and we had such FUN!! I haven't laughed this hard in months; at the end of the day the muscles in my face hurt from so much laughing!!! I love days like this, wish there were more!! :):):):):)
And this is what I bought: the WRe trimmer with lots of possibilities (does anyone have any experience with it??), another border punch (!!!) and lots of Sassafras, Prima and GCD, Yummie!!
Pffff! Even uitrusten hoor!! and now it's time to relax!!
Dit was het weer voor vandaag.... en nu: SCRAPPEN!!!!

My mom...
I adore this photo of my youngest (here he just turned 2) making music with his grandmother (the journaling reads: Feb.2010: Mats: "It's such a shame grandma passed away.... with whom am I going to make music now?"). He said this to me when we were in the car together, totally out of the blue, we weren't even talking about my mom.... so sweet. Sometimes you just ask yourself what goes through their little minds.... :)
The sketch I used is from the Prima blog: March's Build-A-Page challenge:
Here's my take on the sketch:
And some details:
Used the Flights of Fancy and Shabby Chic lines together with lots of flowers (don't you just love the little flowers on the border??? I just "braided" them to create this border) and one of the new stamps (the musical notes in the corners).
Hope you'll have a lovely weekend and thanks for visiting my blog!
And make sure you'll be back Monday 29 March, because I have some EXCITING news and I have to wait until Monday before I can spill the beans!!!

My favorite drink
Recently I discovered a "new" challenge site called "these are a few of my favorite things" and because the site looks really cool I decided to bookmark it and join them in one of their challenges a.s.a.p. This month their challenge is "these are a few of my favorite drinks".
Mijn favoriete drankje heb ik ontdekt toen ik vorige jaar in Californië was: Iced White Chocolate Mocha!! Dat is wel zo ontzettend lekker!! dus zie hier mijn (voor mijn doen tamelijk simpele) layout!!
During our holiday in California last year I adored this drink called "Iced White Chocolate Mocha" and so I decided to use the photos of this drink for my layout.
I used pp from the "old world cabbage stew" line, cardstock stickers from the "chicken noodle" line and the big alfa's all from Jillibean Soup. I just LOVE those papers!!! The frame is from Technique Tuesday.
Thanks for visiting my blog and hope to see you again soon!!

Spring layout
And not feeling well has definitely an impact on my scrapping... I don't know how it is for you, but when I'm feeling down I cannot create a thing! So, lucky for me we had a very sunny Sunday and when I sat down with my AC Dear Lizzy papers I created this:
and some details:
A spring layout of course (not only the weather, but the Dear Lizzy line too, calls for a spring layout!) with photos of Mats decorating branches with Easter eggs and bunnies.
And this is the sketch is based upon, sketch #57 from The Scrappiest!! Isn't it just great? Why not give it a try too and maybe you'll be the lucky winner of $ 20,- in stash cash over at Your Scrapbook Stash!
Thanks for dropping by and see you soon!

Another try...
Photo is Manon with Jippie and the journaling is about how I find it important to have a pet in the household so kids grow up with pets, learning to respect them, and that Manon already learned this lesson.....
And some details:
Used Shimmerz on the flowers; love the result!

Pirates
Hope you had a better week(end) than I had! I came down with some kind of flu and I still don't feel too good and therefore didn't feel like scrapping at all ... Sorry!
However, I can show you this layout I made for The Scrappiest!
Last January Mats had a birthday party for his friends. He had decided on a pirates theme, so I bought lots of eye patches and earrings and the kids made their own pirate t-shirt. Don't they look scary???
Almost everything I used is from the Monstrosity line from Sassafras, except for the two robots from Maya Road, the (painter's) tape, the buttons and the ribbon. Here are a few details:
And here is sketch #56 from Liz from The Scrappiest:
If you want to see what the other DT members did with this sketch please hop over to the The Scrappiest blog! and if you decide to use it too for your layout please link it to the blog and maybe you'll be one of the lucky winners to win $ 20 in "stash cash" from "Your Scrapbook Stash"!
This is it for now. Have a wonderful week and see you soon!

My new Prima and a new sketch!
And because I bought lots of Prima recently, I used it straight away.... do you recognize who's on the photo??? It's only about 36 years ago.....
and some details:
Although, I must say I'm not totally happy with the result. I just love those Prima papers, but they call for a "vintage" layout and vintage is not really me... BUT because those papers are so beautiful I'll keep on trying!! Maybe one day I'll find a style that fits both Prima and me!!
Thanks for your visit and see you back soon?!

LOVEs acting funny!!
This week's challenge at the American Craft blog was make a love-themed layout or card using two or more AC products.
I used the Blue Skies line: papers, clear stamps and adhesive badges. Furthermore white Bazzill, currugated cardboard and a HS journaling cirkel.
Some close-ups:
Look what arrived in the mail yesterday!!! It's from a RAK I won over at the challenge blog "These are a few of my favorite things". Thanks Amy!! Love all the vintage goodies you've sent me! Love it when this happens!
And I think spring has finally arrived! The sunshine on my face felt soooo good this morning! I really hope this weather is here to stay, although the weather forecast is not that good :(.
This is it for today! Hope to see you back soon! Hugs, Monique
