A quick gift bag - Imagnisce

Our family consists not only of two adults and three kids, but also of 1 dog, 2 rabbits and 50 fish and every time we go on vacation we ask ourselves "what to do with all the animals?".

Luckily this year the solution for our two rabbits - Smiley and Muffin - was easy, our super sweet neighbour Nina said she would be home and would gladly look after them.

So this morning I made her this little gift bag for the gift card I bought for her.

Creating this was much more fun than doing the vacation laundry, the grocery shopping etc. !! (what was what I should have done instead .... )

I used Imaginisce's "Welcome Spring" collection because of the 2 cute little rabbits of course.

Hope she likes it :) .

Creative Cards Feature - Ruby Rock-It

For Ruby Rock-It's "Creative Cards" feature I was asked to create some cards (obviously, lol), but I really am not much of card maker! I find making cards so much more difficult than creating layouts and it takes me at least just as long, if not longer to make them. But of course I gave it a go and I must admit that in the end I really enjoyed making them.

For the background of these cards I thought I would pull out my punches and grabbed my hexagon and triangle punches and some Fusions papers and started punching:

I adhered the punched hexagons and triangles on a piece of vellum and layered this on sheet of white cardstock and that on piece of wedding patterned paper. This little pile I adhered on a double folded piece of white cardstock.

Last but not least I chose some die-cut flowers, a die-cut tag and some twine to finish it off.

All the die-cuts I used came from this fabulous decoupage pack!

Other supplies:
American Crafts: cardstock
The Twinery: twine
Tim Holtz: tiny staples

Tools:
Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher
American Crafts Triangle Punch
Stampin' Up Hexagon Punch

I would love to learn what you think of my cardmaking attempt!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. Have a great day!

CS Sketch #276: Team Up Creative Scrappers & The Cut Shoppe!

It's reveal day with sketch #276 at Creative Scrappers today! It's a very special one as this time we're doing a team up with the design team from "The Cut Shoppe"

In case you're not familiar with The Cut Shoppe: At The Cut Shoppe you can find fun digital Cut Files for download, to use on your paper projects, including layouts and cards! All cut files are available in PNG & SVG formats and are original designs.

For this layout I'm using the "All Around Arrows" and the "EmotiCards 3x4" cutting files. I cut them out of a sheet of kraft cardstock and sprayed them with "Prima Color Bloom -  Gold Foil Spray Mist".

The papers I'm using are from Imaginisce: "Black Ice".

Here are a few close-ups:

And this is sketch #276. As you can see I rotated the sketch and changed the format to A4.

If you love the new sketch too then please join us and create a layout too!  We would love for you to link up your layout on the Creative Scrappers Blog! Maybe your layout will be featured for our Wednesday Layout Feature! And then there's the prize you can win from our August-sponsor!

So go get crafting and good luck to you!!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a fab Sunday!!

Back to School - Imaginisce

It's "Back to School" week at Imaginisce's and here's what I created:

I created a layout of my youngest’s first day in group 5. The photo is from last year, as right now we’re still enjoying our summer holidays! For this page I’ve used one of Imaginisce’s older collections: “Good Dog”. I just love the warm colors of this collection!

For the background of my page I’ve used children’s watercolor paints for the very first time. I don’t like that my cardstock is a bit wrinkled because of it, but I love the soft colors so I’ll definitely use it more often. To build my page I’ve used a lot scraps and my Silhouette and although it came out a bit more “messy” than usual I do like the result. Hope you do too!

Supplies: Imaginisce: patterned papers (Good Dog); Bazzill: cardstock; Studio Calico: color mist, paper clip; Doodlebug: washi tape, letter stickers; A Flair for Buttons: flairs; K&Company: pen; Hema: stamp; misc: water color paint; cut files: Amanda Robinson Studio (back to school, apple), The Cut Shoppe (circle arrow, star striped card, star); Silhouette store (hahaha, word bubble)
Tools: Silhouette Cameo

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a crafty day!

And now on to the projects I created for the hop: two cards using Pretty Little Studio's "Silly Monkey" collection and some awesome twine from The Twinery:

For this card I used some "Red Shimmer" twine. I don't know if you can see it very well, but it has a little bit of glitter in the red thread. It's a 100% plush cotton twine & metallic string twist ... It's really beautiful!!

Apart from the twine at the top of my card, I also adhered it around the red dotted paper. Love the result:

And for the second card I used some Maraschino Solid twine:

Now it's time to hop on to the next stop on our hop: the fabulous Monika Wright!

Care Free - Ruby Rock-It

For today's "Lovin Layouts" feature on Ruby Rock-It's blog I've created this layout. The photo is of two of my kids and one of my nephews. It's the summer holidays and we're at our favorite camping site in the south of France, a place where I've been going ever since I was a kid myself.

I started this layout with the sketched camera (used the Silhouette for this) and worked from there. I don't think you can see it, but I've colored the camera with watered down pink Gelatos, the ink blended a bit, but I still love the result!

The title and the arrow are done with the Silhouette Cameo too.

I love layering papers with different designs and patterns:

And don't you just love this colorful banner from the Carnival Queen collection? It comes "pre-stitched", how cool is that?!

Here's the list of supplies I used:

Ruby Rock-It Bella! Fundamentals:

Other supplies:
American Crafts: cardstock
K&Company: pen
Prima Marketing: color bloom
Studio Calico: color mist
Doodlebug: pink doily
Faber Castell: Gelatos
misc: white doily and staples
cut files: The Cut Shoppe (arrow), Kerri Bradford (title), Silhouette store #57192 (camera)

Tools:
Silhouette Cameo
V&D: Long reach stapler
Tim Holtz: Tiny Attacher

Okay, this was my layout for today. I hope I've been able to inspire a bit!
Thank you so much for stopping by our blog!
