Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a step-by-step of my "Together We Are Better" layout which I created with the February Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. I was so happy when I first saw this kit! I'm a huge fan of everything from Simple Stories and the Apron Strings collection is definitely one of my favorites!
This is the layout for which I created the step-by-step:
I assembled everything I thought I would need. Don't you just love the sight of this?!
Next I cut squares in three different sizes from random pieces of paper. The smallest square is 1.5" and the largest is 2":
I adhered these squares on the left side of a white sheet of cardstock. When you do this make sure to use only the tiniest bit of glue for the top square as you want to fold this one later-on:
Using my sewing machine I sew diagonally over the squares. Sometimes from left to right, sometime the other way around:
Using a bone folder fold over the top square:
I alread love this result! It's just because the papers are so pretty!
Next I matted my photo and placed this in the top right corner, partially over some of the squares;
The February Creative Kit contains two 12" x 12" sheets with stickers and I used some of these for my layout:
Next I added some more machine stitching and I wrote a few lines of journaling and I was done!
