Nelly's verjaardag was erg leuk. Het weer was heerlijk en de kinderen hebben de hele middag onder de tuinsproeier gespeeld (ik had alleen geen droge kleren meegenomen!!). En omdat zij het zo naar hun zin hadden, hadden wij dat ook...!

Nelly's birthday (my sister in law) was a huge success, mainly due to the wonderful weather!! It was extremely warm and the kids played under the garden hose the whole day. They had so much fun! (and when the kids have fun, we have too...).

Gisteren daarentegen was het weer vreselijk. Het begon 's morgens met onweer en regen en met tussenpozen ging dat de hele dag door. Jippie vond het maar niks! Ik vond het niet heel erg, kon ik lekker scrappen. 's Middags toch nog even naar Michèle geweest en daar kinderen "geruild": Manon logeert nu bij Dion en Robin logeert hier....iedereen blij!

Yesterday however, the weather was terrible; we had thunder and rain and had to stay indoors almost the whole day. The kids were bored, but I had finally time to scrap! Show you later..... Later in the day we went to my sis and we "swopped" kids: Manon stayed there and Robin is staying here. Everybody happy!

Winkelen!

Yes! Today we finally bought my new laptop!!! A beauty! I'm so happy!! I'll show you a photo tomorrow!

As Timothy was staying with his friend Hugo there were only 4 of us today. Strange!

This morning Nelleke and I took our dogs, Jippie and Siepie, and the kids for a walk in the "Delftse Hout". The dogs loved it; they jumped right into the water! After walking for about an hour the kids began complaining and we decided to go back home.


In the afternoon we went shopping and Mats rode on several "kiddie cars". He had so much fun! Lucky for me I had my (little) camera with me.

And of course, we had something to drink & eat at the Hema.....

When we returned home Manon and I scrapbooked a little (photo tomorrow, as it's too dark now) and around 7 pm I went to pick up Tim. He had had the time of his life (went to an indoor kids playground), was terribly tired and went straight to bath and to bed!


In the evening I watched an episode of James Herriot: nostalgia!! I bought the dvd of the first series last week as I got the 4th series for mothers day and liked it so much that now I want to have the rest of the series as well! And by now it's 11.40 pm, I'm dog tired, but still have to walk the dog, and wanna go to bed!

Weer heerlijk gescrapt!

Ik had zo'n leuk idee voor mijn scrapvriendinnenclubje (wat een lang woord, leuk voor galgje): we kiezen elke week een leuke contest/challenge/sketch op een van de sites/blogs op internet en doen daar aan mee. Daarna uploaden we onze pagina´s zowel op de betreffende sites/blogs als op dit blog. Maar helaas, de reacties tot nu toe zijn nog niet zo superenthousiast........ Had me nou juist zo leuk geleken!


Today I had such a good idea for my little club of scrapbooking friends: each week one of us choses a challenge/contest/sketch from the internet in which we all participate. The pages would then be uploaded on the relevant site as well as on this blog. But unfortunately they are not as enthusiastic about my idea as I had hoped...... (snif).


Maar met of zonder vriendinnen, ik ben vast begonnen!
Ik heb een site gevonden waar allemaal challenges en contests op verzameld zijn en daar heb ik deze tussen gevonden: http://colormedaisy.com/gallery/. Volgens mij is-ie nog tamelijk nieuw, maar wel erg leuk. Ze hebben voor augustus een contest erop staan waarbij je gebruik moet maken van de kleuren van hun kit. Je kon kiezien uit groen of blauw met zwart en wit en een "splash of clour". Ik heb gekozen voor groen, zwart, wit en een beetje oranje. Het papier bedrukte papier is allemaal van American Crafts en de foto is Mats in zijn nieuwe krokodillenhanddoek. Dit is het geworden:


But with or without my friends I started anyway! I found a fun contest on this site: http://colormedaisy.com/gallery/. You have to either use their kit or use the colours of their kit. The colours were blue OR green with black and white and a splash of colour. So I choose green, black, white and a splash of orange. The photo is Mats in his new crocodile towel. The PP is all American Crafts.

Nook kit has arrived!

Joepie, vanmorgen werd mijn Scrapbooknook kit bezorgd! Heerlijk! Vol met October Afternoon en Inque Boutique. Alhoewel ik zelf ook al wat October Afternoon gekocht had ben ik hier superblij mee want het is zulk gaaf, vrolijk papier!

Yes! This morning my mailman brought me my new Nook kit! Full of October Afternoon and Inque Boutique! Can't wait to get started!!!

Maar de dag begon met een bezoekje aan Voorburg, SBN, voor mijn eerste kop koffie vandaag en natuurlijk wat papier. Er was weer zoveel nieuw spul binnen gekomen dat het heel moeilijk was om me te beperken tot alleen het papier! Maar met wat ik heb, Scenic Route en We R Memorykeepers, ben ik erg blij!

But first things first: a visit to Yvon at SBN, http://www.scrapbooknederland.com/, for a cup of coffee and some new papers from Scenic Route and We R Memorykeepers. I love all those bright colours!! Nothing more cause Patrick finds I have enough to fill my own store ....... (a girl can never have enough scrapbooking stuff!)

Verder ben ik vanmiddag begonnen met het vullen van een envelop voor de allereerste SWAP waar ik aan mee doe. Natuurlijk georganiseerd door de Scrapbooknook! Ben zo benieuwd wat er straks in mijn envelop zal zitten!

This afternoon I started filling an envelop for the fellow scrapbooker I was assigned for a Nook SWAP; my very first SWAP. Can't wait for my envelop to arrive!!

En deze tekening heeft Mats net voor Tim gemaakt omdat Tim zo van `rooi` houdt. Toen ik vroeg of Mats ook van rood houdt zei hij `nee, Mats houdt van geel`. Zo schattig!!

And this drawing Mats made for Timothy, because Timothy loves red. And when I asked him `do you love red too?`, he answered `no, Mats loves yellow`. So very sweet!!!

Zonsverduistering

Gisteren met alle kinderen, incl. onze logé's Dion en Robin, naar Schiphol geweest. Patrick moest zijn ogen laten scannen zodat hij voortaan geen paspoort meer nodig heeft, maar eerst zijn we met z'n allen op het panorama terras gaan kijken. Leuk!! (Jammer dat het zo vreselijk heet was!)

Yesterday we took all the kids (5! our nephews incl) to Schiphol to look at all the planes. From the panorama terrace we had such a great view! Pity it was so terribly hot and there wasn't a spot of shadow to be found!

Toen we thuis kwamen sprongen ze allemaal in het zwembad in de tuin en daarna natuurlijk weer achter de NDS! Toen we 's avonds vroegen wat het leukst geweest was van de hele logeerpartij was het antwoord: op de NDS spelen! Nou ja! Ik weet wel dat ik volgende keer geen moeite ga doen om iets leuks te bedenken!!

After Schiphol we went straight home and into the pool!! (well, the kids, not me). They had such fun! They jumped via the trampoline into the pool while yelling to their hearts content! Luckily almost all our neighbours are on holiday! During dinner we asked the kids what they had liked most today and guess what they answered? Playing on the NDS!!! I know what I'm gonna do next time we have the kid's friends over: NOTHING!

This morning we have been looking at the solar eclipse. The last one was 9 years ago so even Timothy had never seen one before! Since we had kept the glasses we could all have a good look! Beautiful!

Mats wilde natuurlijk ook even kijken waar wij nou allemaal zo enthousiast over waren. Alleen bleef hij maar vragen of hij ook naar de maan mocht kijken terwijl wij het allemaal over de zonsverduistering hadden.....zou hij begrijpen wat er nou aan de hand was???? Je zou het bijna denken!

Even Mats wanted to know what it was all about! He then kept asking if he could have another look at the moon! So sweet!
