Pretty Little Studio Pinterest Inspired Layout

Hi everyone, here's a layout I created for Pretty Little Studio's "Pinterest Inspiration" feature. I used the "Let's Go" collection because of the soft colors of some of the papers, which were perfect for what I had in mind.

This is the Pinterest image we used: 

I really love the soft colors of this photo so I chose a few papers, a clear sheet and a vellum strip in soft neutral colors and got started. I selected this photo of my daughter and her partner because of the romantic aspect of the Pinterest photo.

I also added a journaling card, some die-cut feathers and flair button, but wasn’t very happy with the end result. I decided to add a large pink flower cut file, a large title and a die-cut note flag with a gold heart sticker and that was so much better. (The sentiment I stamped on the note flag came from my stash.)

Next came the banner in the top right corner, the machine stitching and the paint drops and I was finished!

New Imaginisce Collection: Sunny! - Decorating a Clipboard

Hi everyone! Yesterday my post went up on Imaginisce's blog and here's what I did: I decorated a clipboard using the brand new Sunny collection.

I decided on decorating this clipboard to collect ideas for our family summer vacation. We have no idea yet what we're going to do this summer, or rather, we have too many ideas but we just can't decide and pick one. All 5 of us want to do something else and now we're kind of stuck and nothing is happening. So something had to be done and then I came up with this idea: every family member will cut/print out his/her favorite summer destination and clip it on this board. Then in about 2 weeks time we'll sit around the table and assess all ideas and pick a number 1, 2 and 3 and see if we can agree on something we all like.

Here's a closer look at the clipboard I made using the fantastic Sunny collection:

I had a hard time choosing only a few of the fabulous patterned papers and decided on these fun patterns and with the addition of the journaling cards, a 3D sticker, some die-cut shapes and some Thickers I was done. Don't you just wish it was Summer already?!

I love all the pretty designs with the sun glasses, the bicycles, the flamingos, the cameras, the sea shells .... and then those awesome colors! 

Both journaling cards were cut from the sheet called "Good Vibes":

These pink puffy letter stickers are a perfect match for this collection, don't you agree?

Scraptastic Pinterest Inspired Layout

Hi everyone! Last Monday Jana and I were up on Scraptastic Club's blog with our Pinterest inspired projects. 

We found these images on Pinterest and felt inspired straight away:

I used the February Sunday Morning kit and add-on for my page: 

I used the arrow design of the grey image and translated this idea to my layout. I decided to adhere my photo and all other embellishments in the same angle as the papers and although I normally like to have my photos etc. horizontal I really like the effect of this.

The arrows in the colored pin were just like the arrows from the WeR sticker sheet and so I had to use these somewhere on my page. I added one of Scraptastic exclusive wood veneer hearts for the finishing touch.

I really love the colors of the pin and used these as much as possible, even in my title:

I love that the WeR sticker sheet contains mini alphabet stickers as well. Of course I also had to use the Amy Tangerine Thickers!

Doodlebug Swiss Dots Layout

Hi everyone! On Doodlebug's blog we're featuring their "Swiss Dots" collection and last Friday my layout was up. I thought I'd share it here too: as I adore Doodlebug's happy, bright colors and can never get enough of them, I wanted to create a layout using as many of the colors as possible and came up with this:

I started my layout with the large circle cut file from The Cut Shoppe (Right On Target) and filled it with 16 (!) different colors. Next I needed a photo and chose these two of my daughter with her grand parents (my dad and his wife). The photo was taken during the party we had for her when she got back from the States, hence the American flag in the background. 

I decorated the layout with these large "mix & match Valentine Flowers" and the "matte sprinkles" from the "Sweet Things" collection: 

And I also used stickers, mini doodle-pops and sweet hearts shape sprinkles from the "Sweet Things" collection:

And of course I needed a large title (from the Silhouette store) for which I used my Silhouette once again:

Play & Get Wet | Imaginisce

Hello everyone! I totally forgot to share this Imaginisce Par-r-rty Me Hearty layout. It's been on Imaginisce's blog last week, so maybe you've already seen it, but for those of you who haven't, here it is.

As it's a grey and cold February day here in The Netherlands I decided it was high time to scrap some sunny photos to cheer me up. I chose these photos of two of my kids playing in the sea. They were taken a while ago, when we were on vacation in California, which was one of the best vacations ever!

Because of my daughter's pink vest I reached automatically for the pink papers in the Par-r-rty Me Hearty collection and with the use of my Silhouette Cameo I created the background.

Next I adhered the two photos on top and tucked a few tags, stickers and die-cuts behind them (I always put the adhesive in the middle of my photo so I can tuck bits and pieces behind them later). Next I cut part of the title (again with the Cameo), added the large sandcastle die-cut and added the rest of the title using different colors Thickers.

A few (puffy) stickers, stamps, drops of color shine and stitching came next and I was done!

Imaginisce March Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone! It's time for the new Imaginisce sketch challenge! Here's what I created using the Family Fun collection: 

The photos were taken last week, when my hubby went on a business trip to south Africa and took a few days off to enjoy the beauty of this country.
