Voetbaltaart

Vorige maand was mijn dochter jarig en Conny, mijn vriendin (al 35 jaar!!), had toen een voetbaltaart voor haar gemaakt. Dat moest natuurlijk gescrapt worden!!!

Last month my dd turned 14 and to celebrate this my friend Conny made her a birthday cake!! a soccer ball!! Isn't it gorgeous.... we were afraid to touch it, let alone eat it!! But after I promised my dd I would create a scrapbook page about it, we devoured it!

Crop Addict December 2010 kit layouts

Was het bij jullie de afgelopen dagen ook zo hectisch??? Hier was het echt een gekkenhuis! Ik vind de december maand één van de leukste maanden van het jaar, maar waarom eigenlijk? Ik ben elk jaar weer aan het stressen en wordt er 's nachts gewoon wakker van! Gelukkig gaat het tot nu toe nog goed. Timothy's surprise en gedicht waren op tijd af, met het inkopen doen gaat het ook goed (nog 1 dingetje - en de gedichten natuurlijk) en ook mijn layouts voor Crop Addict waren (zo goed als) op tijd klaar!

Hier zijn de vier projecten die ik tot nu toe met de kit van Crop Addict heb gemaakt:

These last days have been so terribly hectic! It was like a madhouse! I keep waking up in the middle of the night thinking of all the things I still have to do!! but luckily I got the 4 projects for Crop Addict finished in time!! These projects are all created with the December 2010 Monthly Scrapbooking Kit!

Vanmorgen mocht ik de sinterklaasviering bijwonen bij Mats op school. Het was weer prachtig om te zien hoe zenuwachtig en opgewonden die "kleintjes" waren! Ze hadden allemaal hun best gedaan een toneelstukje of liedje in te studeren. Mats' klas had een liedje waar allerlei gebaren bij hoorden, heel leuk maar .... zo druk als ze tijdens het repeteren waren, zo rustig waren ze met het werkelijke optreden!! 

This morning I attended the Sinterklaas party at Mats' school. It's so much fun to see all the kids full of anticipation and a little nervous. Some of the kids were wearing Sinterklaas or "black Piet" outfits, but not Mats :-(. They started the morning in their own class, where they rehearsed a song and then after the arrival of the "Sint" the kids went to the gymnastics hall where the acutal party was going to be. I loved being part of this!!

Vorig jaar wilde Mats zich nog wel verkleden, maar dit jaar vond hij alleen een pietenmuts wel genoeg!!

Last year Mats wanted to dress up for the sinterklaas party at school, but this year he thought that the hat was enough!

Een stel boeven .... uh pieten op een rij!

Nog maar 2 nachtjes slapen en het is zover!! Mats kan niet wachten!! (en ik ben stiekem blij als het weer voorbij is....).

Only two more nights and then ..... presents!!!

Sketch #92 The Scrappiest

And because today it's Monday here's the new sketch from Liz at The Scrappiest!!

And here's the layout I created based on this sketch:

I used the new Imaginisce (Enchanted line) which arrived at my LSS just when I happened to be there! The pics are of my dd and her bff some 8 years ago.... I'm so happy I finally scrapped these!

Yes, of course I used my shape tool from Epiphany Crafts. This time the shape tool heart number 14.

and hidden in the envelop there's some journaling.

2 new layouts and a prize!

Just thought I would show you the two layouts I made for Inkido.

The first layout features a photo of my sister's three kids together with my three (December 2007):

Materials: patterned paper: Apples (Golden Delicious), Christmas Elegance (Tags and Banners) and Tuva (Chocolate Truffle), red and golden cardstock, stamp, flowers, leave, pins, pearls, charms and ribbon all from Inkido!

And the second layout features more recent photos: Mats preparing for St.Maarten 11-11-2010

Materials: Patterned paper (Gammaldags Jul "God Jul" and "Julnoter" and Apples "Golden Delicious"), blue, golden and brown cardstock, flowers, leaves, ribbon, chipboard and pins.... all from Inkido!!!
I machine stitched and hand stitched the papers, sprayed some glimmermist over the flowers, the leaves and the star and inked the punched owl. To create the title I used my Revolution.

And then the prize I won with the American Crafts challenge:

I chose the "Enchanted" line and they sent me everything: papers, laser cut sheets, stickers, thickers, brads, tape, ribbons, stamps......!!!!! I'm still in shock!! and very happy!! :-)

Another Tilda layout

.... and this time about "me"!

As these Tilda papers were still laying on my scrap desk from the last layout, I decided to use them again.

I created this layout with the sketch from "Get Picky". As you know I love sketches, so I decided to give it a go. The "polaroid" photos I created via a gadget I downloaded from this site: Poladroid. Super duper easy and so much fun!!

The journaling is about things I love and define me.

And - of course - I used my shape tools from Epiphany Crafts... told you, I can't do a layout without them anymore! Here I used the "button studio tool round 20" and the "shape studio tool round 14".

And of course a little owl.... on a page about "me" there has to be on owl!!!
