School Bus - Imaginisce

Hi everyone! Here's another Imaginisce layout I haven't shared before; a school related page this time.

Almost all school kids here in The Netherlands envy the kids in America who get to go to school in such an awesome yellow school bus (we don't have those). So when my daughter went to High School in the US last year she was so happy she could finally go on that fun yellow school bus too! My boys envied her so much!! And then when we went to visit my daughter last May and we saw this yellow school bus standing empty on a parking lot, well yes, I just had to take a pic!!

For this layout I used a mix of two of Imaginisce's collections: Childhood Memories and Heartland Farm.

And I finally got around to add a bit more journaling than I normally do. I find it so hard to remember to leave some space for it.

I also added some wood veneers from Studio Calico and some flairs and a few drops of color mist for the finishing touch.

Guest Designing for 2 Crafty Girls

Hi everyone! Last month Sandi Lee from "2 Crafty Girls" asked me if I wanted to be a guest designer for them for the month of August and of course I said yes! I could choose to work with digital stamps from the following sponsors:

I decided to use this super cute stamp from Lacy Sunshine and because I love sketches, I chose the sketch from the challenge board and got started. I grabbed my Copics and the July True Colors kit from Scraptastic Club and created this: 

I had so much fun coloring that I asked myself why I'm not doing this more often! (although this also made me realize how much I depend on my reading glasses nowadays, lol).

Summer in New Orleans - Imaginisce

Hello everyone! Here's another layout using Imaginisce products for you. For today's layout I decided to use one of Imaginisce's older collections: Perfect Vacation. It's one of my favorite Imaginisce collections and as I still had quite a bit of it I thought this would be perfect for the idea I had in my mind. I wanted to scrap one large photo and the sheet with the large map is just ideal to use as background!

Last May we've been to New Orleans and booked a mini cruise on the Mississippi River on "Steamboat Natchez". We had such a wonderful time that it had to be scrapped!! Here's what I did:

A page like this doesn't need a whole lot of papers and embellishments, but I did want to include those fabulous die-cuts and made two little clusters to add to the left and right of the photo, which I adhered using Imaginisce's cordless pink glue gun.

Next I added the title and because of the large photo I wanted the title to be large as well. I used different AC Thickers in different sizes and colors to achieve this.

Last but not least came the journaling and a little wood veneer heart and I was done! Hope you like it!

The Good Life - Imaginisce

Today I had the time to just sit down and create a layout for fun! The kids were away to some amusement park and I had the house to myself. I chose the Heartland Farm collection from Imaginisce and these photos of my youngest and I and got started. Here's the result after an afternoon playing:

For the background I used a sheet of patterned paper with the strip at the bottom still attached and instead cut a strip off at the top of the sheet. I love the playful effect this gives. 

Next I misted my white cardstock with some yellow Mister Huey's while holding the paper upright, so the mist would run down my page. I chose a large cut file and placed a little pile of layered scraps and my photos on top. I carefully lifted the corners and stamped some flower images on the right and left. 

Next I added the title, more stamps, some drops of mist, a few enamel dots, cardstock die-cuts, a wood bottle cap and some silver glam rocks with Imaginisce's I-Rock Tool. 

Last but not least I wrote a bit of journaling and machine stitched the sides and through the word "fun".

Summer!! - Imaginisce

Hi everyone! Today I've got a layout celebrating Summer!! Maybe you've seen it already on Imaginisce's blog, but I thought I'd share it here too. To be honest I'm not a huge fan of the sun, but my kids adore sunny and warm weather, especially when we go on vacation to the south of France and they get to swim in the lukewarm Mediterranean Sea.

Here's my youngest ready to dive in:

Again I've used the awesome Heartland Farm collection, of which I really love the beautiful colors and patterns. 

When scrapping a photo taken in the south of France you just need to include this sun flower die-cut! 

I love to use digital cut files on my pages, especially large ones like this one from The Cut Shoppe and the large scribble cut file from JustNick. The AC wood veneer was also waiting on my desk to be used! 

For the finishing touch I added a few drops of color mist and added some silver glam rocks. The I-Rock Tool is perfect for quickly adding fun elements to your page!
