My Creative Scrapbook January Main Kit Tutorial | Go The Scenic Route Step-By_Step

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a step-by-step of one of the layouts I created with the January Main Kit from the kit club My Creative Scrapbook. I was so happy when I saw this kit, with all it's bright and happy colors of the "Go The Scenic Route" collection from Paige Evans! I'm a huge fan of Paige's collections and so I couldn't wait to dig in!

Here's the layout for which I created the step-by-step:

The photo I scrapped is of my oldest son and our Cocker Spaniel pup. They make me so happy every day and so they were a perfect subject!

I started my layout by preparing the watercolor background paper. Included in the kit was a fun stencil so I grabbed my watercolor paints and got started:

Next I cut three strips of paper and punched some circles and distressed the edges before I adhered everything in the middle of my paper:

Also included in the kit was this set of Jillibean Soup stamps and matching dies. So of course I wanted to use those too:

I stamped a few of the words on my page:

The next step was to mat the photo (distress the edges) and add a few die-cuts to it:

This photo was placed in the middle of the layout and more die-cuts and chipboards were added to it:

Next I added some machine stitching:

Included in the kit was also a bottle of Prima fine shimmer spray (just add water). I added a few drops of this to my page:

And my page was done!!

Hope you like it! Here are a few more detail photos:

Eat Sleep Scrap Repeat | Pretty Little Studio

Hello friends! I'm so happy it's my turn on the Pretty Little Studio blog today! I'm sharing this layout created with the beautiful Miss Sadie Rose collection for my layout and a digital cut file from Paige Evans. Here's what I made:

For the background I used a sheet of watercolor paper. I painted it in a light pink color using my Gelatos and some water. When it had dried I added pink Nuvo mousse using a 6" x 6" stencil with lots of "broken" hearts.

Next I backed the cut file with 5 different patterned papers, using a different paper for each word. To create a bit of depth I used foam tape to adhere the cut file on the background paper.

Around the photo I created a cluster with some die-cuts and word stickers and beneath the photo I added a lenght of sewing machine thread.

I really love the little pink word stickers in this collection and used them on several places on my page:

The little purse is a super cute sticker as well:

This is it! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and please don't forget to check out this beautiful collection in the Pretty Little Studio store

Pretty Little Studio | Happy New Year

Hello friends! I’m so happy to share my first Pretty Little Studio layout for 2021. I thought it would be a good idea to create a layout with a photo where we celebrate the start of the new year (of course I'm the one behind the camera) and especially the end of 2020! (I've never been so happy to say goodbye to a year as this year!).

Here’s the layout I created. I used the Christmas Cheer collection with some bits and pieces of the Miss Sadie Rose collection. The cut file is from Paige Evans.

I started with pasting gold Nuvo mousse on the cut file and than I backed the letters with three different patterned papers from the Christmas Cheer collection. Next I used my sewing machine to stitch on and around the cut file.

I matted the photo of my husband and our kids with another piece of patterned paper from the Christmas Cheer collection and also added some die-cuts:

The stars are from the Christmas Cheer collection and all the flower die-cuts are from the Miss Sadie Rose collection. The large snow flakes are cut files I cut with my Silhouette.

On the right side of the photo I added a fun cluster with some die-cuts and a flair button:

On the right side of the layout I added two more clusters, here’s one of them:

After adding a couple of liquid pearl drops around all clusters for some extra texture I decided my layout was done.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog to take a peek at my page.

Wishing you a wonderful week and thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to take a look in the shop at this awesome Christmas Cheer collection!
