Another "Elle's Studio" sketch layout ...

Happy National Scrapbook Day everyone!!

Have you been scrapping too, like me? I have to admit, it was a bit of a challenge as I never have a lot of me-time during weekends. All kinds of demands and questions are being aimed at me: "mom, can you do this?", "mom, where's that?", "Monique, can you .........?", whatever it is, mom has the solution or is supposed to find it/do it etc.

But, like I said in a recent post, if I want to scrapbook in a short period of time, a sketch and a kit never fail! So, I grabbed my April kit from the Scraptastic Club and the Thursday May 2nd sketch from Elle's Studio again and just got started. And here's the result:

and a few close-ups:

This photo was taken in New York in October 2011. The kids insisted on buying this ice cream as it looked delish, but what a disappointment: a tasted like paper!

Supplies: April 2013 "8 Days a Week" kit from Scraptastic Club, stamps from Studio Calico, golden AC Thickers, cuts made with my Cameo, Freckled Fawn washi tape from Paper Issues

And here's the sketch from Elle's Studio:

If you want to see what the April kit from the Scraptastic Club looks like:

This is what I had to show you today. I'm curious ... are you scrapbooking too today? and what are you making? I would love to see, so if you want to share, please do and I'll be over in a sec!

Have a fab weekend!

  1. Ik zou willen dat ik dat kon, zo snel een lay-out maken en dan ook nog een die zó mooi is! Echt prachtig!

  2. so beautiful! I adore the banner at the top of your page!

  3. Beautiful page, Monique! You always have the best little bits and pieces on y our pages. So the kids didn't care for their first taste of snow cones? I don't blame them. They're not my favorite either.

  4. Beautiful, Monique! Love the layering and the colors! It is hard finding time. Even with my one girl. Even the cat is demanding!

  5. Dat werkt erg goed voor jou een kit en een schets....elke keer weer een prachtige layout! Ik vind het super, jammer voor de kids dat het ijs niet te eten was.

  6. So gorgeous, Monique! The layers........swoon!!! I love every bit of this layout. I sooo get you on time for yourself. The word "mom" echoes in my brain constantly. Oy. I'm so glad you grabbed a chance to make something beautiful, though! :)
