Together You & Me | Pretty Little Studio

Hello everyone! For my blog post on Pretty Little Studio's blog I created a Christmas layout using the Glitter & Ice collection. I love this collection so much that every time I’m using it to scrap my layouts or my December Daily I get so happy! Let me show you what I made:

For my layout I started with preparing a background using a template with diamonds, Nuvo embellishment mousse and some pink Distress Oxide Spray. Next I matted my photo on a few pieces of patterned paper and a piece of a clear sheet. I added lots of die-cuts (Christmas trees, words, frame, hearts).

I just love the extra dimension the mousse gives to the layout.

Here you can see the clear sheet with the trees and of course I had to add some machine stitching as well.

I love this photo of my daughter and I. My office is right in the centre of the town and often when my daughter has a moment of free time she calls me to ask if I want to have coffee or a hot cocoa with her somewhere nearby and of course I say yes as often as I can! We love something sweet as well, so I was very happy when I found this die-cut in the Glitter & Ice collection!

Apart from all the die-cuts in this collection there are also many awesome little word stickers! Like this one:

I stamped the date (twice) and added three little flags in the top right corner of my page, using a tiny attacher to fasten them. I completed this layout by adding two strips of typed journaling.

Here’s what I used for my page: Glitter & Ice collection: 8×8 paper pack; Clear: Tree Scatter 8×8; Die-Cuts: Warm Wishes Tags, Santa is Coming, Happy Season, Twinkle Lights, Fir Tree, Wonderful Frames, Tis the Season; Stickers: Oh What Fun; Cut-Aparts: Twas The Night Flags;

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and taking a peek at my page! And don’t forget to check out the Pretty Little Studio Shop for this amazing collection!
Hope to see you next time!

This Year - JustNick & Doodlebug Design

Hi everyone! It's Monique here wishing you all a wonderful 2020! I hope you had a fabulous New Year's Eve! Today I'm sharing a layout with my resolutions for the new year on JustNick's blog. I have to admit that I tend to forget my resolutions pretty quickly, but I do like to make them nonetheless.

Here's the layout I created, using the "Say What" and "This Year" cut files:

These are the cut files I used: "Say What" and "This Year" (will be added to the store soon!), both of which I cut from a sheet of white cardstock:

I'm a huge fan of Doodlebug Design's products so I chose a mix of their collections to create this page. My resolutions were typed in Word and then printed on five different pieces of patterned paper (Doodlebug's Petite Print). Next I cut them in the right shape using my Silhouette Cameo.

Before adhering the word bubbles cut file I added some yellow paint to my white cardstock background (sprayed this on a piece of plastic packaging and wiped it over my background paper).

As Doodlbug's papers are already so colorful I decided to leave the cut files white and use a black & white photo. I matted the photo on two pieces of patterned paper and created a little cluster on the left side:

On the right side of the photo I wrote a little more about my resolutions:

I also added a few stickers here and there and after adding the compulsory machine stitching I considered my layout done!

Hope you like it! Thank you so much for stopping by on this second day of the year. Don't forget to check out the JustNick store for these and many more fabulous cut files!

Oh What Fun! - My Mind's Eye "Holly Jolly" | My Creative Scrapbook

Hello friends, I hope you've had a wonderful Christmas! We had a great time, with lots of family time and even some "me" time as well (to scrap, read and watch Christmas movies on Netflix). Love this time of year! So for today I've got another Christmas layout as well as a few Christmas cards to share. I used the December Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook for these projects, featuring the "Holly Jolly" collection from My Mind's Eye.

The photos were taken during a December Daily workshop at "Scrapwereld" last year. We had so much fun! (sadly I haven't finished the album just yet)
Here are a few close-ups:

I used one of the free MCS exclusive digital cut files "Starry Skies".

And next up are the Xmas cards I made:

and separately:

And this is the December Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook:

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful New Year Eve tomorrow!!

Merry & Bright - My Creative Scrapbook step-by-step

Hi everyone! I've got a layout to share which I created for My Creative Scrapbook using the December Main Kit featuring the Country Christmas collection from Simple Stories. The first thing I always look for in a kit are the die-cuts! Die-cuts are my favorite items in a collection and so I was very happy when I found lots of them in this month's kit!! To make the best use of the them I decided to create a large Christmas tree solely with die-cuts. I did however need a background for my tree and because the kit also contained a super cute text stamp from Prima I used that for my background!

Let me quickly show you what I made and how I did this. Here's my layout with the die-cut tree:

And here's how I created this:

I started with assembling everything I thought I would need:

Just look at all the die-cuts and some chipboards as well:

Using the text stamp from the kit I stamped the shape of a tree on the white carstock background,:

On top I painted with colored Gelato and also added a few drops of Color Shine from my stash:

Now I was ready to start adding the die-cuts:

Starting at the bottom with the larger pieces I worked my way up:

The chipboards in the kit were so beautiful as well, so I needed a few of those in the tree as well, like the angel and the "Merry & Bright" piece:

Next came the photo on the left side of the tree:

With two rows of machine stitching my layout was done! Hope you like it! Here are a few more close-ups:

December Daily Day 1 - 2 | Pretty Little Studio

Hello friends! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Here in the Netherlands we are enjoying our 2nd Christmas Day and we listening to the anual "Top 2000". A music programme we look forward to the entire year!

Today I'm sharing the first few pages of my December Daily 2019 (maybe you already saw them when I shared them on the blog of Pretty Little Studio). Every year I enthusiastically start a December Daily and most of the time it takes me at least a year to finish it, but this year I’m determined to finish it in January! When I saw the Glitter & Ice collection by Kim Watson I knew which collection I was going to use! In November I bought Ali Edward’s 3″ x 8″ green linen December Daily album as I really loved the different format. I was so happy when I saw that the Glitter & Ice collection contains journaling cards in just this size!

Let me show you what I created so far:

For the first page I chose the pink “Pretty Baubles” paper and added die-cuts and stickers on top. Take a look at that cute polar bear!

Of course this needed a little machine stiching as well.

Day 1 – Our Elf arrives. This page didn’t need a whole lot more. A date sticker and a word stickers was enough. And the journaling of course.

In the Netherlands where I live, we celebrate “Sinterklaas” on the 5th of December, so we buy our tree after the 5th.

I love the “Hello December” journaling card and that mug with hot chocolate sticker!

This cute photo had enough space at the bottom for a tag with a word flag and sticker.

Then on to the next page. A photo of our dinner on day 1 and another adorable journaling card. Then day 2. Not much happening on this day, but I found some sweets on my pillow (I have such a sweet hubby) and I got to open parcel two of my scrappy advent calendar.

Loving the format of the album!

How adorable is this journaling card?!

The word sticker “no peeking” is perfect for the Advent Calendar photo!

So these are the first few pages of my December Daily. I find starting a project the hardest part, so now that is out of the way, finishing it should be easy! (if only December wasn’t so busy!). And you? Do you do a December Daily? and do you use some Pretty Little Studio products as well?

Here’s a list of what I used: Glitter & Ice collection: 8×8 paper pack; Journaling cards: Merry & Bright, Sparkle Bright; Die-Cuts: Warm Wishes Tags, Tis The Season, Twinkle Lights; Stickers: Oh What Fun, Mini ABC Christmas Shopping; Cut-Aparts: Twas The Night Flags;

Wishing you a wonderful weekend with lots of crafting! Don’t forget to check out the Pretty Little Studio Shop for this amazing collection!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Oh What Fun | My Creative Scrapbook December Creative Kit Reveal

It's time for the December kits at My Creative Scrapbook! Using the December Creative Kit, featuring the My Mind's Eye "Holly Jolly" collection I created amongst others this page about Ginny, my 4 months old English Cocker Spaniel wearing her Rudolf suit:

She is so sweet I can't stop taking photos of her (and scrapping them). I have to remind myself to take some photos of the rest of the family as well, lol! Here are some close-ups:

Ever since I discovered the Nuvo paste I'm kind of addicted to it. I tend to add it to all layouts with white cardstock backgrounds.

I love this month's MCS free digital cut files, like this banner (designed by Ashley Horton).

Here's a photo of the December Creative Kit:

And a photo of the free cut file:
