Two Boys Layouts | My Creative Scrapbook May Main Kit

Hi friends! As the end of the month is nearing I thought I would share the other 2 layouts I created with the May Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. Both of these are boys layouts for a change, lol.

Here's the first, my oldest son, helping me decorate for Easter:

He's not overly font of having his photo taken so that's why he's not featured in my layouts that often.

I think all these blues and greens are perfect for boys layouts, even paired with all the pinks.

Here's the second boys layout I created with this kit. In this page both my boys feature:

This photo was taken in France last year. We had such an amazing time!

So, these were the last two layouts I created with this May kit. The layouts made with the June kit are coming up soon!

If you want to check out this kit or any of the past kits then hop over to the site of My Creative Scrapbook.

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to look at what I made! Wishing you a wonderful day!

Step by Step with My Creative Scrapbook May Main Kit | Horizon Paige Evans | Adventure

Hi everyone! I'm sharing a step by step for this fun and colorful layout I created for My Creative Scrapbook with their May Main Kit. The Horizon collection from Paige Evans (Pink Paislee) is one of my favorite collections right now because of those wonderful vibrant colors!

For today's project I decided to look for inspiration on Pinterest and found this image:

source: Society6

As this month MCS offers a free globe digital cut file I thought this was the perfect image to use!
I got out my kit and Silhouette Cameo and got started straight away! Here's the end result:

Don't you just love those colors?!!

Here are some photos of my creative process:

I started with assembling everything I thought I might need:

I chose my favorite sheet in this collection to cut the globe from (paper 3):

Except for the globe cut file MCS offers a few more cut files this months, amongst others some beautiful flower cut files:

I placed the globe in the center of my white cardstock background and arranged the flowers on the left side of the globe. In the Pinterest inspiration photo the entire globe is filled with flowers. I considered this, but as I love the word "adventure" and wanted to keep it I decided against this.

Next I matted my photo and placed it on the right side of the globe and started embellishing the rest of my layout. I added a few butterflies in the flowers and a journaling card above my photo.

As I thought there was just too much white I trimmed 1 cm off all sides of the white cardstock and placed it on one of the multi colored papers from the Horizon collection (paper 24).

Now all I had to do was to just add more embellishments, like the bike between the flowers (bicycles are the main means of transport here in The Netherlands), a flower die-cut, a heart die-cut, a bit of  hand written journaling below the photo, a stamped date and a few drops of glimmer mist:

I also wanted to add a few of those puffy stickers:

This page was done in no time at all! I love when that happens! Sometimes it takes me ages to complete a layout (up to a week!) and sometimes I'm done in an hour!

Here are a few more close-ups:

Isn't this May Main Kit awesome?!

These are the cut files I used. You can find them on MCS's website under "Add On kits" and then scroll down.

And this is the May Main Kit:

If you want to see all 4 May kits please visit MCS's website and for photos of projects created by the design team with the various kit, see the Design Team Gallery.

All Of Me Loves All Of You | JustNick

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing another layout created for JustNick. For this layout I used one of the brand new JustNick cut files: "Build A Flower 9" and an older one "All Of Me" and a photo of my daughter standing in a field full of tulips, taken last month.

As we live in The Netherlands we have flowers everywhere. These tulips grew around the corner of our house (more or less). Don't you just love tulips? They make me so happy! Because of all the flowers in the photo I thought this new cut file was just perfect for my page!

Build a Flower 9:

I looked in the JustNick store for a fitting title and found the "All Of Me" cut file. I loved it straight away!

All Of Me:

For my layout I used a 6" x 6" paper pad from the Pink Paislee collection "Turn The Page" and some brads and that was all! Here are a few close-ups:

To build the flowers I used some good old fashioned brads. I can't remember when I last used those! It felt real good to use them again.

Before adhering the flowers and the photo on the white cardstock background I colored it a little bit pink using a blender brush and a pink ink pad and added a few drops of glimmer mist.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Don't forget to visit the JustNick store to check out these cut files or any other cut file!

Happy scrapping!

You Make My Heart Soar | Doodlebug Design

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing the layout I created for the iNSD challenge at Scrapbook dot com . This is the challenge:

The Scrapbooker’s Choice Challenge is open to scrapbookers of all types. Are you a traditional scrapbooker, pocket-page scrapbooker, love using mixed media or stamps on your layouts, or use a planner for memory keeping? Share your creative passion this National Scrapbook Day by creating a project that embodies your memory keeping style! This challenge is open to everyone and your project(s) should showcase how much you love the art of scrapbooking!

I used Doodlebug's French Kiss collection and think this layout showcases my love for scrapbooking and my scrapbooking style perfectly.

The photo of my hubby and me was taken last month when the tree in our front garden was in full bloom (such a shame this lasts only for a day or 10).

The cut file of the balloon is from JustNick Studio and is called "Up In The Air".

A few close-ups:

Love this collection with the red, white, blue and pink colors!

Thanks for taking a peek! Off to scrap some more!
