Winter | Pretty Little Studio, Frosty Collection

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing my first layout created with the new "Frosty" collection from Pretty Little Studio. I was so happy when the Frosty collection finally arrived in my part of the world. I couldn't wait to get started! But as I work in an office during the week I had to wait for the weekend before I could play.

Last February we had a few days of very cold weather here in the Netherlands and in no time at all all ditches, ponds and canals were frozen over. We sooooo loved it and the kids quickly went to find their ice skates.

For Ginny, our dog, it was the first time she saw snow and ice and although at first she didn't know what to think, it didn't take her long to decide she loved it!!

Of course I took lots of photos and the Frosty collection is really perfect for them! Here's what I made:

For the background I chose the "Winter" sheet and added blue and pink stamping ink (distress oxide) with water and a stamp from my stash. On top I machine stitched two strips of patterned paper (the blue checkered sheet from the 12" x 12" paper pack and the top sheet of this same pack). I matted the larger photo on a piece of patterned paper and adhered this photo as well as the smaller photo on the strips of paper.

Next I added die-cuts and stickers and machine stitched around the entire page. The white cardstock word "winter" was cut with my Silhouette but all the rest is from the Frosty collection.

Isn't this a super cute collection?!! I adore it! Here are a few more close-ups:

I had such a fun time creating this page!!

Here's a list of the PLS products I used:
